I had Mother's Day brunch here with some friends. Oh boy, that was a mistake. It was filled to capacity. Nevertheless, I am glad I visited this nice family restaurant. The friendliest of people work here. Food took a long time in coming but this was because of the mother's day brunch. Several cups of tea later, I had my two nicely buttered toast, well done eggs and fries. It was very filling and satisfying. The restaurant was nicely decorated for this event. The cheery and best part of the dining experience was the bag of Lindor chocolates. Thank you P&M. I will be back for a visit. Overall, a resounding yes to going here again. This was my first time ordering here and it was pretty good. The 4 stars is because their fish and chips is really good (more detail to follow) and the chicken fingers. My disappointment came with the burger which was my main reason for ordering from here. Pros: Fish and chips were perfectly cooked. Fries were just the right amount of salty and seasoned. The fish pieces were big pieces and fried to prefect crispness. Chicken fingers are well season and juicy. I was happy the breading wasn't thick. Con: I ordered the Zeus burger with extra feta and taziki sauce. The burger was a store bought meat and tasted like it was old. Th3 bun wasn't toasted so it was really soggy. Overall a disappointment. So they do have more pros than cons so I would say try them out. Definitely order the fish and chips. Till next time. Xoxo happy eats! read more

We were out by the airport this morning and decided to look for a new breakfast place. Glad I found this place! Very homestyle feel and a warm greeting at the door. Service was a bit disjointed but they were balancing multiple large tables so I dont think that it was reflective of a typical day. The breakfast menu was an average size and had pretty much anything you could want. I ordered the Canadian omelette, my bf ordered the Lumberjack. My omelette was absolutely massive and surprisingly light for it being made with 5 eggs. The cheddar seemed more like processed cheese, but it stayed melty so I have no complaints. The meal came with coffee so actually quite a great value overall. This is absolutely my favourite kind of restaurant. Simple and family owned. I feel like I would really enjoy their lunch/dinner menu, so we will be back. read more

Have enjoyed this breakfast place for years, my children & I. Location 4/5: it's in a nice central area at Weston Rd & Lawrence Ave W. Parking is accessible (in the grocery parking lot that's connected with this restaurant) & it's free, if you park on the street there are parking meters available at cost of course. Wheelchair accessible & also accessible by public transit. This is a very clean, comfortable, diverse & nice family owned restaurant & they're always very appreciative of your business! Cost 3.5/5: It's affordable, but not as low cost as other places that offers Breakfast Specials! So you're looking at the least cost for a meal being $$. OK FOLKS THIS IS IT! Awesome breakfast joint! I found this place through yelp as I am the go to person for restaurants at work now as always ;) So I took them here for a massive, juicy and great breakfast. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted at the door and the lady was very nice and friendly as she sat us down. There lunch menu is totally different then their breakfast but you can get breakfast all day I think. Thing to note would be that you would pay extra $1.99 for time 2 to 5 PM for the breakfast menu. Their prices are decent for the portions and quality they provide. I order their Mediterranean Omelette which was made with 4 eggs, fried tomatoes, spinach and feta cheese... I was worried about the feta as some place out too much of that and then the not the best. But here all the ingredients were the right portions and mixed very well together. The omelette was huge and very tasty. The Omelette comes with potatoes which were done nicely; you will also get toast and coffee/tea with the same meal. All this for $13 to $15 before taxes. The service was slendid and quick. Entire team working at the restaurant was very nice and multiple people asked us if we enjoyed and if the food was nice, some of them were chefs. The restaurant was clean. Overall very good place to have a nice big breakfast!!! read more

What a great restaurant! Very friendly staff, large portions and not too expensive. I tried the chicken souvlaki dinner with rice, garlic bread, potatoes and salad. My favourite was the rice. I also checked out their breakfast menu and plan on trying it one day. You will not be disappointed coming here for a meal. read more

Greeted by the warmest lady at the front who came around to give me a menu when I asked for takeout. She didn't rush me while I was choosing and ended up with fish & chips (~$14) and a gyros on a pita (~$7). I waited maybe 10 mins, but was surprised to see one of the cooks hand me the freshly prepared food at the front, who was also friendly. I didn't see how the fish and chips looked, but the proportion of meat inside the pita was more than expected! I wish I had the chance to eat inside the restaurant, maybe next time! read more

Wow size portions vs prices! Great prices for those behemoth sized plates. Been there twice now during a week day lunch. Got the souvlaki on a pita twice and had left overs twice! Tried their fries, perogies, Caesar salad and chicken tenders today. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Nothing beats a great deal except great service and they have it too! Mary had our table today and she was friendly but informative with a homey feel to her service! Pay at cash when youre done and be ready to have left overs or share! Will definitely be back! read more

