Terrible cusomer service at Marlborough. Called regarding product being in stock, no pick up from specific department. Called customer service directly, and it took over 1 minute for them to pick up. Transferred to department waited more than 3 min, no one picked up. Called customer service again and again, more than a minute for them to pick up the phone. They were very loud talking to colleagues in the background (yes, I could hear their conversation). Finally was able to get product put on hold for me-- but did not ask for any of my details to keep it on hold. Let's hope its much better when I actually go in store. read more

If you are doing instacart and can not use self checkout they make you wait at the tills for ever and when you are not doing instacart and shopping for your self and go to self check out this one lady really gets made at you and says you can not use it at all. Some of the workers there are very rude they never have anything in stock. I would not recommend anyone go to this Walmart read more

I ordered a custom mug online and had it delivered to the Marlborough Walmart location for pick up. Yesterday I got the email that it was ready for pickup. I even had the FedEx receipt in my email. The associate in the photo lab quickly looked and said it wasn't there. I asked him to take the order number and he refused. He left to look in the back and returned 20 minutes later with no package. He then asked me for the order number and told me that he wanted me to come back. I said no, get your manager. He went to look in the back and 10 minutes later he came back with my package. That's the last time I'll ship anything to this location! read more

So it's official - there are no redeeming qualities about Marlborough Mall, or anything that is connected to it. Only two words come to mind: Gong Show - and it's not even remotely in the good way. From my review of the mall itself, you know darn well that I wouldn't voluntarily go to this Walmart. It's far too close to the mall that gives me goosebumps. BUT alas, it was the company I was keeping and they required a pit stop at a Walmart, and low and behold the ONLY one in the vicinity was the one attached to Marlborough Mall. Go figure. First of all, it was an absolute zoo. Kids screaming, people halting to a stop mid-aisle, and lines so long they wound in and out of the merchandise racks. Yes they had all the great walmart goods at ridiculously cheap prices, but that was completely tainted by the crowd and the atmosphere. I'm even positive I saw a couple people roaming around in their sweats & crocs...not to hate...but C'MON! I get that it was Saturday afternoon. I get that it had just starting snowing and the mass population inside the Walmart served as body heat. What I did not get however was how people lose their common sense, sense of direction and sense of shopping protocol the minute they pass through the doors of this particular Walmart. After dodging deserted carts, kids running loose and families conversing mid-aisle, we finally got to the line. After waiting 20 minutes to be served, our cashier not-so-subtly dumped all our goods carelessly in random bags and even completely squished the loaf of bread we had picked up. Finally, when we went to pay her, she just stared at the money with a blank look on her face. I actually said to her "Uh...that's the money we're paying for all this with..." And she was like "OHHHH!" Did she think it was her tip??? All in all, a very infuriating experience. I wont be back, and hopefully I've saved you the trip to hell. read more

I will NEVER visit this location again. We came here yesterday to pick up some camping supplies. trying to find some help in this location is pretty much impossible. When we came to check out we asked to have our payment spread out on two debit cards. Any store in the world is able to process this transaction. We did one debit transaction and the lady at the till gave us our receipt and said have a nice day! Now, we could have easily walked away with not paying for $77 worth of groceries. But we didn't. We advised the teller that we still owe her some money. To resolve the issue she suggested that I pay for something for the lady behind me. Get cash back and then give the teller the cash back and the lady behind me would pay me for the item I purchased for her. I declined and asked that the teller bring over a manager. SHE SAID NO! So i asked where the manager is and that I will get him/her myself. she pointed at the "customer service" department. As we walked towards the customer service department she yells at security to watch us..... Watch us?! how embarrassing! Like I said we could have walked away with the groceries but chose not too. When we got to "customer service" they did apologize but did next to nothing to remedy the situation. They suggested I take out cash and pay them with that. which costs me extra money. not much but still more non the less. I have now tried calling the store manager twice. When I call their store I get nothing but bad attitude from them. read more

Absolutely dreadful customer service experiences here recently - especially at the returns desk. I have been informed I cannot return a broken printer cartridge which was unusable out of the package and told I cannot exchange a brand new, unread children's book, (I bought the wrong one) with a receipt because Walmart has a copyright agreement with the authors. The reasons for denying exchanges has become more and more bizarre and are coming from the same manager. Also the store feels very unsafe due to the amount of people wandering the aisles with their masks off or below their noses. Also a complete lack of regard for social distancing in the line ups. I had someone literally stand on my heel this evening. I always shopped here pre-pandemic with very few issues. The last few visits have put me off ever shopping here again. read more

This Walmart was absolutely disgusting. If zero stars was choice I would have used it. We stopped here to get some snacks to continue our trip home. For the following reasons, I would never come here again. The floors hadn't been washed in weeks. The cloths were in the wrong section, on the floor, piled up and dirty. The grocery section had out dated products and extremely empty shelf. The backpack, suitcases and purse area, looked a bomb had gone off. The bathrooms were gross, I walked in and walked out. I also felt very unsafe walking in to the store and walking out, there were people begging for hand outs and a fist fight outside. I felt very sorry staff, they were trying but were horribly unstaffed. If you need to shop at Walmart choose another. read more

