Went fishing with Joe and Tom for my birthday trip to Oregon. We had an amazing time. Joe put us right on the fish and Tom was the best deckhand - helped us fish, a wealth of knowledge about the Oregon coast, filleted our catch, etc. Such a great family business. We caught all sorts of fish and crabs that day PLUS we saw a bald eagle swoop down and pick up a fish in the water. It was unbelievable. Trip I'll never forget. Hands down best fishing trip ever. Caught our max # of fish, only boat to get the Ling Cod that day and caught about 20 Dungenous crabs. Hands down an amazing day on the water. Highly highly recommend.

    A fine day fishing

This was an EPIC trip! If I could give ten stars I would. The entire trip was perfect. The captain and his deckhand worked together like a well lubed machine. They put us on the fish and we slayed 'em. Plus the crabs were a bonus. We saw whales, sea cucumbers and a hungry Bald Eagle.

Wow what a great time Joe and his son Tom went over and beyond a fishing experience their love for the sport is apperant the family business is second to none the knowledge of the area spot on. Your only choice for fishing in these parts thanks Joe made a great outing

We had such a great time taking our boys out with these guys! They are very accommodating and kind. We will be booking with them again!

Port of Garibaldi - Oregon crabs

This is the best port in Tillamook bay for crabbing and accessing the ocean…read more It offers 4 boat launch lanes, ample free parking for cars, $10 boat launch/trailer parking fee, free life preservers to borrow, and convenient nearby bait shops, restaurants, and restrooms. Also there's now a nearby food cart pod just off highway 101, so you'll have lunch/dinner covered if you don't have much luck fishing/crabbing.

Interesting reviews for this little town. Three stars because most places are closed on…read moreSunday?!?!? Maybe the hard working folks in this town need a day off? Or they are at church giving thanks? The pile of lumber the karen complained about is apparently long gone. I've been coming here a few times a year for the past 35 years or so and I can't say that I've ever seen her opinion of an eyesore. And creosote is not especially harmful unless you consume it in large quantities. So let's talk about the good in Garibaldi and there is plenty of that here. Not a lot of places to eat but there are a few. With the scamdemic dining options are more limited but I'm sure the shop owners are suffering a lot more than their hungry wannabe patrons. The OCSR runs daily excursion trains daily during summer hours up to Rockaway. They also do very limited availability runs up to Salmonberry if you are lucky enough to get on one of those. The track bed gets increasingly rough as the years go by and that line did go all the way to Banks (and perhaps to Hillsboro if I recall correctly) not that long ago. The marina is great. I don't happen to have a boat but I love going there and talking to the skippers of old wooden vessels and taking photographs. These sailors come from all over and are mostly very friendly and happy to chat with dumb tourists like myself. The only negative, and it's really not a serious negative due to safety reasons but there is often a cop with radar at either end of town. I don't know what the limit is for actually getting a ticket but a small amount of inattention could potentially spoil your whole day. Of course if you run someone over because you are speeding that would spoil their whole day so..... Garibaldi is one of my favorite little towns along 101 and I've run the length of it from the Olympic peninsula to California.
