I was very pleasantly surprised by Tuk Tuk! Pretty extensive menu, prompt and friendly service, and…read moreflavorful food. I placed an order online to-go, and it was ready within 10 minutes. I walked over with my dogs, and the staff were nice enough to bring the bag of food out to me so that I didn't have to tie up the dogs to grab it. Everything was individually packed inside of the bag -- I ordered wonton soup, summer rolls with peanut sauce, and pad see ew. It was plenty of food for at least two meals (I am leaving half for tomorrow!) If you're in the area, I recommend checking out Tuk Tuk!

Hidden Gem Alert!…read more Tuk Tuk is a local hidden gem that is secretly tucked away behind Dave & Buster's. There is a walking-only path that connects the Avalon Apartment building, the Ice Centre, the AMC movie theater and Tuk Tuk. Since there is no curb-appeal given its unique location, I am sure plenty of people are missing out on this spot. That said, since you are reading this review you won't miss it! When you walk in you will quickly notice unique features like the beautiful wall art or the Grab-and-go fridges stocks with non-alcoholic (and alcoholic) beverages, as well as some ice cream treats! You will also see a self-service POS system but you can always opt to order with the extremely friendly workers instead. If you don't know what to order, they will happily steer you in the right direction. The food was 1) delicious, 2) very affordable, 3) prepared fresh very quickly! This time I got the Wonton Soup and it hit the spot! You can dine-in or order it to-go (which I did this time). The packaging was solid and kept my food warm without any leaks or issues. Overall, I will be coming back and you absolutely should give Tuk Tuk a visit! (Maybe as a meal before catching a movie at the AMC a few steps away?)

I'd say the consensus was overall positive. But we do have some critique. I had the drunken noodles with pork and mild spice. It was tasty. I enjoyed the sauce, but the pork was tough and there weren't many vegetables. The pork was better as a leftover later. I ordered this because it listed veggies. But those were sparsely placed. Perhaps I needed to ask for extra. My husband had Moo Ping very mild. He said it was tasty, but again, the pork was chewy, hard for him. The rice was so hard, he couldn't cut it with his fork. So that went uneaten. My friends went hotter and it seemed their meals were better. She had Grandma's Pad Thai. I tasted it. Yummy. He had a very hot curry that I didn't try, but he seemed to enjoy it. If I went back, I'd get her dish. They also ordered three appetizers. Edamame might have been frozen. They were mushy to me. And no salt that I detected, so bland. I didn't put enough sauce on the golden tofu, I guess. The others enjoyed it. My husband really liked it. And we all enjoyed the shrimp tempura. My friend also had a mixed drink and seemed to enjoy that. It was quiet enough that we could catch up and it's in between where we live. In all, a good experience, with both hits and misses.

What we swallowed: *THAI EGG ROLLS: These were tasty. *FRIED TOFU *POTSTICKERS *TOM KHA: Very good. We really liked the fresh veggies in the soup. *DRUNKEN NOODLE; There was something about this dish we couldn't place our fingers on that tasted off. *THREE TASTE CHICKEN: Crunchy, breaded chicken with sauce and steamed broccoli. *RED CURRY BEEF: We didn't realize there was eggplant in this dish. *DEEP FRIED FISH IN GINGER SAUCE: So I ordered this dish specifically because it said 'deep fried' but it did not come out that way. May a quick sear but not deep fried. *MANGO STICKY RICE: This was really good. We would come here for this alone. Our favorite was the tom kha and the mango sticky rice. The other dishes were OK. Still on the search for a thicker curry...

The dining room where we enjoyed our delicious noodles and beef was so elegantly decorated. I plan on going back and getting more pictures as my phone was getting ready to die. I couldn't take pictures but anyways it was a wonderful experience. I plan on going back the gentleman that owned it. I can't say his name, but he was very respectful honorable and explained the meals to us as it was our first time and he saved us quite a bit of money explaining to us that the order of noodles and beef was big portion and that we did not need to order any appetizers, which was wonderful of him to point out.
