Tucked in a quiet and quaint part of Pacifica is Pacific Java Cafe. I think it's named appropriately since its a few meters away from the Pacific Ocean and Rockaway Beach. It's right off of Highway One and right across Sea Bowl and Gorilla's BBQ. They serve good coffee at very reasonable prices. The staff is very nice and attentive, and it definitely has a small town feel to it. I love the vibe of the place as it instantly makes you feel relaxed and comfortable for some reason. Maybe it's the Feng Shui, perhaps? They have pastries and baked goods that are great company with your coffee. Whether you're on the go or decide to sip your coffee at a leisurely pace while enjoying the place (I prefer and highly recommend the latter), this spot will definitely win your heart. Go ahead and read a book. Sit outside and let it all soak in. This is a charming little place that can relieve some stress while enjoying a good brew of Java. NOTE: Cash only. And quit b*tchin if they don't have Wi-Fi. Take your laptop and go to Starbucks for all I care. People need to unplug and get connected again instead of being "connected" on line. read more

Such a cute and affordable coffee shop in the heart of Pacifica! Highly recommend this place for their fun coffee options and affordable lattes. The indoor decor is eclectic and fun. There are tables inside and outside and great Wi-Fi for working. Lots of seating. I got a small latte with oat milk for only $3.50! If you're in the Pacifica area definitely stop here! read more

This is a charming little coffee shop within walking distance of the black sand beach at Pacifica. It's warm and cozy inside and they have a variety of good coffees that you can enjoy in one of their ceramic mugs. They also have some games to pass the time on a foggy morning and my son had an amazing time with these. I'll have wonderful memories of that morning for a long time. read more

I ordered their special vanilla matcha latte with oat milk and asked for a dash of cinnamon on top, it really was excellent. Cute spall cafe but with lots of seating and a great atmosphere. The gentleman that served me was very nice and made shore I enjoyed my drink before I was off. Great location as well rite on Rockaway Beach and the trails. read more

Best place to go for the best foggy morning beach day vibes I always get a pastry of some type from here and it's always the best for the hike up the hill. Along with a hot tea or coffee and you got yourself the best hiking snack. Just remember to pack it out . read more

This place was great. Good iced coffee, a comfortable setting, and baby friendly, too! We came on a hot day, and enjoyed our iced coffees. I loved the fact that they used frozen coffee as the ice cubes in their iced coffee, so (unlike many other coffee shops that use regular ice) the coffee does not become watery as the ice melts. The coffees were very reasonably priced as well. The space is pleasant and inviting, with comfortable seating. I was able to comfortably nurse my baby in a cozy corner. The owner was very friendly and welcoming of our 8 week old baby. The one downside of this coffee shop is that all the shops in the complex share a public bathroom, and it is not well-maintained. The women's restroom did not have toilet paper or seat covers, and it was dirty and smelly. The restroom did not have a baby changing table either. The owner indicated she had no control over the restrooms and was apologetic. The owner encouraged us to change the baby in the coffee shop and was very understanding and baby-friendly, which we really appreciated. Overall, this is a lovely coffee shop, and we look forward to returning! read more

Adorable atmosphere! So cute! I highly recommend the Love Tea, and I'm told the French brewed coffee is delicious, too. Everything is take out/to go but there's adorable bench seating outside. So beautifully decorated. Good looking pastries and snacks. Of course, the location is ideal, just 2 blocks from the beach. I can't wait to go back! read more

I was going to just stop in here to grab coffee and then walk by the beach but it was literally so cute I ran back outside to grab my laptop so I could write in this gorgeously quaint setting! We came here while we were in Pacifica to run an errand. The chai was very good and my husband had a mocha that was delicious. The woman behind the counter said it was super chocolaty and that it was! Very cute place with great service and such a great ambiance. We will be back here next time we are in Pacifica. What a charming place with warm and great people working there! I could hear and smell the ocean from the cafe. The interior is comfortable and cosy, very inviting. The drinks were great and I got some coffee cakes and muffins that all are yummy. I live in Dublin so it's a drive but it's worth it. Afterwards, walk for a minute and have a great view of the ocean. Will be back there soon. read more

Great service, friendly people, and delicious coffee. I had the toasted latte and it was just how I like it. Sweet, but not "Starbucks sweet" - if you know what I mean. I'll be back! Spend your dollars here, it's more than worth it (excellent value!) and better for the community! read more

Not a great place for quality espresso. Over extracted shot, could taste the staleness of the machine (not cleaning between shots), over heated milk, poor foam quality, and the cappuccino size is 8oz so I blame myself for missing that red flag. Very nice barista though and if you're not an espresso snob I'm sure it's otherwise fine. read more

A beautiful beach day with a lovely blackberry tea latte made to perfection by the friendly helpful staff at Pacific Java! This place is EVERYTHING I want in my local coffee shop! Small business minded with customer satisfaction the top priority because they want a long time relationship with their clientele. I have watch this place transform under the new ownership and every time I come back it's better and better! you can really tell the owner and the staff care about keeping their offerings current , but also keeping the "homey" welcoming feel that is what makes Pacifica such a great town to live in and visit! read more

We made our orders and the people behind the counter were quick to strike up conversation. We were made to feel like we were a part of their community and not just tourists. All of the coffee fare is the same you can get most anywhere at a nominal price. They have some tasty pastries. I really enjoyed my Jalapeno ham and cheese croissant was really good. We ended up going every morning of our weeklong stay in Pacifica. They made us feel so welcome. We will for sure return when we stay there again.

