I've ended up here for lunch twice last week for some reason. Both times I would have preferred outdoor seating as the weather was prefect but they didn't seem setup which is unfortunate. So far I've had the ceviche, the fish, chicken and carne asada tacos and the street corn. Everything tasted great and prices are very reasonable especially on taco Tuesday. Of the three tacos I tried I liked the chicken the most. It's still slow at lunch time and service can be a bit spotty. Not a good experience. When we walked in we were quickly greeted and seated. The place wasn't very busy. The ratio of customer to employee was about 1-1. We sat in our booth for 6 minutes and didn't have any server even acknowledge us. Multiple waitstaff walked right by. No "be right with you" or anything. The staff as a whole was just meandering around. No one was moving with any purpose. So we left. 6 minutes may not seem like a long time but when you're completely ignored it's an eternity. read more

If you're looking for friendly service and a cute environment, this place is for you. Gringo Mexican food would be being generous. Warmed Tostito Chips with Frontera salsa, that you have to pay for. "Carne Asada" that might have touched a flame, but then was boiled or streamed to a stewed consistency. Dry Street Corn. Tacos that were straight up not good, Carne, Carnitas and Shrimp... three strikes you're out. Great location and service, but not good food. read more

I'm not really sure what all the rave is about with this place. I got the queso dip, salsa and chips and carne asada tacos. The queso comes in a huge bowl but there isn't much of it and the salsa isn't very flavorful. The tacos weren't anything special the best part about the tacos are the avocado poblano sauce, cheese, pico de gallo and cilantro the "steak" if that's what you want to call it was chewy and meh. I will say the price for the salsa and chips &tacos are fair but the queso is a bit steep! People are comparing this place to Mulas or Roja but that is disrespectful and a slap in the face because this place doesn't even belong in the same sentence as those establishments! The service was mediocre at best -- the server stopped by maybe 1x after we ordered and man I was parched the whole dinner because no refill on my water -- the chips and salsa are unlimited but you have to go track down a server to get the refills! A lot of good food for a good price. Our server was really nice and constantly there to fill up drinks and check on us. The only thing keeping from 5 stars was it did take a quite a while to get our food, but it was worth a wait definitely. read more

Great little find. Just opened up, so some growing pains. That being said the Staff was phenomenal and more than made up for the growing pains. I had the Carne Asada Plate, the steak was perfect. Go on Wednesday! It's happy hour all day! Half price appetizers and drink specials. We had chicken nachos which were very very tasty. The various ingredients were nicely balanced. A little light on the chicken but the great taste overcame that weakness. We had to wait an eon to be seated in spite of being nearly empty but they were light staffed early in the evening. The margarita had that fresh lime taste that reminded me of Mexican vacations. It's very nicely decorated, a really pleasant dining environment. Overall glad we came. read more

