We still had some time to order our food, we arrived at 10pm and they close the kitchen at 11pm. The server Maria was really nice about sharing that info. Our order- Chicken Lettuce Wrap/Romaine Lettuce Garlic Noodles Dynamite Shrimp Mandarin Crunch Salad Ckn Black Pepper Chicken Espresso Martini w/Bailey's Irish Cream We liked the lettuce wrap appetizer. The flavor of the meat was good and the lettuce to put the filling in were very fresh and crisp. The garlic noodles were great with garlic flavor and noodles cooked just right. The Dynamite Shrimp were pretty small, but tasted nice with a crispy batter. I ordered the Manderin Salad with chicken. It was nothing exciting. I felt it was watery as if it wasn't drained or spinned long enough. I wasn't thrilled w/the cut of the chicken. It was thinly cut medallion style. The presentation of salad wasn't appetizing. The Black Pepper Chicken was decent. Made good for leftovers. I ordered an Espresso Martini. It was pretty strong. Whenever I have ordered this at other restaurants it's usually on the sweet side. I ordered a shot of bailey's to pour into the drink so that I could finish it. The staff were really friendly so I definitely give them kudos for that. I like P.F. Chang's and have gone to other locations. Coming closer to closing time could have something to do with some of the dishes being off. It's not something that will keep me from returning. Brought a group of 5 to dine in observance of Asian Lunar New Year. None of us are Asians, but thought it a fun idea to celebrate the day. The restaurant occupancy was about half full, 5 PMish, so it wasn't too busy. Our server was pleasant, although because she had a large number of tables to tend to, it was about 15 minutes before we were approached for drinks order. We ordered drinks and a number of appies to share, chicken wraps, dumplings, and shrimp. When it came time to order entree, we were told that they had NO egg drop soup (two of my party wanted it as a first course), and NO Hot and Sour Soup (I wanted it). Really? Asian Fusion on Chinese New Year out of Chinese soup, not one soup, but two! Wow, bad, that. All entree's arrived, except mine. The food server brought the meals to the others, presented them and left. As he was passing again a few minutes later I called to him indicating that I did not have my entree. "Let me check on that" said he. He mever returned (about 6 minutes). There were no staff visible that I might get their attention to find my food. Meanwhile, my guests were half through their entree when our waitress came by, unaware of that I did not have my meal. Another 5 minutes passed, my guests were nearly finished eating their meals, when mine arrived. Poor service, poo r communication between staff (unaware that my meal hadn't come). Food was OK, not great. Dined at PF Chang at other locations in California and Nevada, the food quality was not as good as in other locations. All in all, I regret that we dined here. read more

I love and adore the chicken fried rice, but I could make sweet love all-night-long to the Rick's Northern-Style Spare Ribs. Tender pork ribs, marinated for hours, cooked to perfection in a tangy sauce, and served with a little ramekin of Chinese 5-spice blend. Pinch a little atop -- munch, munch, munch. It's pure love. It's a Saturday night, what do you do? Where do you go? Try somewhere new, or go somewhere where you have favorites and is always consistently good? Order "off menu": -- The "real" Ginger Beer; usually made with Kirin beer and ginger syrup has been replaced with a non-alcoholic one on the menu. I have them make it with bud light to save a few calories, and still -- so good. -- The "Stir-fried Eggplant with Chicken" is awesome. PF Chang's really let us down, a complete disappointment during the busy holiday season. I called ahead and confirmed a reservation for our large party with the manager. During our annual get together with friends, we were genuinely looking forward to a great night. But when we arrived, we were told they couldn't honor the reservation because of our party size. I've had better Chinese fast food, the place was dark and hardly anyone was there, food was not good, seemed precooked maybe package?. Egg drop soup was tasteless, had to put salt and pepper to even have a taste, firecracker shrimp ok but the bed of white rice was hard and overcooked, we ordered teriyaki chicken for the kids but came out looking and tasting like an overcooked orange chicken, waitress said it was there teriyaki style chicken not good. Restrooms where not clean have not been updated since its opening. Waitress brought us table settings for 3 not 5 so I had to grab off other tables. Ordered the spicy chicken with white rice and he pork steamed dumplings and a Voodoo ranger IPA. The dumplings weren't traditional dumplings, they were pot stickers. The spicy chicken wasn't spicy, but it had flavor. Over all it was decent and all the locations are similar but I've had better other times at other locations. Service was a little better than decent. Solid food and you know what you get when you come here, it somewhat consistent. The happy hour is great but very limited. I totally get that PF Chang's isn't the height of culinary excellence. However, I've often enjoyed their dynamite shrimp. Now that (CPK) no longer is serving it at the location nearest me, it was back to PF Chang's for my fried shrimp cravings! This time it was a bummer. I put the order in online and they had it my order out on time. Everyone was helpful, so not faulting the service... However my dynamite shrimp were really lack luster. First, they have cut the portion down a lot. The breading was super thick like a cheap fast food place. Upon eating my shrimp it was plain to see that the shrimp inside the breading were SUPER small! It was basically just thick tasteless breading and not the usually crispy light coating I'm used to, Around $17 for a small portion of over breaded shrimp. It wasn't that enjoyable at all. I got the cauliflower as well. It was meh and super soupy. Again it was kinda a let down for the price but not nearly as bad as those shrimps. I go to many PF Chang's across the country, this was by far my worst experience at one. Despite appearing to only having a third of the wait staff the hostess kept seating tables, but it was at-capacity because they weren't turning tables. My server was very pleasant but because he was completely overworked he got to me very infrequently. My main after ordered was given to a takeout order, which my overworked waiter couldn't/didn't catch until after nearly an hour of waiting for it. It took me two hours to have soup, an appetizer and two drinks along with the delayed main. I had to have egg drop because my FAVORITE hot and sour soup was ... unavailable?! How does that happen? To top it off the main was pretty bland. I only ate a third of it and gave up. Normally I take food home with me but not this time. The whole Palm Springs service industry seems to be severely depleted, including other restaurants and the hotel I stayed in. Pretty sad. read more

