Back in the spring of 2019, I was in the market for a surgeon to perform my (long-awaited) rhinoplasty procedure. I found a surgeon in San Jose that I really clicked with and planned to go to. But when finances came up, I realized I would need help in order to afford the procedure. Thankfully my godfather came to the rescue and helped me out. Though when he came into the picture, he said that his dermatologist had recommended a surgeon who was in the same building as him - Dr. Kaplan. When the consultation came around, right off the bat I could tell that Dr. Kaplan was a great surgeon and a great guy, who had a very palpable passion for his craft. He was really nice and listened to what I said with enthusiasm. Though as the consult went on, I could tell that he was more concerned with the dorsal hump (my bump) and adding a supra-tip break rather than my main concern, which was the bulbous tip of my nose along with the fact that it veered to the right (see below). My bump was actually the least of my concerns. While I did want to minimize the size of it, I actually wanted to keep a slight bump. But I mainly wanted to focus on refining and minimizing the size of the tip of my nose and correcting the asymmetry in the tip and nostrils as much as I could.  Yet because I'm passive and never want to hurt anyone's feelings (since he was my godfather's recommendation), I ignored my own and decided to have Dr. Kaplan perform my surgery. When the post-op reveal finally came, you know all those videos of people getting their casts taken off and they start getting emotional because they're ecstatic about their results? That wasn't me. But for the next year or two, I tried not to focus too much on the look of my nose, thinking that time would make me love it as much as I always dreamed that I would. Telling myself that I was being overly critical of it because it was still so new. But this past year, I stopped gaslighting myself and admitted that I'm just not as happy with my nose as I should be. I've included labeled images of what my nose looked like before, during the healing, the crooked cast and then random pictures of my nose from a month post op until just last week. You'll also see that there are a few pictures that have red lines drawn on. I did that so you can clearly see that the bridge of my nose is uneven and creates this weird shape at the base of my nose where the bridge meets my nostrils. I've done the same with some pictures of the tip of my nose, where you can see it just has an odd shape. He also shaved the bump down a little more than I wanted. But that I can get over. And lastly, I still have an issue with my nostrils because as you can see below, one nostril kind of just goes straight across and the other curves up. And while I understand you can only do so much before damaging nerves or other anatomy in your nose, I feel like more could've been done seeing as they looked exactly the same pre-op. I'm sure many of you will look at the images below and think I'm being overdramatic and that my nose looks great, and I appreciate that. Though that could also be because I know my angles. But the point is that I paid nearly $10k to change my biggest insecurity into a feature that I would love instead. I hated my face because of my nose since I was 11 years old, so it was a dream of mine for over 10 years to get Rhinoplasty one day. So after paying that much money and dealing with years of self-hatred; yes, I expected to be absolutely ecstatic after having my nose done. Not just 'kinda happy' about it. Despite what you may think, I'm not writing this review to trash Dr. Kaplan or his practice. He really is a great guy and his staff is also amazing, and don't get me wrong, I do think he's a great surgeon. But maybe it's that my results were just a one off because I was a weird case or I'm just too particular for my own good. Or on the other hand, maybe Rhinoplasty just isn't his strongest suit. To make things a bit more transparent, if I were to rate my nose from 1 to 10 on a happiness scale (10 being my nose is absolutely perfect), I would say I'm a solid 5.5 maybe a 6. All the while I was hoping to be at least an 8. Don't get me wrong, my nose looks pretty snatched from either profile (which is why I mostly take pictures from my left) but that's the extent of my happiness with it. It's pretty rough when you don't like your nose from the front view. In the end, I'm not nearly as happy with my results as I always dreamed I would be. P.S. I feel bad that I'm giving 3 stars but honestly it's the most accurate rating given my situation. If I was just rating Dr. Kaplan and his staff, I would for sure give 5 stars. But between feeling like my concerns weren't completely heard and my results, I feel like 3 unfortunately sums up my experience.

