Based on YELP reviews I made an appointment with Dave's Marine following an overheating problem…read morethat occurred on Fathers Day-June 15. The earliest appointment date was August 12, 2025. I brought the boat in on August 12, 2025 and Dave & I went over my concerns. An estimate was prepared around August 19, 2025 and I picked up the boat on August 29th. Dave took the time to really keep me updated with texts and photos throughout the repair process which was very helpful. I had additional work performed not related to the overheating issue(guages/gas tank access portal, and oil change and Dave did his general boat wellness check as well. Being retired I wanted to take the boat out that very weekend but since all my friends worked I was unable to do so. During that time I took the time to really clean up the boat and polish the gelcoat (Skwol Oxidation Polish & Wax) ) and refinish & clear coast the outdrive and really make the boat shine. I finally got to use the boat on Tuesday, September 9, 2025other retired riend was able to go with me. We went to Lake Perris and the boat performed perfectly. I can't even explain the happiness that I experienced knowing that everything worked. My friend and I spent probably 3+ hours on the lake which was close to being void of any boaters. I wanted to immediately write a review but I got lazy. Dave's Marine is now my go-to repair facility. They are completely competent and charged a reasonable amount for the work that was done. I'm glad I was patient enough to wait. There is a reason why there is a wait time as Dave proved that he was completely skilled enough to repair the boat the proper way keeping me informed all the way thru. I feel super-happy and I'd definitely recommend using their services

I can't say enough about my great experience with Prime Marine. I had a blown engine in my…read morewakeboard boat and I took it in for an inspection and repair estimate. They were very thorough and presented an initial, detailed estimate on what the work would entail. Mike the owner was very knowledgeable and kept me updated on the repairs and cost issues which were always discussed to decide the best outcome for myself and my boat. Michelle in the front office was always great to work with along with the rest of the mechanics who were just as knowledgeable and personable. At the end of the day, I got quality service throughout, recognizing my repair needs were extensive and my final repair costs were fair and justified. Thanks again to everyone at Prime Marine!

Out of respect for Johnny (the scheduler) who is a stand up guy I'm being clear that this message…read moreis for the owner of Prime Marine and people who would consider this shop. I will never go back to prime marine. Johnny had actually requested I use prime marine and handed me his business cards in the church parking lot that we attend together. Johnny was a nice guy and I had recently bought a (new to me)27 hallett (from another church member). I originally had the hallett serviced in 2018 at Rodesway Boats in upland, CA and they were awesome!(Did I mention this is my family's 6th boat and parents 60th year going to the lake, my 35th) So back to the point I brought my boat to prime marine 2-7-19 long before river season starts as I enjoy planning and having my equipment ready for the upcoming season, I figured I'd give johnnys guy a chance over at prime marine. They suggested a full service since it was my first time there and they serviced the boat, I got the typical 3-4 phone calls in two days recommending up sales and delivering bad news until the total reached 1750 dollars "ouch" I happily paid and was glad to bring business to another church member. Please see all invoices below for actual repairs and charges from 2-7-19 and 6-11-19. One of the recommended repairs was a shifting cable assembly as I was told Mine was worn and sticky so I agreed it needed to be changed. I left for the river a few months later in April to take my kids for our first river trip over spring break (my trailer brakes were locking up and I had to remove two calipers on the 60fwy at night, thought you checked the axles and adjusted brakes?? Guess not) once we arrived at the lake I launched and put about one hour on the motor and drive and it seemed to be functional , however when I slowed to approach the marina it was stuck in forward gear. How could this be happening to us when I was so diligent about boat service. I called prime marine from the water (Johnny)and was told to bring the boat back for a look , I would normally leave it in AZ for the season and here I am towing home on a Monday in April with 2/4 trailer brakes functioning. After several phone calls about bringing the boat in and not really feeling like a priority I was able to have my father bring it in today nearly 2 months after the outdrive stuck in forward. I get a call from the owner 30 minutes after drop off at 9:00am stating my shift linkage was broken and the repairs would be nearly 600 dollars, wwwhhhaaattttt? So here's my beef , I have the money and the time and I took my boat to someone who seemed to be trustworthy, you clearly state on your receipts from 2-7-19 that you inspected all shifting mechanisms and repaired shifting cable assembly!!! Don't call me today and explain that the shift linkage isn't part of the shift assembly and you "the professional" didn't recommend changing this earlier in the season when the boat was at your shop and the outdrive was off. You even had the audacity to tell me that this part typically fails because the old version isn't as strong as the new version. This is no way to conduct business and the paperwork tells your story. (You take 0 responsibility for this situation and quite frankly you ripped me off) I'll gladly sacrifice the nearly 2400 dollars on a crap job to help someone else from having their trip cut short , time, and money wasted. From here on out my money is at Rodesway Boats or Concept Marine , thanks but no thanks Prime Marine for wasting my time and money. You know how to get ahold of me if you re-think the situation. Johnny if you read this , your a really nice guy but this isn't the service I expected from you or your boss! I'm completely disappointed

I bought my boat from Inland Boat Center in March 2024 through Taylor and Mr. Hellman. At the time…read moreof sale, the experience was excellent--very responsive, very friendly, and full of assurances that made me feel confident doing business there. I purchased a 2021 Manitou Aurora for $32,000, which I still own and have only put about 30 hours on. A major part of that conversation was a trailer they agreed to sell me for $2,800 out the door. I was told it only needed brakes and that I would get a call when it was ready. I followed up several times and kept hearing delays, including that the wrong brakes had been installed and they needed more time. Eventually the communication stopped completely. Since then, no one has followed through, no one has updated me, and now the original agreement is treated as if it never happened. Instead, the only option presented is a new trailer for around $7,000. I also recently asked what they would offer if they bought the boat back. After paying $32,000 and barely using it, I was offered $16,000. Even getting that answer took repeated effort because emails and calls were ignored until I physically walked into the showroom. Service has been equally disappointing. When I bought the boat, I was specifically told that because I am a Canyon Lake customer they would arrange pickup and delivery for service. When I called recently, I was told there is now a $200 transportation charge and that I would need to take it up with Taylor. I texted Taylor directly again and still received no response. I was also quoted around $1,000 for a basic oil change and impeller replacement, while other boat service centers quoted substantially less for the same work. I have been in sales for over 20 years, and one thing I understand clearly is that customer service after the sale matters more than the sale itself. What stands out most here is how dramatically the customer experience changed once the transaction was complete. Before the purchase, communication was immediate. After the purchase, promises became difficult to verify, follow-up became almost nonexistent, and basic customer service became a struggle. For anyone considering buying here: document everything, get every commitment in writing, and do not rely on verbal promises alone. Based on how this has been handled, I would not purchase from Inland Boat Center again, and I would not recommend that friends, family, or anyone I know buy or service a boat there.