The ambiance is very much take out, there is a small bench to sit on and two chairs next to a trash can. In my opinion this business is best enjoyed along with a walk!

It was windy outside, so we were thrilled to find that their pink bench was actually heated. We sank into it and almost fell asleep lol Banana latte ($8.75): Ok hear me out. I know it's almost $9. For me, it was worth it! I'm glad I got it hot at the barista's suggestion, and I was surprised it came with a lightly caramelized banana. On a toothpick. Like a cocktail. The banana wasn't overpowering and I could still taste the strong coffee, which is what I like! Also not too sweet. My friend ordered the hot hojicha latte ($8.75), and she said multiple times that it was really good. Another friend got a hot chocolate, and I believe it's the chocolate they use for their mochas. 5 stars all around and we definitely could have sat for longer. We'll be back!

In any case, Craftsman Coffee in Pacifica is a coffee shop selling their own top quality coffees. Made from their own roasted beans. Craftsman coffee is one of those cafes that I will go to and order a cappuccino to drink exactly as is. No extras needed. It's a perfect cup every time! In addition to serving top quality coffee, Craftsman coffee has a space that is cute and welcoming. Want to play your own vinyl? Bring a record because they have a marantz stereo system with a turntable ready to play. Want to enjoy a little video game while you're here. They have a classic Pac-Man machine. Feeling a little chill and need a place to warm up that is both comfortable and out of the way. Craftsman coffee has heated seating inside to warmer bones. While you're enjoying your coffee. This can be an important point around Pacifica which is known for its 50 to 60° weather nearly year-round due to the proximity to the ocean, and the focused marine moisture quite often bringing fog and overcast skies. In addition to coffee, Craftsman coffee also offers pastries made by other local businesses. Including Rosalind Bakery in Pacifica. Dog parking is by the front entrance. With hooks for To secure your dog's leash by the door. However, they don't provide any bowls for water. So make sure you bring your own, or ask for an extra cup to put water for your pet into. They also don't offer any puppuccinos. No public restrooms here. But there are other restrooms available close by. Located only two blocks from the ocean, Craftsman coffee can be a great start to your local coastal outing in Pacifica, and beyond. If you need other amenities to go along with your coffee, Craftsman coffee also offers free Wi-Fi, power outlets to charge up your mobile devices, and free coffee grounds compost for your garden. Craftsman coffee is one of my go-to places along the coast for a coffee. And has been for many years now. I know you'll enjoy your stop too!

The cashiers were patient, friendly, and gave us recommendations. Seating is limited with a few small tables, but it has a cozy atmosphere. Plenty of nearby parking, which is always a plus. We went for the convenience but we always try to support the small businesses. As we walked in, we were greeted by someone who was obviously a local regular. We made our orders and the people behind the counter were quick to strike up conversation. We were made to feel like we were a part of their community and not just tourists. All of the coffee fare is the same you can get most anywhere at a nominal price. They have some tasty pastries. I really enjoyed my Jalapeno ham and cheese croissant was really good. We ended up going every morning of our weeklong stay in Pacifica. They made us feel so welcome. We will for sure return when we stay there again.

The chipotle chicken BLT came with a side salad tossed in a fresh citrusy dressing that perfectly complemented the sandwich. This is a place where you order at the counter and they bring that food to your table. The lady taking the order (sorry for missing her name) was super helpful with recommendations and made the ordering experience stellar. The coffee was also great. They also have a fridge section with a variety of specialty drinks. A solid place to stop by if you're in the Pacifica area.

I actually thought that the food were good sized portions and prepared well. The empanadas were nice and flavorful, the avocado toast was as advertised and looked even better in person. The matcha latte was pretty tasty, as was the smoothie. The croissant could've used a little more chocolate to croissant ratio, but still pretty tasty. It was all so fresh and tasty and if you ask me, made with love. When we showed up the timing was ideal since we were able to snag a table and a parking spot with no issues. Service was amazing and everyone was so nice and easy to work with. Would definitely return to this spot if I'm ever back in the area.

Cons: Cant taste the coffee at all, asked for extra foam only to get it no foam and extra hot. I could tell just by the sound she wasn't airating it enough. I wasn't asked what size I want and was given a medium. Ordered a bagel and it's totally stale and not chewy at all. When I spend $12 for a coffee and bagel I expect hipster gentrification coffee skills and this is giving gas station coffee at best.
