Nice amount of passengers with ample seats for those who needed to sit (some outfits jam them in). The usual assortment of vacationing families with kiddos. Comfy cabin seating if you wanted wand a head if you felt the need. Ocean had 3-6' swells which the captain navigated with expertise. Captain took us to Whale Harbor for some Bald Eagle spotting. Izzi cleaned and filleted the Coho salmon so we could have it for dinner; cleaned and boiled 48 crab for us so we could eat and freeze it to take home; and cleaned filleted and vacuum packed the Chinook salmon for us to freeze and take home. Curtis didn't bat an eye and rather than canceling the trip he approached it with can do attitude "Lets GO"! We had 3 adults and 3 "kids" 10, 14, and 14. Curtis was professional, courteous, and friendly. It was a great trip. We limited out and enjoyed the day regardless of the conditions. We met Mark and the other four fishermen joining us, at crack of dawn. Launched through the surf out to the ocean straight to the crab pots. Got our limit of crab and then on to fishing. We caught Ling Cod, Rock Fish and Cabezon. Mark and his wife Linda are all about the customers experience, we all meet back at Mark's house where we learn how to ready the crabs for steaming, while the crabs steam Mark and Markus fillet the fish and Linda vacuum sealed the fillets. Looks like maybe some people who live in the nearby apartments may have some "permanent" crab pots that they leave out day after day... Not that we would know by pulling one up to see if they had any ;) I would love to try this place out at the start of crab season as we were getting quite a few crabs just way small ones. My cousin said this is by the sewer outlet too, so don't eat the crab butter is my suggestion if you were to eat any from here, not that I am a fan of crab butter anyways. But otherwise nutrients am I right? Haha
