I would never recommend this shop. We were charged for a lake test that never happened. They installed gimble bearing in wrong position and installed the outdrive gasket backwards. We have been going back & forth since summer. Finally had a different shop fix it. This shop does not stand behind their work at all. We all make mistakes. It's how you handle that mistake with your customer that makes you a good or bad shop. read more

Concept Marine did a excellent job with the annual maintenance on my boat. It was very tough job to get to the impeller but they were able to do it and apparently it didn't take as long as they anticipated and so they ended up giving me a discount. They also educated me on various aspects of my motor and they even had the same motor out on a engine stand in the back of the shop so it was very easy to see all around it and I could see exactly where everything was that they were working on. The worst thing that happened to my boat was finding this shop, was given a price of 900.00 for a complete maint. tune up which was met, 1 day later my boat was dead in the water at Topock Gorge in the middle of a monsoon storm due to his work. The broken alternator belt which he had replaced, endangered my whole family in this storm, which we would have avoided if my boat was running. It cost me another 900.00 to have my boat towed out of Havasu at midnight, upon bringing my boat back to the shop for another month on a job that probably took a hour or two to fix, the chair in the boat was broken during the storm and he was asked to replace or fix the screws holding it in place, one hour on the lake my boat was making loud noises coming from the belt he installed and when we slightly throttled up my wife fell over backwards and hit her head on the back seat, thanks again Al. John, the owner, was professional right from the beginning of my phone conversation to the end of my transaction. John and his staff, Glen, were very friendly, very accommodating explaining what was needed with the repair, upfront, and honest. This was my first time here to have them repack the bearings on my trailer hubs (4), replace seals if need to, and do an overall inspection. The cost of labor and parts were very, very reasonable especially compared to other boat places I've been to before. They were prompt to finish the repair. They even cleaned off the extra grease I spilled on my chrome wheels. Glen provided an extra excellent customer service by helping me hitch my boat to my truck with his fork lift. Other local shop want me to bring my boat in for a quote, which i did not have time to do and was one week out to service my boat.