PF Changs continues to top any Chinese Restaurant in the area, with the exception of Joy in the Fantasy Springs Casino. Obviously Asian cuisine is not a strength of the Coachella Valley, but the entrees are all consistently the same and well prepared. Service is always on point, and those egg rolls with dipping sauce are a favorite. read more

We asked to see the menus again and in very small print under bases there was a $2. The wait staff took our order and never mentioned if we pick fried rice or noodle there was an extra charge. When we arrived for our reservation, we were greeted with an ill-tempered hostess and were told we were going to have to wait 45 mins even though we had a booking confirmation for the time we arrived. When we asked to speak with the manager, she was just as rude. if I were working for Corporate, I would be thoroughly investigating the culture at this location and firing the manager and front staff immediately. The whole ambience, from the outside, entry way, and the entire dining area is elegant. I love the high ceilings and theming. It does feel a little crowded because the tables and chairs are close together and just slightly cramped, but also, as large as the dining area is (with booth tables as well), it also gets crowded. You need to make reservations, so make sure you plan ahead. We were able to try many dishes since they are served family style. The food, overall to me, is good. The noodle dishes, the fried rice, and the various mains of protein, veggies etc...all edible, all good. Be aware that some dishes are spicy and have a kick. Does anything stand-out as a must-try or something I'll crave later? No, not for me. Again, I think the draw for a restaurant like this is that it's bougie (but in an approachable, attainable way) and if that's the vibe you're seeking, this place does that. We brought our own wine (well, someone in our group did) and they provided us with wine glasses. Which leads me to the service....polite, kind, and helpful. Sometimes we did have to flag them down, but like, that's not a problem...how are they suppose to know we need something at the time that we need it? We had like, maybe 3 servers, assist with our table, and they were very busy because the whole place is bustling with activity. Be patient with them, they are definitely making the best effort and good at what they do. Again, there is a purpose to coming to a place like this. We enjoyed lunch today at PF Chang's in Rancho Mirage. They have a budget lunch menu available called Wok Fired Favorites. I ordered Mongolian Beef and the Pork Egg Roll. My companion ordered Orange Chicken and Lobster Won Tons. Everything was tasty. The service was attentive and helpful. Our server Geo made sure everything we ordered was to our liking. Been dining at PF Changs for years. Never coming back to this location. Took 10 minutes to be acknowledged. Appetizer arrived WITH dinner. That's sucks. People don't want their appetizer with their main meal all at once. They used to give extra lettuce cups, now they charge .99cents. Any why tf are restaurants charging $4.50 for a coke?! Food arrived barely warm. The orange chicken was like rubber & left a funky coating/taste in your mouth. The rest of the food tasted like old fridge or dirty dishwater. Very disappointing experience. Long wait time for food, and once we got out food it was NOT at all the quality I remember from past visits to other PF Changs! The only decent thing we had was the Mongolian beef. We ordered the kids Teriyaki chicken which we all tried and it had a really off taste so we sent it back (and were told the chef agreed). The orange chicken and lo mein tasted worse than Panda Express. The only credit I'll give is the server was nice, though made very few visits to our table. Yes, it's not Mr Chow's in Beverly Hills...but I don't care because I've always liked it here, there and everywhere...and still miss their (closed) locations at the Beverly Center and Santa Monica. But PFC still makes & prepares healthier Chinese food that checks all the boxes. Believe it or not, I dined at their very 1st location nearly 30 years ago in Scottsdale, Arizona with family & friends (wow I feel older than I am ;) I've always been a PFC fan. But it's been several years since I've indulged with them because I mostly eat clean & lean...but I'm thrilled to report that all is still good & great. The service tonight was outstanding -- led by the Manager Rosa...the GM Caesar...and our sweet & lovely waitress Maria. I requested a booth with the resy and seated at the best table in the house -- angled with a view throughout the entire restaurant (and Dodger game on tv in bar area) and the exterior overlooking The River. The Host, Drew and the servers & busboys were all smiles and responsive with dropping off & clearing the plates. My Pink Lotus Cosmo tasted very good and accented with Lychee Liqueur opposed to Cointreau -- fantastico touch. However, I don't drink much alcohol so I'm a lightweight. I haven't had a cocktail/drink in 3 months and didn't even catch a slight buzz so I'm not too sure how much Kettle One was poured into the Cosmo. I haven't had a full Chinese food meal in a long time and tonight the wraps were perfect (to me at least) because everything else had so much flavor, these were toned down a notch...and assisted in altering my tastebuds. Normally I ask for some lime wedges to squeeze on top...but tonight I wasn't feelin it and the Cosmo fulfilled my citrus needs. In case you didn't know.
