Over priced and not good food! We ordered fries and onion rings, 2 of each, it came to $28 , they do not include any fry sauce with your highly expensive orders either! I figured I am a huge foodie so if the food is amazing then at least it was worth it, well I was highly disappointed! The fries though average and nothing to praise were not the problem, the onion rings were gross, the crust was so hard I thought I'd break my tooth which was odd cause they don't look over cooked so it leads me to believe they were using old stale batter! I agree with the review that said slightly better than school lunch. 20$ for a small coke, onion rings that were brick hard and had little flavor, and the burger was like a wish.com version of a whopper. Honestly the best thing I ate for lunch was the fry sauce so they at least got that going for them. I had to force myself to finish the food cause I was hungry hungry that day And I didn't want to hurt any feelings cause I'm also a nice guy. Staff are super awesome! But when he sold me on, "The best burgers, onion rings, and coke in town" yeah I'm sorry bud but honestly McDonalds double quarter pounder is way better and I wont eat at McDonald's unless I have to. My kids love to go here, especially on break at the dance studio or to get a cool summer treat (they love Rainbows). I avoided this place for a long time because of the negative reviews and how old it looks. But my husband took the kids and said the food was really good. Since then everything I've had has been good. It does take a while to get your food, but it's cooked to order, and fresh. The chicken tenders are especially crispy, the fries are done well, and the fry sauce portions (which you pay for) are generous & tasty. My kids also like the burgers. read more

When I lived in North Salt Lake in the 1990's, my family ate here often. Since then it's been more sporadic, but whenever I'm in Davis County I always make it a point go back. This is an old-school drive in that still makes burgers old-school. Nothing fancy, just great cheeseburgers, fries, tots, and a great menu of shakes, and especially the fresh raspberry rainbow. Service is quick, you order at the counter and pick up your order when it's ready. They have a great collection of old time metal signs to browse on the walls. So, none of it tasted that good. The ice in my Diet Coke was fabulous. The only reason for two stars was the ice. There were two women working the counter. One of them was so distracted she waited until all my food was cooked to make my drink. She had glasses and a bun in her light brown hair. Instead of finishing my order, she decided to horn in and "help" take some dude's order who was already being helped by the younger counter woman. I mean, WTF. I'm always game to try new ice cream, and when I friend told me about an ice cream dessert called the Rainbow, I jumped at the chance to try it. Pace's is a local restaurant with an old-school drive in feel to it. There's not a lot of tables to sit at, so be prepared to stand or sit in your car to eat if you come on a weekend evening. The Rainbow was good--not quite what I was expecting, but good. If you've ever had an Italian ice and custard combo, it's similar, just replace the ice with a Frazil or a slushy snow cone, and you've got a Rainbow. There are lots of flavors to choose from, including strawberry, pineapple, raspberry, tiger's blood, cherry, grape, orange, lime, and blue raspberry. Well it's not the best dessert I've had, it certainly was good on a hot September day. read more

A million years ago when I was a little girl, my mom brought me to Pace's Dairy Ann to get Pace Bars. They are hands-down the best popsicle in the galaxy. When we I'm passing through town and want a dose of nostalgia, I hit this place up. Not much has changed in 30 years-it still looks and smells the way I remember. Except that the Pace Bar is now called the Astro Bar on the menu. I tested it yesterday and ordered a "Pace Bar." The girl at the counter didn't bat an eye-she knew what it was. I've not had the food in eons, so I won't review that aspect. But the service was great, place was clean and the memories from my childhood are alive and well. read more

Problem is it's more of an old school place (still owned by the same family, still doing the food the same way they always did) but outsiders who walk in expecting a super shiny efficient cheap streamlined experience are sad. This drive-in has been on our want-to-try list for a while and we got a chance to try it out today. We were sadly all disappointed. My husband got the cowboy burger and they got his order wrong, but even if they hadn't it wouldn't have made a difference. It was a very mediocre burger. I shared chicken tenders with my daughter and they were just okay. Nothing I'd order again. The ranch that came with the chicken was salad dressing ranch and not ranch for dipping. It was tasted tangy and was gross. My son ordered a grilled cheese and it came on a burger bun and was not good at all. He was pretty disappointed and left the restaurant hungry. The onion rings were also gross. The only thing remotely good was the oreo shake. The worst part was paying over $40 on a meal that was hardly edible. read more

The only thing I would highly recommend would be a walk up window for ordering, especially during COVID and/or for people not necessarily wanting or needing to go inside since they do not have a drive up window. I had a cheeseburger-more bun than meat and you have to pay extra for lettuce-definitely not anything special ( comparable to a kids cheeseburger in a happy meal). Went here with my family for lunch, and ordered a double deluxe cheeseburger, tater tots, a corn dog, and one drink and it the total was $19.21. The hamburger tasted like something that came out of a convenience store warmer, and the tots did not taste good. I didn't even get a lot of tors and the burger was very small and tasted Like garbage. The only thing that tasted good and was fresh was the corn dog, and it was really tiny, and was almost $4!!!! This places is officially disgusting. I've never thrown away a full meal before today. We ordered a hot dog, hamburger, noon rings and a soft serve and waited 35 minutes outside in 94 degree weather. Had we not had our dog we'd waited inside. Regardless, when you're waiting a long time for food you're expecting it to taste goo AND be hot! The hot dog was barely warm, the bun was soggy. The onion rings were barely warm. So my guess is the meal had been made and forgotten about. When I took it back and complained about my warm hot dog the girl said "sooo you don't want a warm hot dog?" And I said "Exactly, I want a hot hot dog.... Take a bite and tell me what You think?" She wouldn't and seemed to think was so weird. I'm happy to give places 2nd and 3rd chances, but their lack of great customer service was ridiculous. It's not hard to serve hot food. Jeesh. This is a family business that I remember in the early 1960s had ice cream trucks that drove through the neighborhood playing music to attract moms and kids! The jet bar was my favorite! But since then I believe a grandson of the original owner is the owner manager. I'm not sure but I think some of the worker are special needs because they are not to quick on the uptake. The food preparation is very slow and the having to purchase extra fry sauce is frustrating. The cost of fry sauce should be divided among other food items if they are that close on their percentage of profit. Having to pay extra for some sauce that is free at any other fast food place is a negative for the customer. I personally like the greasy food and burgers and the oil soaked onion rings. I was driving home from running errands and Pace's caught my eye. Not sure why I hadn't noticed it before but I went home and grabbed the fiance since I love drive-in style places and wanted to check it out for lunch. The parking lot was packed but we didn't have to wait long to order. Fiance ordered the deluxe cheeseburger and I got the grilled cheese. We ordered a side of tater tots and then each ordered a shake. I got the fudge mint and he ordered the chocolate malt. I was so looking forward to an authentic grilled cheese made on a grill so I was pretty disappointed when I opened the packaging and it was just a hamburger bun with melted cheese inside. Nothing special at all and almost tasted like it was stuck in the microwave and not even put on a grill. Fiance said the burger was just what you would expect, nothing gourmet or fancy just a simple American burger with shredded lettuce, onions, pickles mayo and ketchup on a sesame seed bun. A little too much ketchup and mayo but otherwise good. The tater tots were fried perfectly crispy I just kept getting a fishy taste as if they were cooked in same oil while fish was being fried. Though that may have just been my taste buds as the fiance didn't get that taste. The shakes are the saving grace. I would come back just for dessert. The shake was not above the rim and not thick as custard yet still not thin enough to drink with a straw. Great consistency and flavor. People behind the counter seemed friendly enough can't really comment on service since it is the type of place you order your food and then they call your number and you have to pick it up. read more