My husband and I stopped in on a Friday evening around 7. The place is well decorated and seemed comfortable and not too busy. We were seated right away and our server was with us pretty quickly. She was friendly and attentive. I'll say from the start that the waitress was the best part of our visit. We asked a couple of questions about the menu. One of the questions I had was concerning the margaritas as I don't like sweet and prefer to have my margarita at least have some tequila flavor to it. So I asked, "Are they sweet, limey or a little boozy?" She said they were fresh made every day, not too sweet and 1 might give you a buz. We weren't hungry enough for a full dinner so we ordered the guacamole, mango ceviche and 2 "house" margaritas. The drinks arrived quickly and were in nice glasses with a not too overly salted rim. They were unfortunately very bland. Not alot of lime flavor, too sweet for my taste and absolutely no flavor of tequila whatsoever. Big disappointment. Shortly after receiving our drinks the waitress returned with our food. Presentation was nice. The guacamole had a good amount of cilantro, onions, and tomatoes. The ceviche was chopped nicely and looked quite pretty. Chips came warm and were nice and crisp. Here again unfortunately we were disappointed in the quality and lack of flavor. The guacamole lacked seasoning and tasted bland because of this, and the ceviche lacked much of the protein that was in it (I think it was shrimp, but there was too little in it to be sure). The menu did refer to the ceviche as "Mango Ceviche" so maybe mango was supposed to be the main ingredient? Because it definitely was. Overall for me there was nothing that stood out about this restaurant that would make me want to return or to recommend it to anyone else. The place looks nice and has a great outdoor section. That's about it only redeeming quality. I could reserve anytime on a Saturday night which should have been a clue. The service is extremely slow even though the restaurant is at 25% capacity. Not only was one order completely wrong but all the food was lukewarm at best. If I could give this restaurant a no star, I would. Ordered the cheese queso dip. The queso was served lukewarm. I thought there was chicken in the queso and it was chunks of unmelted cheese!!! Then I ordered 3 tacos and the tacos were cold. Overall the food was disgusting and not worth the time. I do give credit to the staff, they were polite and friendly. We dined at Pa Mas Taqueria for our first night in Omaha. The sweet lady at the hostess booth took us to a table on the patio. We had a nice table near a firepit and views of the park. We ordered appetizers of chips and salsa, chips and guacamole, and cotija cheese fries. Chips were light and crispy, salsa had a mild, roasted tomato flavor. Guacamole was fresh, tasty and could do with a bit more heat - jalapeño or serranos. The cotija cheese fries had a very good sauce with grilled onions and poblano peppers on top. The actual fries resembled McD's frozen fries, would have preferred hand cut wedges for scooping the sauce and bits. Presentation of the fries in a paper and metal cone was awkward. We pulled the paper out and laid it flat on the table to share the fries. So good! He had a ground beef taco, I had a carnitas taco - loved the crispy, smoky pork and fresh ingredients. My spouse and I flew in from the west coast to meet friends that we haven't seen in almost 7 years and chose Pa Ma's to meet up and reunite over drinks. The deck provided a comfortable setting to enjoy our friends until our server decided to accuse my friends and I of being racists and refused to serve us any more food or drinks. I am/was completely embarrassed and had my entire evening ruined by this grotesque display of sheer ignorance. The manager approached our table and continued the embarrassment by trying to explain how uncomfortable our tattoo cover server felt by our presence. Our party was completely embarrassed and confused by this whole thing and because everyone of the ethnic staff was now stopping and staring at our table we felt we had no choice but to leave for our own saftey. We paid our bill without leaving a tip and left quietly hopingto avoid any further embarrassment. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I went as far as to go back to my hotel and inform the manager about our experience and they as well seemed very appalled. The evening started off so good but if any person/establishment chooses to treat me, my spouse, or my friends like Kyle Rittenhouse because we speak with a accent then I will have no choice but to defend myself by saying I was discriminated while paying to enjoy an evening out with dear friends in a town far from my home. read more

Had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner for 49 guests in a portion of the restaurant this past Friday evening. Joshua was great to work with and the food was excellent! We had a steak and chicken fajita buffet with rice and beans, all the accompaniments, salsa, queso, chips and added Bavarian filled churros for dessert. They were outstanding! It was all fantastic with a number of people saying how good everything was and in particular, how tender and delicious the steak was. Joshua worked with us to fit the 20-person wedding party at a head table and the 30 guests we invited facing the group. It couldn't have been better! The atmosphere and the dinner were all excellent and I would highly recommend anyone who's hosting a dinner event of our size, look into booking with Joshua and his crew at Pa Mas. The food here is spectacular. It has a Cantina Laredo feel but much more professional and with some familiar faces. However, I do not agree with their policy of not honoring veterans in the same way as active duty. There are no wars going on now involving American troops. But many of us served in past conflicts that defended this great nation and suffered losses that can never be replaced. Go back to Cantina rules that honors all military, police officers and fireman rather it is in the past or present. Nothing is more disrespectful than having someone who has never served belittling your military contribution. Ending on a good note...the food is second to none. read more

When we got seated, we were told that our server would be with us shortly, but they weren't. We waited 15 minutes before I had to seek out a server to start us off & provide us with water. Immediately, the manager (I believe) was kind enough to approach us and apologize about their lack of service to us with the place not being busy either. While they have only been open for a month, they lack the basics that should have been mastered by now. There was no host to seat us so we waited awkwardly until a waiter came to seat us. They didn't offer water, silverware or plates until we asked and even then, they took their sweet time when there were only 4 other tables there at the time and plenty of staff. We are vegetarians and they didn't have a single thing on the menu and when asked if they could accommodate us, they said no. We weren't asking for them to create new dishes, just make fajitas without the meat, which any other Mexican restaurant would have gladly done. We were surprised to say the least. We didn't have a specific waiter at any point, we just had to flag down random staff which was beyond frustrating. The tables around us had similar experiences and there was a common sense of disappointment. 1/10 would not recommend. read more
