Breakfast was very good. Eggs were very fresh, and home fries were crispy. My daughter said the bacon was her favourite part. Recommended

Situated in an old mill Joes keeps a rustic feel adding to its charm. The menu which is somewhat limited focusing on Pinsa (like a pizza) for which they appear to use authentic Italian ingredients. The Joe theme is carried over to the pinsa menu names. I had the Joe Theisman, a goat cheese pesto pinsa. Very well prepared. We also ordered a beet and feta salad with chicken that was fresh and quite good. Service was very attentive, prices fair.

If you sit outside, perched on the side of the mill, you have a wonderful view of the river and falls that run through Almonte. It is however a bit loud at times, impacting conversation slightly. Food and service were both solid. My Joe Walsh pizza was perfectly prepared and tasty. My meal partners all enjoyed their choices as well. It was a bit too much for me to finish! The crust was fabulous. It is a limited menu: beer, wine, non alcoholic drinks, and anti-pasta, pasta, salads and the Pinsa Romana we had, heralded as the new pizza. This is not a place for gluten free eaters! Definitely worth a visit for atmosphere along with a glass of wine and pizza.

I'll start with the food: I almost ALWAYS go for the chefs special. More specifically - the fish special. I've had trout, artic char, sea bass and salmon. EVERY SINGLE TIME they have been cooked to perfection and the fish melts in your mouth. My husband loves the prime rib and gets it whenever it's being offered. Other favorites are the crab cakes, (they are a decent size and you get two) baked Brie, and the escargot . They also give you unlimited fresh baked bread! Service is always impeccable as well. The owner Lynn treats you like a friend and remembers us every time we visit. We often get Tarek and he's been at the mill for over 20 years - so he's very knowledgeable on the menu and gives wonderful recommendations and wine pairings. As a local - if you want to know where we love to eat - this is it!

Nice and quiet. Cindy was our server, she was attentive and knowledgeable. We started with drinks and the French onion soup and caprese salad. My husband truly enjoyed the soup, piping hot and delicious. The caprese salad was okay. Invest in the good buffalo mozzarella or at least the larger sliced cheese. A tad over dressed. I had the sole with potatoes and veggies. It was to come with a lemon beurre blanc sauce that didn't seem to be very lemon forward. Hubby had the rigatoni calabrese, very good. The star of the meal was the chocolate cheesecake. Decadent, light for a cheesecake, wonderful crust. Overall a pleasant meal.

He took me here and I do highly recommend it. The ambiance was good, clean, with plexus glass separating walls to stay covid safe. For starters we ordered bruschetta. It was good with bigger chunks of tomato. They brought out, the house rolls/bread? It was out of this world good. I wanted more but, they didn't want to serve anymore since they were closing and didn't want to make another pan. Well, that's stinks for customer service. I get it. But let me tell you I was ready to order some to bring back home to Cali, since I was leaving the next day. My bf ordered shrimp antipasto which was ok. And I ordered linguine Ala Vongole. That was nicely done! I do recommend this place, but I hope when we come back next time they have more rolls to satisfy their customers.

And while the Pizza I ordered was really good, I was promised a Gluten free pizza and I got cross contaminated so im now left a fair bit ill, would not recommend this place if you have a sensitive gluten allergy like mine. HOWEVER, the experience while I was there was quite lovely and I would recommend if you dont have any gluten allergies and are in the area.
