There were plenty of parking in the lot and you walking the market store, the crabbing docks and some campsites on the walk to the outdoor restaurant part (also lots of fun photo ops too!) The menu prices were reasonable and displayed right at the ordering/cooking station. You tell them what you want and then you take the metal plaque inside to pay. We got 1 Dungeness crab (cleaned), 1 lb of clams, and 1 dozen oysters all steamed to try. Please do note all the accompaniments were sold separately such as butter, garlic, cocktail sauce, and lemons. They also had a microwave station for you to melt the butter along with all the tools you'll need for your yummy tray of fresh seafood. Eating crab is a labor of love but it was totally worth it! The crab meat was juicy and sweet, while the clams and oysters were briny and salty. If you want raw oysters you have to shuck them yourself due to cross contamination prevention. But the steamed oysters were actually so good too! Service was quick and friendly with everyone working hard cleaning, steaming, and dishing out orders. It's nice to have the hand washing stations and bathroom close to rinse off the stickiness from our seafood feast. Definitely recommend coming here to get your fresh seafood on if you are in the Rockaway Beach area!

We hit 20 total fish, lost 3 that spit the hook for a total of 17 sturgeon in 3 hours. Andy took our group out 9/5 for a day of albacore fishing…read more Boat and gear was top notch and you could tell Andy takes pride in his outfit. Weather before our trip had been very tough with high winds and rough seas. We lucked out on weather but fish were scattered and not biting at first. Andy used his years of experience and we ended up with a pretty good haul of quality sized albacore. Our group was half experienced anglers and half newbies. Andy and Jim took their time and made sure everyone was comfortable and got the most out of the adventure. There are many things to see and do in and around Garibaldi. We stayed in Rockaway Beach (Andy's on the money recommendation!) and explored from Tillamook up to Brighton and there are still many places and things we want to go back and see. Nothing but the best equipment and the deck hand takes care of everything. You can just enjoy catching fish!

Great park with a little bit of everything…read more We saw the sign and decided to check it out. First impression: lovely, quiet grounds that appear well-maintained. The park has a lot to offer: a beautiful lake and surrounding trees, picnic shelter, play area, docks, trails, birds & other animal viewing, large flat parking areas (one near each end of the lake), and flush toilets. We took the short, loop trail that starts near the parking lot...part a rolling path within the trees and part within mowed grasses along the lake. There's also an interpretive trail we didn't get to check out that starts near the beautiful, historic log home. Beautiful and peaceful spot to spend an afternoon for sure.

Came here today with fishing friend who did some actual fishing. Nothing was caught (fish 1 -…read morehumans 0), but it was really OK, and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in my camping chair and watching the fish jump in the air and the world passing by. A few other people were down on the dock casting for fish, others sat on the various rock formations sort of zoning out, and it was a real pleasure to see the children and parents sharing something they really loved. If the youngsters aren't interested in the fishing, they can come down and feed the ducks - such fun. The water is so clear you can see down to rocks and plants on the bottom and also nearest the dock flashes of the goldfish as they glide along (these goldfish eventually grow into some very large carp). There are evidently some sturgeon as well along with the rainbow trout, and also lots of ducks and other water birds (a few still with babies). Oh yes, lots of dragonflies - flashes of black and fiery orange red - add to the charm. People who fish welcome you right into their society and talk readily about their fishing experiences and how the big one got away and even why. This is a terrific family experience and for those who want to come out alone. The best time is to come early, before 7, and especially after the lake has been re-stocked, if you want to catch some fish. But like I said, it's a wonderful experience whether fish are caught or not. Give it a try. And remember if you don't catch any fish, you can hike back up to the shopping center above and get some breakfast. Not a bad day at all, in fact a damn fine one if you ask me.
