    2021 F22 Alpha for Sale
    C J.

(Review in Progress) My Background: Looking to upgrade my families boat to a new MB Surf Boat (Also looking at ATX, Malibu, Tige, Axis, Moomba). California Skier is the 4th dealership I have dealt with over the past two months, in my pursuit to find the best Surf Boat under 100k range. Location: California Skier is 2 minutes from Lake Elsinore. They have a huge lot which looks like it stores boats and does service. They have a huge pro shop with one of the BEST selection of Surf Boards, Wakeboards, Life Jackets, that I have seen from all dealerships I have visited. They have 2020 Wakesurf Board that are sold out everywhere in stock, very impressed at what a hidden gem they are. They sell Mastercraft, MB and some other boats as well. Customer Service Experience: I have been dealing with "Mike Cardoni" at California Skier. On my first phone call, he literally will talk your ear off because you get the feeling he loves what he does, selling you a boat. I was interested in the MB Boats, so he went heavily into the rich history of the MB boat lines (Mike Brendel, the owner of MB). When I first visited their shop, Mike spent a good two hours with me allowing me to clime all over their boats while he answered any questions I had, never once making me feel rushed. We set up a time for me to return with my wife to do a Demo of the F22 Alpha I was interested in. Out of all 4 dealerships, this was the only one that right off the bat offered me a demo, the other 3 dealers were hesitant even talking about nor offering a demo. Demo Experience: We returned on Mike's DAY OFF, and he was willing to spend as much time as we wanted while the business was closed, on his day off to demo the boat. We spent a good hour on the boat, learned the basics of the MB Boat line. Issue #1 . . . the front ballast bag had a tear, pouring water into the engine bay, adding way too much weight to the rear of the boat, could not demo the boat to its potential to see its surf waves, but I did see that MB boats have a GREAT WAKEBOARD WAKE! It is not Mike's fault, accidents happen. He immediately felt bad, I could see it in his face, and he immediately offered me to come back out and try the demo again, and offered to bring two boats so I can properly compare and contrast two different models (F22 vs B52). That is what I call customer service!!! Conclusion: This is a preliminary review, which I will continue once I have completed my boat shopping experience, but Mike Cardoni and California Skier's dedication to do what was needed to make a sale, makes them # 1 on my list of Boat Sellers in Southern California.

What a great place to buy a boat! We have owned a couple boats as a family and have never had a great relationship with the seller after we bought the boat. It is so nice to be able to contact them for any boat troubles or anything we need out on the water! They are very respectful and responsive. Highly recommend to buy here - your not just getting an amazing boat, your apart of the California Skier family as well!!

I have to put a review that shows how this place doesn't think. The wench is out on wrong. Now the handle is in the way of the step. How can this place do this? They didn't carpet the whole trailer, but charged me for the whole trailer and they put the wench on wrong so you trip on it going up and down the stairs.

At the end of last summer (2020) we started our search for a wakeboard boat. We were planning on buying used and around Christmas we were having a hard time finding anything that was not outrageously priced. Knowing we couldn't afford a new $130k boat I was hesitant to go to a dealer. On a whim we went down to California Skier to check out the MB boats. They had one of each model and our family absolutely fell in love with the B52 Alpha. Mike Cardoni was super helpful answering all the questions we had and gave us a great price on the floor model that we loved, we couldn't pass it up and I'm so glad we didn't. We took ownership of the boat after just a week and had the best summer our family has had in a long time. From the boat sale, to the help with wakesurf boards, new wakeboards, ropes, and everything else the team at California Skier has gone above and beyond to make us feel like part of the family. I had a warranty issue with both my boat and a Ronix surfboard and California Skier had both of them fixed and handled before a schedule trip we had. Highly recommend this dealer and pro-shop!

Long over due review, everyone is great at cal skier from sales, to service and pro shop! Thank you to Mike, everything was slam dunk when purchasing the boat, scheduled a demo and made sure it was the boat we wanted. Thank you to Ben for getting us all set up with surfboards and ropes from the pro shop, very knowledgeable and made sure we had the right equipment for our needs. Last, thank you to Jim in service, took good care of my boat and kept me updated throughout the services!

Picking up my custom ordered MB B-52 23. Thanks Ben!

I've been helping my friend move her belongings from her relatives house to her storage unit here,…read moreconsecutively for the past few weekends. I haven't stepped into a storage facility in 16 years and this location is so upgraded from I used to pay for in National City. When we made our first trip, my friend said- I forgot what the gate code is & my exact unit number. LOL. While she went into the office and retrieved her info, I waited in my truck. Once she got the info- we drove past the security gates- towards Building G (same building attached to the office). Her unit is located within the 3 story building. On the street level, there's an opening into the building, where you'll find the elevators/ lifts. And the flatbed push carts- which definitely come in handy to move items in a safe, timely manner. Even at this entrance, you'll feel the air conditioner- which makes a difference in the Riverside heat. Ughhh! There are a few parking stalls adjacent to the building entrances. *BTW- if you don't see any of the flatbed carts in Building G- walk over to Building H and look inside that entrance by the elevators. One time we found 7 of the carts. There are 2 elevators for each of these 3 story buildings, which definitely helps customers out. They are decent length, where we could fit 2 carts, side by side. And 3 of us, comfortably. Her unit is the biggest available- and inside her unit and along the hallways- are well lit. She mentioned she got her unit when this facility first opened (about 2 years ago) and they had great MOVE IN offers! They also offer RV storage, which is in the adjacent lot from the buildings. The facility is clean and they have great hours.

I bought my boat from Inland Boat Center in March 2024 through Taylor and Mr. Hellman. At the time…read moreof sale, the experience was excellent--very responsive, very friendly, and full of assurances that made me feel confident doing business there. I purchased a 2021 Manitou Aurora for $32,000, which I still own and have only put about 30 hours on. A major part of that conversation was a trailer they agreed to sell me for $2,800 out the door. I was told it only needed brakes and that I would get a call when it was ready. I followed up several times and kept hearing delays, including that the wrong brakes had been installed and they needed more time. Eventually the communication stopped completely. Since then, no one has followed through, no one has updated me, and now the original agreement is treated as if it never happened. Instead, the only option presented is a new trailer for around $7,000. I also recently asked what they would offer if they bought the boat back. After paying $32,000 and barely using it, I was offered $16,000. Even getting that answer took repeated effort because emails and calls were ignored until I physically walked into the showroom. Service has been equally disappointing. When I bought the boat, I was specifically told that because I am a Canyon Lake customer they would arrange pickup and delivery for service. When I called recently, I was told there is now a $200 transportation charge and that I would need to take it up with Taylor. I texted Taylor directly again and still received no response. I was also quoted around $1,000 for a basic oil change and impeller replacement, while other boat service centers quoted substantially less for the same work. I have been in sales for over 20 years, and one thing I understand clearly is that customer service after the sale matters more than the sale itself. What stands out most here is how dramatically the customer experience changed once the transaction was complete. Before the purchase, communication was immediate. After the purchase, promises became difficult to verify, follow-up became almost nonexistent, and basic customer service became a struggle. For anyone considering buying here: document everything, get every commitment in writing, and do not rely on verbal promises alone. Based on how this has been handled, I would not purchase from Inland Boat Center again, and I would not recommend that friends, family, or anyone I know buy or service a boat there.
