Really enjoy coming to shop here for my Asian food requirements. They have a wonderful assortment of restaurants, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, Filipino, etc. I can always find what I need at T&T. The mall has a good selection of stores, good parking and kept very clean. Their dim sum, sushi/sashimi bar and assorted cooked food pick me up items makes your mouth water. The Asian market T&T is the anchor of this mall. You'll find fresh fruits, produces, meat and great many varieties of Asian goods there. The Bakery is also very well stocked with many freshly baked items on display. The food court offers quite a few selections of different cuisines. The Vietnamese was very good there. read more

This is an Asian mall. Inside there is T&T. That would be the most popular store in the entire mall. Most of the stores here are tailored to Asians (Filipinos, Chinese, Vietnamese and etc). Parking lot out front is huge. Plenty of space to park. They got a new addition to the mall and that is Jollibee. The best thing about this mall is that it is walking distance to Marlbourgh station. Super convenient for me (someone who lives within walking distance to the C-train or beside the C-train). read more

Call me crazy, but I have a soft spot for the Pacific Place Mall. It's our little slice of Asia located right up in Marlborough. First of all, how much do I love the food court? I love it a lot. Schwarma, Filipino Food, Dim Sum (from T&T's hot food counters), Vietnamese subs, and even sushi are all available. It's a perfect place to nosh before getting started in on the shopping. The bigger ticket items are T&T, a bowling alley and the Movie Dome respectively, and I wonder if they are what makes finding a parking spot almost impossible. Just navigating the parking lot is stressful, and forget finding a parking spot right away (although tip: there is limited parking round back). That does not actually stop me from coming back on a biweekly basis. Okay, T&T is my necessity, but I love poking my head into all the other stores. There are a couple of bubble tea stores, a shoe store and a number of clothing stores that bring me right back. The jewelry stores tend to feature plasticky and blingy fruit inspired earrings, which to me is heaven. There are not one, but two dollar stores, one of which also has a small Filipino grocery. There are two video stores, and one tiny but packed techno-market. My favourite places to peruse are actually the strip opposite to T&T which have Ten Ren Teas, a Chinese Apothecary and a beautiful Japanese dish store whose name I have forgotten which is kind of pathetic as I was just browsing there today. Anyways, needless to say there are tons of hidden treasures in Pacific Place mall and a really awesome food court. Like plants! They have an awesome little plant kiosk. T&T is the main focus of the ferverent energy of T&T, but the food court can be pretty busy too, which sucks when you're trying to find a table for two at two pm. read more

Pacific Place Mall - Shopping Centers Near Me - Calgary, Alberta

I love Pacific Place Mall for 2 reasons: 1) Inside of it is my #1 favourite bubble tea joint in town (Bubblicious) 2) Inside of it is T & T Supermarket which I LOVE to frequent Things that I DON"T love about this mall: 1) The parking situation! Drivers are CRA-ZY 2) How busy & crowded it always is 3) People don't always adhere to "courteous shopping etiquette" Overall though, the two reasons that make me love it are enough for me to grant it 4 stars hands down. I only know of 3 Asian malls in Calgary, but this one, just kiddie-corner to Marlborough Mall, (in the location of the old Franklin Mall) is the most vast one. Firstly, my favorite part is the giant T&T Supermarket, because I'm a sucker for exotic things. I especially like that I can easily acquire Hello Kitty snacks, imported right from cities in Asia ^_^ There are a multitude of other interesting stores, some expensive, some not...don't worry if you are not of Asian descent. I have seen many different backgrounds' of humans here. However, I quite miss having easy access to that bowling alley, which *used to have double glass doors leading into it from the mall, but they closed those awhile ago due to loitering teens...now to gain access one must go around to the outside doors. *sigh*...that was one of my favorite haunts as a teen, seeing as how it has not only a bowling alley, but vending machines, arcade games and pool tables. Oh, and let's not forget the MovieDome right next door (no mall access). The MovieDome is great because the tickets are only $5 vs. mainstream movie ticket prices, but the reason is the movies they show are ones that are no longer being shown in the mainstream theatres. This is a pretty cool mall, but my one complaint (reason I deducted stars) is the unfornuate location in Calgary...Marlborough (as well as other places) is a notorious, dangerous area. Pacific mall has just been renovated. With the renovations, there are few new stores as well got a gym, dollar store, the staple t n t supermarket, food court mostly Filipino stores, kiosks with different specialty goods, authentic asian jewelry store, Korean owned liquor store with good variety, Chinese goods from Buddha statues to fortune plants, Chinese clothing stores, Chinese video store with other things, bubble tea, Chinese herbal stores, Filipino "padala balikbayan boxes" which means box to send home, there,s also the medical center, pharmacy....etc Most of the establishments accepts only cash, some stores charges you extra to use debit. The hours are shorter than other mall hours since it dies down after supper time. A lot of the stores are mom and pop it is good to support them. If you want to find Asian things from medicines to trinkets... Beats going to downtown since its free parking. read more