I finally went through with my extended tummy tuck and BBL w/ doctor Kaplan & I am so happy I did. I was originally going to go elsewhere but decided I wanted to stay local in the Bay Area and not have to travel after such a big surgery. Dr.Kaplan did an amazing job 2 years ago when I went to him for a breast lift with breast implants. I am so happy that he snatched my tummy and waist and filled in my hip dips - the results are phenomenal, I'm almost 2 weeks post op and he has such a soft touch that I had a very smooth recovery, I watched a lot of YouTube videos on this procedure and recovery that I was very scared about the post op aspect. Recovery is definitely a journey and you practice patience with your body, and yes I did go through emotions about why did I do this but let me tell you each day that goes by is another day you made it and your body is starting to heal it only gets better :) Very please that my drains are on a lanyard I love that ideas it makes it so much easier for me. Although I cannot wait to take my drains out I'm perfectly okay that he takes them out 2 weeks post op but may do it earlier if your draining less then a certain amount. Dr. Kaplan called me the same night after my surgery to check on me and answered any questions I had and that was a big plus for me because you want to make sure you have a doctor who not only is there to answer any questions after hours but doesn't just leave you to not know what to do in case of an emergency or concern. I am very happy with his office staff they are all so sweet from the consult to the big day and all the help in between and it was very straightforward in terms of the labs I needed and cOvid test. After surgery I was a little goodie bag of post op papers scar cream and my meds which is amazing I didn't have to go to a pharmacy before or after surgery they had them ready for me and 2 garments! The anesthesiologist was amazing and so sweet he called the night before which was a big relief the next day was very sweet and made my "cocktail" and I was off to sleep waking up with a small waist and I did not wake up sick or anything. If I do any more procedures I will definitely be back to see Dr.Kaplan! Literally helped me accomplish my body goal and is the sweetest caring doctor ever! So happy he shows his surgeries on social media because that can help a lot of people considering these surgery's and what he does :) If your considering a surgery look no more and please book a consult with RealDrbae

Bye Bye mom Bod, Helllo new Booty! Thank you to Dr.Kaplin!! & Thank you to the lovely sweet ladies behind the scenes! I've had a couple cosmetic surgeries in the past. I had a good experience don't get me wrong. But this experience with Dr. Kaplan and his amazing team was hands-down a Great experience!!! I had ups & downs.. First- All appointments including consultation were easy peasy and most important I felt so comfortable! It was awesome, I took advantage of their promotion. I paid at consultation and got $1000 off!! So, heres "The Tea" I had one scary thing happen. (But thanks to Dr. Kaplan it wasn't as scary) I had to go to the hospital for possible blood clot. Ended up at the worst hospital ever.. They didn't complete the scan they needed to. But thanks to Dr. Kaplan ‍ he called the doctor directly that treated me and had her tec redo it immediately. I went back into the hospital room and got a complete and thorough scan. Thank God no blood clot & everything was fine. Mind you this is all on a Sunday LATE afternoon WELLLL IN TO night! Dr. Kaplan was by his phone EVERY second of the day. He gives you his personal number! So not only did I score an amazing new body but i scored an Amazing kind hearted/ Reliable Dr.!! Im now 8weeks post op & loving my results! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED &CANT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT DR.BAE & TEAM!! Check out my results!!

dr kaplan really gave me that perfect hourglass shape!

I have been interested in getting a brazilian butt lift for a while and began doing in-depth research and consultations - I spoke to doctors both local and out of town. Bottom line, I am in my thirties now and there are just some things hours in the gym won't achieve. Dr. Kaplan was my 6th consultation and I felt immediately comfortable with my choice. He gave me the possible (but VERY rare) complications that could happen and none of the previous 5 doctors I spoke with even mentioned anything like that. He was clear on what to expect and gave me my quote in minutes. I LOVE my results - my waist is SNATCHED and my booty is fat! My post op appointment was smooth and I was floored by the before and afters. He was patient with all my questions, welcoming, and professional. I highly recommend him to any one looking for work done. Thank you, Dr. Kaplan!

I had a bbl with Dr. Kaplan in November, I am now 5 months out. So happy with my results. Dr. Kaplan and his staff are very professional. When you get a bbl you can loose up to 50%. I maintained 90% and it's because I went to Dr. Kaplan. I highly recommend him.

Which lymphatic massage therapists do you refer your patients to for bbl post-op massages?

What financing does this office offer?

We offer 3rd party financing through CareCredit, Alphaeon Credit and Prosper Healthcare Lending. We can help patients apply over the phone if they call us at 415-923-3005

Do you do Sculptra injection for Butt lifts?

No we don't. It's extraordinarily expensive for the patient. Believe it or not, fat injections have a better, more natural, longer lasting result and are less expensive than Scuptra.

