My family and I were very pleased with how accommodating the staff were this past weekend. We celebrated a 90th birthday. Staff were friendly and everyone was pleased with their menu selections. Loved the food, and the atmosphere. Plenty of seating and great value for the portions of food. Covid friendly and portions are very filling. Found the staff too chatty while trying to eat and monopolized the conversation interrupting the conversation between the people at the table. read more

Glad I found this spot! En route to the Whitewater Region, I stopped for a late lunch. Their "Canadian Burger" (8 oz. of Black Angus beef, smothered in mushrooms & topped with bacon) came with a generous salad and a huge portion of home cut french fries. Best burger I've had in ages, nice and friendly folks providing the hospitality. I was only passing through (I live in Massachusetts), but I hope to repeat my trip next summer and am looking forward to a repeat 'performance.' read more

PJ's has some solid food, it's certainly not a foodie haven but it has huge portions.....mostly fresh food, maybe all.....fingers crossed, and reasonable prices. We split a chicken fettuccine alfredo and we still had left overs to take home. read more

Courteous and thoughtful service! My husb and I dragged 4 kids 5 and under for an early supper as a break during a long drive. Our normally adorable and shy 16 month old turned into a scene from the Exorcist. The staff couldn't have been lovelier as we paid the bill and packed everything up. She even included the kids jello in cups for the road! The husb loved his PJ's burger - the fries were super boring, so maybe he'd get gravy next time. The 5 yr old scarfed down his pepperoni pita pizza. I enjoyed the cheesey garlic bread and cream of chicken soup as salty comfort food. Ridiculously overpriced for what you get food wise. Waitresses are crotchety valley women and delivery drivers are slow.

If this is the best restaurant in Arnprior, then that is pretty darn sad. We just had a couple of items from their take-out menu (club sandwich & chicken ceaser wrap) - total CRAP. We have also eaten in their restaurant and it was just okay. Mostly their stuff is just overpriced crap. Never again. read more

Bacon sandwich was decent. My fries were pretty stale though. Servers were very friendly and pleasant. Not too sure if I would come back.

Chose lunch here based on a google map search. Big mistake not to Yelp it for the skinny on it as well. I wouldn't have stopped and been served the worst meat in a Montreal sandwich I've had and a mound of additive tasting dressing on the bowl of iceberg lettuce. Even the fries were not worth eating. Hubby enjoyed his burger on a gluten free bun and we enjoyed the outside seating and wifi. Family stile restaurant that specializes in Canadian Italian/Greek cuisine. Has good breakfasts as well. I would have given this place a 3-4 in the past but it has been a bit of a hit or miss when it comes to execution lately. I've had lasagna that was right on the money and deserts that really capped things off. Lately they seem to be letting things slide. The last time I was there the chicken and shrimp were passed well done and were tough. The veggies were boiled to the point of being soggy. The rice was rewarmed several times over and had that weird texture rice develops when the proteins have reached the point of no return. My suggestion would be for the cook take an interest in the food they are cooking. Try steaming basmati rice and seasoning it just before serving, steam the veggies just long enough to cook them and please remove the stems from the green beans. Lastly it takes mere seconds to skin tiger shrimp and they should be the last thing to hit the grill. Leaving shrimp languishing in a neglected corner of the grill for twenty minutes does not improve them! I hope they sort this out because P J's has been one of the more reliable eateries in Arnprior since 1968. Try it out and stick to the pastas. read more
