I usually love PF Chang's... typically it's good food for a chain restaurant. We happened to be in South Pointe and went for lunch on a Sunday. I was really disappointed in the cleanliness of our experience. The table hadn't been wiped, the dish ware they brought out with our drinks (I'm guessing for appetizers if they're shared) had dried food stuck to it, the dish ware had a rice piece stuck on, and that was all in the first five minutes. I almost left. But I stayed, hoping for the meal to come clean appearing. Unfortunately, my dish had a large spoon inserted in it for serving. The spoon also had a significant amount of rice on it, but my dish was not a rice dish... I know that it was likely used to scoop the rice in the separate bowl before bringing to the table, but it was unsettling. I didn't touch anything close to the spoon. We had a very unsanitary meal and I hope that this never happens again. I usually enjoy their food but this left me far less eager to dine here or at the chain in the future. read more

Probably my favorite chain restauraunt. And I'm not sure why the profile says not good for kids, my 4 year old loves it, espeically when we can sit outside. It's always consistent and good. And I love the lettuce wraps. I have also always found the service to be very accomodating. We tend to go for lunch for the more reasonably priced menu, but the food doesn't seem to be different, just portion sizes and prices. If you're near Southpoint, it's probably the best place to go. read more

Well, I used to be a huge fan but laast time I went the service was great as usual but the food was terrible. My Chicken Double Pan-Fried Noodles were very hard and inedible but the Dumplings were good. I always get seated in a very out-of-the-way area of the restaurant as if they WANT to forget about our table, just luck of the draw I guess, but we asked to move this past time. The wait for the table wasn't bad but if you go on a Friday or Saturday be prepared to wait, sometimes even outside. Took my family on Friday evening which included a couple of young children. Had a great experience starting with great service from Lauren. Our entrees were really good, I had the Salt and Pepper Shrimp. We had edamame as an appetizer and I also had the Hot and Sour Soup, and both were excellent. Very good wonton soup. The waitress was kind enough to point out we should get the one large bowl instead of individual servings, very nice. Some pork dumplings along with that a bit undercooked. My son had the sea bass nothing short of excellent highly recommend truly delicious. We also had some very good Szechuan scallops, shrimp and Singapore street noodles. All very good. YIKES!!! Ok, does anybody else here think this is overpriced mediocre Chinese food? I have gone twice during lunch hours and they are completely slammed. We have waited 30-40 minutes for our food both times. I had the lo-mien, please skip it, it taste like mushy dough. Others have tried it and like it a lot, I must have higher expectations for the money. Try red bowl in chapel hill and you get the same quality and a very reasonable price, and the wait is minimal. read more

Yes, P.F. Chang's is a chain restaurant. But it's a good one! As long as you are okay with that I'm sure you'll love the food and have a great experience. It may seem pricey but if you go into it realizing that the portions are big and meant for sharing, it's a pretty moderately priced restaurant. My boyfriend and I went to the Durham location today for dinner and had amazing service. Our server, Brooke, was so attentive but not in the "leave me alone and let me eat" kind of way. I was genuinely impressed with how great of a server she was from beginning to end -bringing us extra lettuce in case we needed it for our lettuce wraps, replacing my drink before it was half way empty, and offering us drinks in to go cups for the ride home, just to give some examples. Food was great and there wasn't any delay in bringing it out. read more

Usually, I love PF Changs! But today's visit left me never wanting to go back. We arrived at 2:00 pm and was told there would be a 30-35 minute wait for the three of us. We got out table 45 minutes later and sat at our table until 4:00 pm with no food. I could understand if they were super busy, but there were so many open tables. We complained to our waitress, who kept dodging us and she said she would check on our food. We never received drink refills the whole visit. After locating a manager and complaining, we finally received our food a little after 4:00 pm. To add to it, they only gave us lunch portions, when we specifically asked for dinner portions. I will never return to this PF Chang's location. read more

The management team is the best ever; the wait staff could use some sprucing-up. The food is wonderful, but on several occasions the wait staff has gotten the order wrong, despite me making it very clear what I ordered. This results in management offering some deal, which of course, makes me feel guilty. They've hired some new individuals lately, so I'm excited at hopefully, establishing some regulars, as other folks have left the scene due to graduation/etc I assume. This is the sort of mediocre, inauthentic Chinese place I used to avoid like the plague (and to which I would have given one star only). I have instead always sought out hole-in-the-wall Chinese places with more interesting food. That was until my celiac diagnosis four years ago, which limits my diet to gluten-free. Now PF Changs is the only place I can eat Chinese food other than my own kitchen, so I give them three stars in gratitude. read more

The food, drink menu, and service are out of this world. A nice twist on Chinese food...takes it to a whole new level. I always get the ahi crisp for an appetizer and sea bass for my meal. Usually other people in my party try other things and we taste share...everything is delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. Ate here last night for my birthday with my husband and another couple. The service was absolutely horrible. It took an hour to just get our beer. Then, they forgot my husband's food & when we reminded them, it came about 30+ minutes later. We immediately ordered a to go box for it as we had already been there for over 2 hours and were done eating. They charged us for it! Obviously, we refused to pay for it. Then it took 2 tries to split the check before we stopped trying to explain it to the waiter & just paid for it all incorrectly. Terrible experience. Went here for Mother's Day dinner. The server was feet but the food was well under par. The food was not even close to the value of cost. It was very disappointing especially cause this was our first time here. Don't think we will ever return for another meal. I wouldn't recommend this love other than for appetizers and drinks. I usually love PF Changs but my last experience at this one was very disappointing. I stood in line for 20 minutes to place a take out order. I was told it would be about 20 minutes until my order would be ready. I come back 20 minutes later and had to wait to see if mine was ready. After 20 minutes the guy is looking for my order and couldn't find it so he placed it again! I notice a bag sitting on a chair the entire time I'm in there, which has been 30 minutes. The manager happens to come up and asks if I've been helped. He looks for my order and finally notices the bag in the chair and IT'S MY ORDER that has been sitting there the whole time! By now it's cold and the manager offers to remake it fresh but by now I've wasted so much time I'm not about to wait any longer! Very disappointing and no apology from the guy in charge of take outs. read more

Service: 3 of us went to PF Chang in Durham on Saturday night July 20th, 2013 around 7:15pm. We had to wait for 1 hour before we were seated. We ordered our food almost immediately, as we had made up our mind within 1 hour of waiting time. However it took almost half an hour before our food arrived at the table. The tables were set so close to each other that i could hear the conversation happening on the table right next to me. Food: For the main course we ordered 3 chicken dishes. Mine was Chang's spicy chicken, which was hardly spicy. In fact it was sweet. My wife ordered Crispy Honey Chicken and my son got Dali Chicken. All the dishes were extremely dry to eat with the the rice. Later on I came to know that you could ask extra sauce on the side for an extra charge. Each dish was about $14, and I think it was way overpriced. Overall it wasn't a very pleasant experience eating on a Saturday night. And won't be going back there, at least for a while. read more

Got take out tonight, got home and found that our Kung Pao shrimp was way too salty. So salty, almost inedible. And also uncomfortably spicy because of many many whole chile peppers in the dish. And not much else except the overly salty shrimp. Too salty is inexcusable. I can always add more salt if I want it. It leaves me feeling very thirsty and nauseated and it is bad for my high blood pressure. If I had been dining at the restaurant I would have sent the dish back. I will not go to this restaurant again. And it wasn't cheap -- what a waste. read more