If you need any kind of oriental food/cooking item, you will be able to find it here. They have Hi-Chews to Portuguese egg tarts (my favorite!). Their bakery make amazing cakes, which comes in handy for birthdays and you want to change it up from the Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake. read more

This mall is dirty, in need of renovations, smells like rotting fish and lacks any English signage in most of the stores. The shop owners either do not care or pretend to not understand someone when speaking English. I realize that a lot of ethnic markets are considered ethnic enclaves but last time I checked a paying customer is a good customer. I was looking to purchase origami paper and chopsticks. Sadly no one knew what I was talking about for the most part. I also called ahead to ask if the stores offered these items and was told yes they did. After two trips one of the stores never was open during mall hours and the other did not sell what I was told they did. I thought the items I was looking for would be pretty easy to locate where I went. The only highlight was the bakery they offer the most delicious treats and breads. read more

We went to the jewelry store in this mall, because it has custom-made jewelry. But to tell the truth, the quality is not quite there. The owner is a typical chinese business man, so when he talks people might find him impolite, I just found him really blunt and direct. We had our wedding rings custom-made there, the end product didn't turn out quite the same as we thought. We had to basically argue with him for a bit and finally he said he would try to fix it. The rings are still not 100% but they are much better than before. I just don't recommend having rings custom-made now because it's really hard to visualize them before they are made, and there are bound to be misunderstandings no matter how well you explain to them how you want your rings to be made. read more

This is actually a pretty cool mall for one reason, it got taken over by the Chinese. It is now the home of T&T supermarket, some really cool food court options of real chinese food, a cool plant and flower store that has rare plants you can find nowhere else. I would give it more ratings if it was not so small, a trip there can barely while away an hour and I have to come to the NE to do it. Plus, the T&T in West Edmonton Mall blows this T&T out of the water in both layout and selection which is a shame. Edmonton has the two best chinese supermarkets in the province in Lucky 97 and T&T in West Ed, and Calgary has the biggest Asian population of the two cities. read more

This is one of my favorite places to buy groceries. Everything is usually laid out pretty well and organized. I go here to buy specific Asian products and they have most of them but they can be pretty pricey for some items. There are different Asian stores around the market too which offer interesting Asian merchandise as well. There is also a love of Filipino food when I go there. People are usually friendly when I buy Filipino food there since it's not that expensive and tastes pretty good,This in my opinion has the best service, price, and quality of Filipino food in the whole city. Noted, I been going here ever since I had moved to Calgary. So it also had a soft spot for me.(one extra note: too bad the theater here was shut down and it was cheap to watch movies here too. So many good memories...) My only complaint was that there was one employee in the Chinese take out area where I had waiting in line to be served and the lady told me that I cannot be served because it's closed even through I waited for 15-20 mins for the lady in front of me to finish ordering her 4 soups while her chit chating to the employee. That's the first time I've ever experienced that and I thought it was rude. The thing that can be improved is perhaps lack of space for the food court in terms of dining in tables. It usually can be full and you would have to look around or save a spot just to eat which can be a wait or a hassle. Another improvement is to expand the mall but I'm sure that's probably going to happen sometime soon based on the posters hung outside the mall. I'm so excited! Hopefully, you wouldn't have to go outside just to go to the dollar store anymore. Plus even through at times this mall is crowded, the extra expansion can really do some good for all. Horrible mall. People can't Park. Dominated by Canadian Tire and T&T supermarket. I avoid this mall if I can.
