This is the second time I have worked with Fred. I took a chance on him years prior when tree roots had uprooted my original concrete in my backyard. Since then, the concrete has held up so well over the years and I have received multiple compliments on the concrete durability from other landscapers, I decided to contact him again. This second time, I wanted to clean up my yard because of fighting constant weeds, drainage issues causing flooding and and to clean up the unsightly/unusable space that was a maintenance nightmare (see before/after photos). Fred took the time to hear my concerns and went above and beyond what I could imagine my yard to look. I have a small sunken concrete floor area in my patio that gets flooded with water when it rains. Fred came out to assess the issue and he was very knowledgeable about the situation. He recommended trying something more low budget first like putting a sump pump to clear out the area where it usually puddles. He said patching the area may still not solve the puddling issue. read more

We hired Paz Landscaping & Concrete for a back yard project. We are on a one-acre lot that had nothing but red bark coving the entire yard and hill side. I don't know that much about landscaping, but we had a basic idea on what we wanted to do. We explained to them what we wanted and that we are open for suggestions on what to do. They came up with plans that exceeded our expectations. The plans were accepted by our Four Seasons HOA landscape committee the first time we submitted them. They were also willing to travel to Hemet which we found most landscape companies were not willing to do. My wife and I decided on adding a two tier retaining wall to our 5000 sq. ft backyard; which would need to be excavated and grated prior to starting the project. We decided on Paz Landscaping. Fred had meticulously described the plan for our property and provided professional drawings with the exact detail. Our yard was very challenging in a sense that the dirt would have to be pulled away from our fence and moved uphill without the grater accidentally rolling downhill 20 ft. onto the neighbor's property. Other contractors shied away from taking on this difficult project. As an added challenge, we had a 1000 lbs. boulder right in the path of construction; if not removed, it would alter the position of the wall, thus creating a narrow walkway. Fred carefully and systematically was able to remove the boulder. After, Fred advised us of the detail of when the material would be delivered and when the project would start and end. He also scheduled the grater as the project moved along. The communication was right on! Fred is very detailed and meticulous with his work. He's also is pleasant, kind and cares about detail. We appreciate that he didn't try to "just finish the job". My wife and I are extremely pleased with Fred and the Paz Landscaping crew. They did a wonderful job and we HIGHLY recommend Paz Landscaping. We will definitely be using Paz Landscaping for our future project. read more

I called to set up an appointment we could never seem to get together to have the work looked at to get an estimate. When I did decide to go with someone else the response I received from him was I wasted his time. In business that's what happens people call and get estimates it doesn't mean that you're necessarily going to get the job I just don't think that his response was very professional. Completely unprofessional! Give someone else your money. I had an estimate done last year and with other remodeling going on and the rain putting sod in was delayed. I called to schedule an appointment for someone to come out and go over the project again and everything seemed fine. I get a call late Friday night from Albert telling me that he can't make our 7am appointment and wants to know if we can reschedule for Sunday morning at 8am. I said sure. Sunday morning at 7:35am he calls to tell me he suddenly remembers coming out to my house and doesn't want to do the job unless I agree to do a sprinkler system. I told him I didn't think that was necessary because it's such a small place that we can just water it with a hose/sprinkler. He said he wrote this on his original estimate that he wouldn't do the job without putting in sprinklers. At this point my time has been completely wasted since I could have just had appointments for other landscapers to come out. I read him his estimate which doesn't mention sprinklers at all. Then he said he doesn't want to do the job because if the grass dies he will be responsible. I told him his poor customer service is what he should be worried about. Who cancels two appointments back to back. One only giving the homeowner 25 minute notice. read more
