We recently decided to resurrect our backyard landscaping which was pretty bad. What a life saver. Scott showed up on time. He wore a mask before entering the house. Did his troubleshooting on the timer. Found a bad solenoid, which he had. Since the solenoid and valve are only a few bucks more. He ran and got both replacements. Returning in a half hour. He installed the faulty part and programmed the new timer on my sons cellphone. Everything is working great. He was very professional and explained everything theroughly. A very reasonable price for his 2-hrs of time and the cost of parts. He is clearly a great choice to be our preferred reliable landscaping service. The part you don't know is he actually fixed my problem over the phone. After calling 8- other sprinkler services, he was the only one that was willing to help me over the phone. Everyone else only wants to get a appointment. No interest in speaking with you. Very disappointing to see the majority doesn't even want to know what your problem is. You can tell a professional by the way he cares about a customer, and not himself for profit. I called Scott for a second opinion, and I'm glad that I did. I don't have conventional pop-up sprinklers, but subterranean emitters, which had been damaged during a major rooter repair. The first contractor was really pushing me to rip out the subterranean system and install sprinklers, but he did make repairs to the emitter lines. I thanked him for the work he did, paid him, and sent him on his way. I was pretty turned off by the strong arm sales tactics. (BTW, this is another highly ranked local irrigation/landscape company.) Scott and his guys came out to take a look at the system and he confirmed that repairs to the damaged portions of the existing lines were all that was needed. He also showed me where the repairs made by the first landscaper were leaking. He provided a reasonable quote to repair the lines, install new sod, and install a new irrigation timer. They showed up on time for both scheduled days that they worked and were very professional. It's been a month and the new sod has rooted nicely and is looking great. read more

I hate to even write this, but yelp keeps sending requests for a review and I have to be honest with my experience. Scott was very nice in person and I was so excited to work with him, but even more disappointed that he didn't follow through or show up to our scheduled day/time, which was rescheduled three times after two no shows. I'm sad that the reviews I read about his previous unprofessionalism were true after all. I was hoping it wasn't because he seemed like a really nice guy. What an enigma. After a few scheduling glitches on Scott's part (which I was very understanding of despite it wasting 3 of my afternoons) we finally met. I had a pretty solid vision of what we wanted but was certainly receptive to Scott's vision and feedback. He came out, we talked plans, numbers, etc. However his assistant did not do any measurements which was a bit odd but ok, I figured next go around. We seemed to click and he got where we wanted to go with our front and partial backyard. Scott came back to me with a fairly detailed bid in a reasonable time and for the most part we were on the same page. His numbers for our front and back were in our budget wheelhouse, around $20,000.00. This is certainly not chump change and I feel a pretty robust budget. I asked that his bid be itemized so I could get a look at the numbers in finer detail which I think is more then fair given the budget. After that...poof, nothing. No responses to emails, texts, or calls. So take it for what it is...maybe the project was to ambitious for his company but why go through the process of drafting an initial bid...I honestly have no idea but I find it flummoxing that any company would just walk away from a $20,000 budget. read more

Scott did a great job, until he stopped doing the job altogether. I basically just got ghosted. I have unfinished irrigation lines and no plants. Did a great job with the concrete and sod and haven't gotten him to return my phone calls. Now I'm scrambling finding someone to finish his work. So every other contractor that comes through does t seem to understand what he did. It's a shame because I wanted him to do all the work. I can't say why he didn't finish the work. I hired Pacific Crest Landscape to do some root removal and leveling of my backyard. After the work he did, I highly recommend Scott. I had a landscaper that I used in the past refuse to do this section of my yard because when he did another section several months ago the visible roots were only the 'tip of the iceberg.' 3 pine trees with 3-4 foot diameter trunks had been removed from the yard, so you can imagine the roots left behind. Scott came out within a couple of days to take a look. He was the most professional and sounded like the most knowledgable of the contractors I spoke with and his price was the most reasonable. I actually had someone quote more than three times as much! The job ended up taking a few hours longer than expected because the roots were worse than expected.