The old location the new location doesn't matter they didn't miss a beat when they moved to the new place. The food is fantastic the service is good welcoming and friendly. Absolutely no complaints buddy had his "standard breakfast" of a pemeal sandwich, he said it was the best he has ever had. I had eggs and sausage it was just as good as it always is. Honestly is affordable extremely affordable. The coffee is great quality the place is clean the food is hot and fresh. If you are anywhere near the neighborhood you should seek this place out. Once a small hole in the wall its now a great place with great food. The staff likes to crack jokes with the patrons and with each other you feel like you are in a place with people who love what they do and take incredible pride. It's a breakfast try it you can't go wrong ! read more

This is probably most likely my favourite spot to have breakfast in the west end. I highly recommend getting the hungry man with the pancake. If your really looking for something to satisfy your sweet tooth, they can totally help you out with that! The Belgian waffle is to die for, with ice cream, reel fruit, strawberry syrup, and whipped cream. The waffle itself is delicious. Totally recommend. read more

Came here because of the stars and the reviews (because even if what I want is simple I still want the best). I wasn't planning on writing a review here because all I wanted was a simple Greek Salad with Souvkaki and that generally isn't hard to screw up. But oh my!!!! This salad was fantastic the Souvlaki (Pork) was so juicy and tender and the portion size was phenomenal. Keep note it isn't cheap if you're looking for cheap and fast it's a restaurant not a fast food joint. I will definitely come here again and now I need to try out their breakfast. read more

I've been coming here for years and their new location is fantastic! Many people may remember the smaller location which was tight for space but this newly renovated, much larger space and some new key additions have this family restaurant up to date. New key feature is their mini bar which is Perfect to catch a game or two. Also the addition of another dine in side is perfect to feed their fan base. Food is fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly and the place was kept very neat and clean. This establishment has been around since 1970 and doesn't seem to be leaving! read more

Very average place with very mediocre food. The staff is really friendly, which was a nice way to be welcomed and catered to. We ordered the halibut (grilled) salad and the halibut fish and chips. The food arrived quickly. My grilled halibut was very thin and looked overcooked. One bite of the fish verified that. The fish and chips were decent- the batter was very crispy, light, and well seasoned- but the fish was bland and overcooked. The fries were drenched in oil, which made the meal difficult to eat and gave us stomach pains. I probably wouldn't come here again. There are several food options in the area (not the greatest ones, I know) and this is nothing special. Perhaps their Greek food is better? I'll never know. read more

Over the years, my boy friend has been taking me out for breakfast and dinner every week end. For breakfast we usually goes to Wimpy's on Bathurst and Sheppard or P & M Restaurant. This morning my boy friend took me to P & M Restaurant I am a member of ZEAL WELLNESS and so I always have my Zeal Shaker with little ice in it. Surprisingly at the entrance door this morning I was told I was not allowed to bring my Zeal Shaker or if I were to be seated I would have to leave my shaker at the entrance door. My boy friend told the lady I only had ice and a little water in it but the lady insisted its against their policy to bring anything in there. Well... my boy friend and I were there prior this week end and never was I told that my shaker was not allowed in there. We then left and went to Wimpy's instead. We will never ever go to P & M Restaurant for breakfast ever again. I find it rude for someone telling me that I couldn't bring my Zeal container inside. Horrible experience with my waitress. We arrived and were seated at our table. Our waitress introduced herself as Tracy. She was very unamused, and looked angry the whole time we dealt with her. She gave my wife dirty looks and said she "asks too many questions" when we asked when our food would come she said "it will come when it comes stop asking questions." I asked to speak to a manager or owner but was told off. We will never be coming here again. read more

So I found this place by fluke simply by googling "best breakfast places in toronto"...google did not let me down that is for sure. I can honestly say I am a regular here now. Reason being is the breakfast is great, but i LOVE LOVE LOVE the service. My mom and I always leave feeling so positive because of how friendly the staff is. Not only do they recognize us every time but they always make us feel like a VIP. You can feel the family vibe and the quality of the food. It is not some fine dining snobby brunch place, but it is humble and always hits the spot. I am so happppppy I have this place to go to considering I am a huge breakfast fan. read more