Missing price tags (big time) which makes it very hard to make a decision to buy or not to buy, not very welcoming floor staff, mostly crowded, many products are not shelved or out. I do understand how hard it could be working at the Walmart doing re-stocking, price tagging, being nice to customers. But other stores have managed to overcome these issues and still provide better service than this branch. I guess its a management thing read more

Staff was rude,argued with me,I ask to speak to the manager regarding a price code. Waited 10 minutes with my order suspended. 15 minutes prior for a price chk. I finally walked away and left all my purchases bagged in cart. Horrible customer service. it was a Christmas item which was never marked down,size S was but I had size M the supervisor said it wasn't on sale and there's nothing she can do,I told her this does not make any sense. She said YES it does not marked not on sale!! That doesn't make any sense. At this point I did not want the item,I wanted to speak to the manager about the customer service with no common sense and the Scanner Price Accuracy Voluntary Code which she said doesn't exist. ugh Unbelievable!! read more

This walmart has surprisingly good produce! Better than other walmarts I've been in so far. Best prices for kale, cauliflower, lemons and limes when comparing to superstore and Safeway. Room for improvement: They could have more tills open as it always seems busy at this location and longer lines than other locations. read more

I went there on Saturday morning at 7:45 to return some towels. There were 3 people behind the service desk, none of them noticed me standing in line all by myself. Two walked away and that left one girl who was intent on counting a stack of about 30 - $20 bills. It took her quite a long time to count them, and then she would write something on a piece of paper like she didn't know what 30 x $20 equalled. Then she would start over. One, one and a have, two, two and a half, three and a half, well you get the idea. She didn't appear to care that I was there. She did not greet me, acknowledge me or offer any explanation for her tardiness. Instead she just sort of had that passive-aggressive attitude as if to say "I know you are there but I am in charge here and I'm going to pretend I don't see you and you can wait as long as I feel is necessary to make my point". After about 5 minutes I sort of let into her and told her if this is a customer service desk, she should at least greet the customers, and offer some sort of explanation like I'll be right with you. After I scolded her she meandered over to a till and started doing some things on it in a slothly sort of way and finally asked me what I wanted. She interupted our transaction mid-way a couple of times to have brief chats with other staff members arriving for their shift. When asked she told me her name was Lenora but she wore no name tag. Lenora needs to recognise that customers are guests of Walmart and should be treated as such and not ignored. Having said that, the entire mall is sort of like a war zone to begin with so I can't say that I'm very surprised. It was just last week that they hauled some guy out of that mall trying to make mincemeat out of the people with a machete. Maybe Lenora had waited on him also. read more

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Do Not Shop at This Walmart!!! I'd give this a zero if possible! Absolutely THE worst Walmart I've ever been to. Store was overly crowded, and from what I hear it's like this all the time. There were items on the floor throughout the store. A lot of rude customers, and rude employees. Security all over the place. That should have been the first sign. People crowding the store entrance. Very poorly managed. Will never shop here again, and you shouldn't either. read more

This Walmart's location is convenient because of access to the CTrain, Memorial Drive, and 36th Street and it is connected to Marlborough Mall. But that's the only feature that distinguishes this store from other Walmart stores. I find that this Walmart is extremely crowded - even during non-peak periods and check-out always take about 5-10 minutes, if not more. read more

Can no longer shop at this poorly managed store due to loss prevention following me EVERY single time I shop there. I've even complained to management who have rolled their eyes at me and told me it's necessary. Stalking your customers and making them feel like they are not wanted shopping there is necessary? I visited to buy 2 items in the grocery dept. and went to the check out only to find about 30 people waiting in line and in the express line with only 2 cashiers on. I always thought express should men maybe a 10 minute wait wait not 25-30 minutes. The level of service in this store especially at the checkouts is without a doubt dismal. Having experienced this several times before, I found it necessary to vent about the situation. I tried to email customer service at walmart.ca, but the email link they give is invalid. I am considering never gracing the doors at this chainstore again. By the way the last incident happened at 3:00 pm in the afternoon. Not exactly a high trafic time is it. This is the second time in three months that I have gone to Wal*Mart Marlborough Mall and brought my own (Wal*Mart Shopping Bags) that I purchased more than three years ago. They are Christmas Shopping Bags that I have placed in the back of my car when I need extra bags...but I still get asked if I just purchased them when I get greeted at the door.or get to the till. (My name is written in them as well) Come-on who does that! Anyway, my biggest beef is that I have over $100 dollars worth of groceries and the person at the till doesn't even begin to start bagging, so I asked him why aren't you bagging my groceries? and he replied, well you brought your own bags, I thought you were going to bag them yourself! Really! When did Wal*Mart stop bagging?? Am I missing something? I got the same response approximately 3 months ago from a different person at the till. This one was a lady..I guess they don't discriminate! If Wal*Mart changed their bagging policy, I would like to know because I will find an alternate place to shop..Actually because of their rudeness, I may not be shopping there again!, I don't have to go there. If they can't teach their staff not to be so rude to the customers and to have better manners, I don't have to shop there! read more