He was realistic and upfront about what limitations existed due to my facial anatomy, and what would be safe and flattering in the long term. I appreciate how personalized my consult felt, and that my surgical plan fit me rather than whatever nose is "trendy". Despite the significant changes made to my nose during my rhinoplasty, I didn't even bruise! I'm healing well, and I couldn't have asked for better results! I cannot stress enough how wonderful Dr. Ransom's team is. As someone who is usually a bit nervous with medical procedures, I really appreciate how empathetic and attentive his team is. Holly and Emily were very responsive and helpful with scheduling, notes, etc. Yesenia was amazing at answering all of my questions about my prescriptions and aftercare. Patricia is so kind, and I feel very grateful she was there for me pre/post-op. I would enthusiastically recommend Ransom M.D. to other rhinoplasty seekers!

Although I had my procedure done early 2025, I had to write this review because my experience at…read moreDr. Ransom's office has been haunting me. I needed a blepharoplasty for my heavy eyelids and found Dr. Ransom on Yelp listed as an excellent, kind, friendly doctor. The consultation was great, Dr. Ransom listened to exactly what I wanted, assured me that not too much would be removed and was very kind. I felt like I was going to be in good hands. A woman at the office took me into another room, showed me some before and after pictures, (though I'm not sure she made note of which ones I liked), and I asked how long is the recovery time, she said "Oh just a week, you can have your procedure Monday and stitches removed Friday." Great, I took a week off. Monday, the day of procedure, before the procedure, we were in a room and Dr. Ransom was getting things together in a rush. I was surprised he didn't confirm what we talked about or go over what he about to do. So I said, "just a little off eyelids and subtle right?" He just said "right" as he was assembling things. I asked "can you please go over the procedure?" and he did. At the beginning of the procedure, his Assistant placed a slightly adhesive pad on the side of my belly, (to monitor my vitals during the procedure). He injected anesthetic around my right eye, then my left eye, (though I noted that he didn't inject/spend as much time injecting my left eye). The procedure was going well, I felt no pain as he starting on my right eye, (though it was unsettling that Dr. Ransom and his Assistant were having casual conversation while working on my eyes-I know he must have done this procedure hundreds of times before, but still - this is my face). Towards the end, Dr. Ransom spent a good amount of time with the stitches on my right eye, but when he started on my left eye, I really felt pain, said it really hurts and "Ow." I realized he must have run out of anesthetic in his syringe when he got to my left eye and just didn't bother to get another syringe. Instead of stopping to give me more anesthetic, he just kept saying, "we're almost done, we're almost done." After reeling from that, his Assistant proceeded to slowly tear off the adhesive pad on my belly, (which is slightly hairy), and I yelped "Ouch!" I was too caught off guard to tell him to just rip the pad off like a bandaid and the Assistant kept saying "sorry, sorry" as he continued to slowly tear off the pad. After I continued to say "ouch, ouch!", Dr. Ransom said, "Oh your little hairs." So in addition to being in pain, I'm now belittled. Feeling terrible from this, I got dressed, shuffled to the Receptionist and scheduled stitches to removed that Friday. Close to Friday, the Receptionist called me to say my appointment was moved to Monday. I said but I took this week off and have to go back to work Monday. She said the doctor said I would get better results if I waited a couple more days to have the stitches removed. It seemed like a lie because why did they have schedule the appt for Friday originally? Silence from her, implying there is nothing I can do about it. Following the appointment, to minimize scars, I was to have 3 small laser zaps at the ends of each eye, administered by the Assistant. I have deep horizontal creases at the ends of my eyes, (had them for a long time), and I asked the Assistant if there was a procedure to address those. He said maybe some filler can help with the "canyons." I had to laugh at the exaggeration and cruelty of the term. I looked at him when he said it and I honestly believe he wasn't trying to be mean, that really was the word that came to his mind. Although ultimately results of the blepharoplasty were perfect, due to the experiences above, I just can not bring myself to go back to that office. I do believe Dr. Ransom is kind, it just may be another situation of having too many clients lined up back-to-back.

