Excellence all around. For a few years my boat engine was bogging down when I accelerated. Made a hissing sound and rattle noises while in idle. These guys went right to work. We were emailing back and forth on what it could be and it turned out it just needed to be a tune up and new gear oil. One time I had my duoprop serviced at another facility and they put it together wrong when reinstalled Matt and the crew immediately saw the issue and fixed the problem. I just dropped in and they fixed it right away. My next issue was a broken brake caliper on my trailer, again Matt and the crew handled the problem and had me going the next day. I was looking for a local place to bring my boat for some minor repairs. Found BMS on the web, ratings were good, so I gave them a shot. Now, I will not bring my boat anywhere else. The staff was friendly, professional and very honest about my repairs. They made suggestions to my repairs to save me money and were very communicative on the progress of my boat. They saved all the parts they replaced to show me. There rates were very good and I got great service/repairs at an affordable price. The best part, which will make me a customer for life: my license plate had broken off my trailer and I had just put it inside my boat until I had a chance to fix. After I picked my boat up and got it home, I noticed the license plate had been attached/fixed without me even asking. They didn't even tell me they did it. And.... They didn't charge me for it. I took my boat in for service and have a trim piston rebuilt. The service was great. I met Matt who gave me the initial quote and a walk thru of the things that were being done. The prices are very fair, I looked around other shops, and Matt was very honest, friendly and professional. The rebuild of the trim piston didn't work out due to internal components condition. Matt went above and beyond to find a new assembly, I looked around myself also, and he found a very cost effective yet factory built replacement. He did not charge for the install. Well took my 98 lavey craft jet boat to them for repair on cable. Forward and reverse ..... They gave me some options about throttle placement as well, but left that up to me if I wanted to spend the $$. They were knowledgeable about what was wrong with boat and how to fix it. Job was done in a few hours... They also had a clean shop and lot area. They supported the disabled who worked around the shop and they were very friendly too. Boat was housed inside at all times. BEWARE!!! Boaters BEWARE!!! I wouldn't even give them 1 star but yelp makes you put at least one star!! I brought my Bayliner here to get worked on. I spent $1200 on repairs. I told them I was going to River and needed boat for my 3yr Anniversary. I came to pick it up and they said everything was fine for my trip. I towed boat directly from their shop to the river. Within 20 minutes my boat started sounding weird. So I turned it off and tried to turn on again which it failed to do so. I opened engine cover and checked if boat had oil and it was bone dry!!! Do not bring your boat here!! After 1 week of having my boat and $1200 in costs you would think they would do their basic job duties. Like make sure there is oil in engine. When I went back to explain what happened they said it had nothing to do with them. Their response from one of the owners was "We have a Great Lawyer"!!! I guess that proves that they do bad work and are sued all the time!! They were arrogant. Instead of apologizing and trying to help me. They didn't even try to fix boat. They said would charge me more labor to look at it!! Also a red flag should have came up when the owner told me they recently changed their name. Usually companies change names for bad reasons like lawsuits or bk. Well, I'm currently getting a lawyer to see if they can help me!! Mean while my boats broke down and I'm out of $1200 along with a ruined 3yr. Anniversary!!! : ( read more

I have a 1996 Bayliner. I do a lot of my own maintenance on my 3.0 "four-banger" but, the engine wouldn't stay idling! I figured it was a "carb" rebuild since the gas filter had been clogged (untreated gas sitting in the gas tank!!) I called BMS the 1st week of June. I already had reservations for the lake at the end of the month...Good LUCK finding a place where they could get to my boat in less than 2-3 weeks! Ugh!! So, I called BMS, and Scott said he could get to it in about a week. I took my boat in on a Monday and got it back on Friday of the same week!! Excellent work! She purred like a kitten and performed flawlessly out on Lake Mojave. Great value too! less than $250.00 bucks!! No Hard sales pitch, No "You need this done to it..." they did what I asked them to do. Period! I don't do carburetors! too many small parts! I will definitely bring my boat back for these guys to work on! My Boat was kept inside. The shop was very clean, and they have adults with disabilities working at the shop which makes me very happy since I am an educator who works with kids with disabilities. A++ with a gold star!
