Pad Thai

From the outside, it doesn't look too impressive but it does catch your eye because you can smell it as you walk by. The parking lot nearby is very small so we actually park at Sloans Lake and take a stroll around the park and walk over. We came at 8 pm and we thought we would be done by 9pm. We were very wrong. They are super busy from dine in and takeout. It was nonstop until they closed. It took a while for our food to arrive but we were understanding. The food was amazing. I highly recommend ordering the wings. It has some of the best sauce on a wing you can find. Definitely a favorite of mines. The pad Thai, green curry, and pineapple fried rice all had very strong flavorings that hits your taste buds. We got everything in a medium and there was a kick. If you aren't a familiar with Thai Spice, ask before because it can be crazy hot. Very happy that it's a quick five minute walk from Sloans Lake. Great meal after dragon boat practice!

I love this place - it's extremely consistent and the perfect winter meal. Thrilled that it exists on my street because I think we've gotten it every Saturday for the past two months and our frequency is only going to go up as it gets colder. Pad see ew, paneng curry, crab wontons, spring rolls and chicken satay are our regulars with a mild + spice level.

AP1. Ap Combo - A round, divided plate contains Thai appetizers such as fried fish or chicken skewers, fried wontons, steamed dumplings, and fresh spring rolls with visible vegetables and shrimp. The plate is placed on a wooden table. Below, a smaller plate holds three small containers of dipping sauces, including soy sauce and peanut sauce. The presentation suggests a shared appetizer platter at a Thai restaurant.

BEST THAI FOOD IN DENVER (that I've found). Every time we are even remotely close to Sloan's lake, we make a stop at US Thai. All of their entrees are so good. Our go to's are the pad Thai, drunken noodles, Thai fried rice, basil fried rice, panaang curry, and green curry. We tried the app combo and it was just ok. The spring roll was mostly lettuce. Can't recommend this place enough! Get your food to go and enjoy it with a drink from Joyride for a perfect date!

US Thai knows their spice! The pad thai was generally great, but I had to deduct a star because although the spice level (I got Medium) was great, there wasn't much other flavor. I expect at a Medium that the dish is balanced with the other sweet/salty/sour flavors. Other than that, the proportion of noodle+meat+veggies was good and the chicken and noodles were cooked right. We had our order to-go and I had a longer journey home and it was still delectable when I finally got to it. I will definitely still be back to try their other dishes.

This is a great and affordable Thai restaurant. We enjoyed everything we ordered. There was only one server working, so service may be slow at times. The dining room was cold and drafty, so keep that in mind when dining in.

5/5: we really enjoyed our meal at US Thai Cafe! There are two seating areas with a central kitchen splitting them. Our waitress was friendly and prompt although she was busy. The pad see ew with beef was very good and portion size was perfect. Penang curry with also a delicious dish with quite a kick (we got the mild + spice level). Definitely recommend!

Tom yum soup. So good.

A small little restaurant but super busy for dine in and take out! A friend recommended this restaurant and I'll definitely be back. For starters, the prices of the dishes are so affordable for 2024. I don't have to spend $20 a dish like other Thai restaurants. The plates are decent sized but a little on the smaller size but definitely worth it for $11.25. We got pad see ew and pad Thai. The noodles were cooked to the right consistency. The pad Thai wasn't overly sweet. If you like soup and sour tasting flavors, the Tom yum soup was so perfect. We sat in the back room where it was pretty toasty and stuffy. So if you have any nice places to be later, make sure you have a different pair of clothes or jacket because you're going to smell like noodles.

Green curry - The image shows a clear plastic container filled with green curry, featuring a creamy, yellowish-green sauce. Visible ingredients include pieces of vegetables and herbs, with some oil or liquid separation on the surface. The container is placed on a light-colored surface, and part of a black object is visible in the background.

I ordered green curry with chicken and pad see ew with tofu to go and was impressed with US Thai Cafe! The prices were reasonable, and while the portions weren't huge for the price, I still feel like the food was a good value. I'm generally tough on Thai food, but I really loved the flavor of both dishes. I usually go with a spice level around a 3 or 4 out of 5, but based on other reviews, I went with mild+ here. And I'm glad I did, because even mild+ had quite a kick!

Chicken Larb - A close-up of chicken larb, a Thai salad with chopped chicken, red onions, green herbs, and seasonings, served on a white plate. A small dish of chili sauce with chopped red chili peppers is visible in the background, along with some lettuce and a wooden table surface.

Great food in a humble setting. Can be hard to get a table, as well as parking. No liquor license, but I've seen people bring in alcohol.

The fish curry is really tasty. My only issue was finding a place to park. Unless I missed a parking lot, lol. Cute place

Ask the Community - US Thai Cafe

Did they change up management earlier this year or something? Arguably still the best Thai food in Denver but portions got smaller and seemingly they've toned it down spice wise...

Are they open for dine in yet?

No... But you can take your food to joyride or there are picknic tables on the street

Is US Thai Cafe byob friendly since they do not sell alcohol?

No. There is no byob in Colorado at this time.

We ordered takeout while staying at a nearby hotel, and the owner thoughtfully provided extra plates with a sincere smile--an appreciated and memorable touch. We ordered the Pad Basil Stir-Fry, Pad Khing (extra chicken), and Pineapple Fried Rice (extra chicken)--all were outstanding. I wish I could have added photos. Portions were on the smaller side, especially for the price--we spent around $60 for two entrées and an appetizer, which felt a bit steep for the quality. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated from the outside, which set high expectations going in. However, the service didn't match. Our server rarely checked on us, even though we were seated right next to the counter. At one point, we also felt a bit rushed. We were repeatedly asked if we were done, despite it not being close to closing time and there being plenty of open tables. We were still eating--literally had one spring roll left--and a staff member tried to take the plate after we had already said we were finishing it. There are definitely a few things that could be improved. Overall, not the best Thai food experience in Denver, unfortunately.

Soo perfectly balanced with soft noodles, tender chicken, and the right amount of veggies and herbs. Basil fried rice was flavorful but light, fresh and came out so hot. Absolutely a winner!! Server was friendly but not chatty, fit our vibe perfectly. Definitely a no frills restaurant, but still nice for an evening out - def seems to be super popular for take out too!
