Exceptional Service - Highly Recommend!…read more When I moved into my condo, I inherited motorized shades that had been installed by the previous owner. Recently, two out of three stopped working, and after exhausting my own troubleshooting, I reached out to Newmoon Blinds. A huge shoutout to Sehii, who was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. He quickly diagnosed the issue, explained everything clearly, and got my shades working perfectly again. Cellular shades are one thing; installation "made easy" is another thing. Firstly, DIY, really, but…read morefollow the following adjustments to the installation instructions: First, the bracket attachment screws are made for a square end screwdriver, which many DIY folks may not have, although Phillips #2 screwdriver will sort of suffice as long as not much pressure is needed to drive it in. Furthermore, if the bracket needs to be attached for inside mount, the back screw head is sufficiently fat or thick that it did not permit the back of the shade enough room to click up into place. We had to buy the same size Phillips flathead screws. Also, for drilling into wood, a 3/32 drill bit is recommended, but the hole is tiny and the screw needs much more torque to go in, and using a Phillips head screwdriver may chew up the screw head. We found a 7/64 drill bit to be much better. So, even though installation was a sad saga that should have been simpler--and perhaps the idea is to promote the use of one of the shop's handymen--following some of the above tips should allow you to DIY!

My Christmas present from my Mom this past Christmas was dressing up the windows in my kitchen. So…read morewe had Warrenton Decor come out and look over the windows, take measurements, select a fabric and style - and get a quote. I decided to go for valances over the two windows - instead of curtains. I also had her price out a new curtain rod for the window in the dining room - that curtain rod had snapped and fallen of the wall due to the mounting hardware being inadequate to hold the weight of the curtain (the place that sold me the curtains and installed them has since gone out of business). Dawn brought in a ton of fabric sample books. I was having a hard time selecting something - nothing really resonated with me. I asked if there were any other fabric options? She brought one more book in from her car and Bingo! This one pattern immediately sang to me! So my Mom made the arrangements, a few weeks later the valances were completed and ready to install - they came out and installed them and they look really nice. The quality of the work is quite good. Additionally, the installed the new curtain rod and mounting hardware - this time that curtain is going nowhere! The rod and mounting hardware closely match the color scheme I have going in my dining room/living room - so Dawn did good! Dawn, the owner of Warrenton Decor really knows her stuff! Check them out!

Linda is AWESOME. We received a referral to Linda from our neighbor who had just engaged her to…read moreselect colors for their house. We hired Linda in similar fashion. Let me describe the services provided and why it was awesome. We were in the midst of redecorating and had several rooms that we were planning to repaint. Linda had a fixed price for a set number of rooms that we thought was very reasonable to begin with. We were really expecting her to stop by, take a look at our house, understand our needs and provide recommendations. But, oh...she did so much more. Linda spent 7 hours with us! For each space that we consulted her on, she asked us to describe usage, provided recommendations, then held up color swatches on the walls so we could see what the color would look like in bright light and shadows and further gave us decor tips. We did not just pick colors, we felt confident in our choices. As I think back to our initial experience when we moved in, we liked a lot of color and picked some bold colors throughout pretty randomly. Unfortunately, less than 4 years later we are re-painting so many areas because the color seems overbearing or did not really work. If we had used Linda's services right at the start, we wouldn't be repainting so soon so we would have saved money! In the end, we have picked shades of a similar color but as Linda explained, there is a rhythm to this, as you move from active areas to areas where light fades and gets bright, you see a consistency and can also change moods somewhat. Again, YMMV, but all-in-all, I don't think anyone will be dissatisfied with Linda...she goes out of her way to please...she need not have spent 7 hours with us and we think that the decor tips she provided are strong. Her work ethic and enthusiasm was excellent...we almost could not keep up with her even after 7 hours. 10/10 for her service and enthusiasm.