To my surprise, after his assistant took pictures from all angles and he examined my nose, he said he could help me and that I was a good candidate! Two months ago, I underwent revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Kim, and I'm extremely happy with the results. He guided me every step of the way regarding what to expect from the surgery. Firstly, he informed me that my nose would be swollen and appear "big" for several months and that it might take up to 1-2 years to settle into its expected shape. He also mentioned that some asymmetry would remain, but that it would be significantly improved. Even while still swollen, I can see a huge improvement, and I've already received compliments from three friends about my new nose. I can breathe better now and have less sinus discharge. Most importantly, I no longer feel self-conscious about my nose. Each day, it seems to be getting a bit smaller, which is exciting. The renditions he provided of what my new nose would look like closely match how my nose appeared right after surgery before the swelling began. I would recommend Dr. Kim to anyone unhappy with their nose. I only wish I had found him sooner.

I originally started seeing her for a broken capillary, and after such a great experience, I decided to trust her with injections as well. I'm so glad I did. She is knowledgeable, gentle, attentive, and truly takes the time to listen and make sure everything feels right. I've been nothing but a very happy patient, and I genuinely love coming in to see her. I always leave feeling confident and well cared for. Highly recommend Nurse Alyssa to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust.

For context, I received 3cc facial Renuva injections in Beverly Hills two years ago but that…read moresurgeon didn't numb my face and those injections were more painful than actual surgery. Fast forward to this year, I read that Dr. Rajagopal was the number one Renuva provider in the country and her website stated that numbing cream was used. I was terrified of more pain but hopeful that this experience would be less painful. At this office, numbing cream was literally applied to my face for 30 minutes and then ice was applied afterwards. Although the injections were still painful, they were much more tolerable. Dr. Rajagopal has a gentle hand, a kind demeanor, and good aesthetic sense. I've seen four other different plastic surgeons but Dr. Rajagopal has given me the most faith in doctors. I wish that I had known about her earlier. I would definitely come here for Renuva injections or other treatments as needed. They are not inexpensive at 2500 for 3 cc. Dr. Rajagopal clearly cares about people and their comfort. This is very important as any surgery or injection is a stressful experience so bedside manners and genuine concern is priceless. The only odd thing was that I was presented the bill during numbing by a staff member. Payment is expected after treatment and I knew the cost beforehand so it was strange to get the bill during the middle of the procedure and then after the procedure again. I would have been happy to pay in advance if they are worried about people leaving without paying. In any case, the office staff was nice. There was easy and free private parking provided. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Rajagopal for her keen aesthetic eye and caring demeanor.

After extended breastfeeding of my two children, my breasts were shot and I had lost a lot of volume in them. I wanted to get them done for years now, and I finally took the plunge! Dr Bermudez was so patient with all the questions and fears I had. He made me feel very confident that the surgery would go smoothly, and it sure did! Dr Ken was so thorough, going over each type of breast implant and helping me come to the best choice for me. Thanks to Dr Ken's guidance and expertise, I know I chose the perfect implant best suited to my body. Dr Bermudez has a very sweet, endearing, playful, and professional bedside manner. He knows how to put any fears/anxieties to rest, with his steadfast and supportive approach. Dr Bermudez is also a reconstructive surgeon, and I knew with that knowledge he would make my breasts beautiful and perfect, and he did just that! Dr Bermudez is also wonderful at aftercare. I had my gallbladder removed last year and I only had one post-op checkup, with Dr Bermudez, I have had multiple post-op checkups, he and his staff are super attentive and always checking in with me. I love love Dr Bermudez and his staff, I love his office and want to be there even if I don't have an appointment. I always feel so welcomed and at home. They also have great skincare products that they sell in office. I highly recommend Dr Bermudez for all your cosmetic needs. Just to reiterate, I love and adore my breast implants! Dr Bermudez did a superb job making my implants look gorgeous and natural. Five out of five stars! He is the G.O.A.T!

The eye redness he noted was from something I did (false, I followed his post-op regimen) and he had no remedy for it . I sought outside opinions and most noted it was a bit excessive and to wait and if the eye redness didn't fade to then try to laser it with a laser specifically for red or get an injection 5fu to help the deep red scarring. The chest after a year still doesn't match and was told if I'm lucky the pigment may come back . He also took an additional Hour of OR time which cost me another $1000 at Hayes valley surgery center in SF. I've been told by several laser experts it should have taken less Then 1 hour if equipment and skill were correct. So as a retired OR nurse I've never spoke poorly of a surgeon but as they say there's a first for everything ! I'm hoping this saves others from the anguish and cost of a poorly done procedure ! Do your homework - I should have done more !