The rice was actually a lot better than I expected. I know it's just a side, but rice at times from other Greek places isn't that great, and this was much better. The potato layer feels fluffy and sandwiches thinly sliced eggplant, so the aubergine is rather pronounced. The ground beef mixture wasn't overly spiced and even the bechamel sauce was a thin layer, so it toasts the top but doesn't saturate the slice. Ultimately, it's not heavy so you could get through a full portion. A flaming saganaki ($19.95), the pan fried kefalotiri cheese, is a staple in Canadian Greek restaurants. It seems touristy to order but there's something endearing about setting a piece of cheese on fire and yelling "opa"! For me, the dish is more for the atmosphere than taste. Pantheon pan fries the cheese well, so it develops a crust even prior to flambeeing and serves it as a thick gooey slice. If only the accompanying bread wasn't so dry and mealy, a good saganaki calls for a better complement. Almost all their mains arrive with a sizeable Greek side salad that's smartly served first containing ample amounts of crumbled feta and some tomato, cucumbers, and onion over romaine. Their dressing is different, tamer and while still acidic there's a sweetness to it. Not sure, but perhaps they use a red wine vinegar and then blend the ingredients together so it's better combined? With the fishkebob souvlaki ($36.95) I was expecting fish, but it's really a seafood kebob containing shrimp, calamari and mushroom. It's cooked well with a faint grilled aroma, very tender, and lightly salted. Sadly, my steamed vegetables were merely carrots and didn't have the delicious garlicky green beans included on my friends' plates. Luckily, there was plenty with the moussaka so I could augment mine. At least there was an ample portion of roasted lemon potatoes that were soft and fluffy with a refreshing pronounced citrus finish. Pantheon doesn't skimp on the lamb chops that arrive with the entrée. And if you can't decide on what protein you'd like, their menu also offers some as add-ons. The lamb chop by the piece ($11.95) was bit gamier than I'd like but was cooked to a perfect medium doneness. A complimentary honey cake arrives for the table and is almost like having baklava in cake form. Just watch out, as the moist crumbly cake is difficult to pick up with a fork. Don't waste a bit of this delicious dessert, just use your fingers.

Me and some family members were in the area, and decided to give it a try. We were greeted and seated promptly and then, for the longest time ... nothing. As it turned out, we'd spend a lot longer at this restaurant than we had anticipated. After about 20 minutes, a kind and apparently exhausted waitress appeared, so we ordered drinks and saganaki to start. 10 minutes later, our drinks appeared, and we ordered our main courses then. Although the menu gave prices for wine by the glass, half litre or bottle, we were told that they don't have enough wine to offer any more than a glass at a time. Strange, and unexpected. Eventually, the saganaki (Greek flaming cheese) arrived, and it was really, really good - a generous triangle of grilled, flaming cheese, easily split between the three of us. It was served with some odd bread, which resembled buttered and toasted hot dog or burger buns. This helped take the edge off our hunger as we waited for our main course. And waited. Looking at the time, I noticed that we had already spent over 60 minutes in the restaurant, which was extremely chilly on a cold winter's evening. Many customers, including us, wore their coats throughout the evening. Apparently, the restaurant dining area is heated only by two electric fire places. Our waitress came out and let us know that we had to wait because my daughter's order of octopus was taking a while. At this point, we had already committed to being here, so we had no choice but to see it through. Finally, the food came out. My daughter's octopus was, sadly, overcooked and tough, but still tasty, and the lemon roasted potatoes were excellent. It was all edible food, though, but not up to our expectations. I hate to give any place a lowly, two-star review. I had hoped for much more, because there is so much about Milo's to raise one's hopes: it's not a big chain, but locally, family-run; it has an appealing and timeless Mediterranean decor; and the menu offers many interesting Greek choices. A few small changes would be an upgrade: better bread, some additional staff and a few space heaters would be a good start. Greece inflation has varied from -4.6 (2013) to +26.6% (1974), averaging 7.8%/yr, with cumulative increase 1974-2026 of 6.75x, so a 3x increase in the price of Metaxa 7-star seems like a deal!). I mentioned to the server that the Horiatiki salad was the best I've had since living Greece! Greek restaurants where I'm from (San Diego, California) use Roma tomato, small feta crumbles (so little feta it's just "feh", not imported from Greece), no oregano, cheap olive oil. I opened the container it came in and grabbed the pita and a bunch of meat immediately fell onto the table. Likewise, the wrap was so haphazardly closed up and packaged that it was impossible to eat that way. I wound up using a plastic fork for most of it. That problem aside, this is one seriously tasty concoction. The pork pieces boast a crispy, crusty texture that I found irresistible. I could eat that stuff all day. The other components are equally good, too. I'm sure I'll return to Aristos but next time I'll forgo the pita.
