Gyro Dinner- Delicious
Bryan R.

First Time eating here and we were very impressed. Family got the gyro wraps and I got the gyro dinner. Ordered through skip and arrived on time. The food was excellent and we will most definitely order again

Decided try as both mom and boyfriend had recommended. Would have to agree that this place makes perhaps one of the best gyro in the area next to souvlaki hut passing the border but they both stand alone in merits. This place is cute and appears to be family owned and houses cute decor. Well lit and the meat is cooked for all to see the freshness. Cooked to perfection. All the flavors paired in my wrap could be tasted individually even if I had added the hot peppers and hot sauce. We are looking at this place being a tradition before going to bingo lol

Found this little hidden gem on yelp and I'm extremely glad that I decided to give it a try. The overall restaurant was nice and clean which is always appealing to me. The staff was very friendly and welcoming which made my visit here a great one. They were very helpful when asked for recommendations. The serving sizes were good, you got a good amount for what you paid for. The food was nice and fresh ... still hot by the time I drove home. Everything tasted extremely good, nothing was dry or bland. Their special sauce is definitely worth a try ! I will definitely be returning !

i came here a few months ago because I was looking for a place to get an authentic gyro close to work. The place is a little hard to find, tucked away behind a gas station, but those kinds of places are usually the best, right? The guy working there, I think the owner, was very friendly. I ordered a pork gryo to go. It's nothing like Alexandro's on the Queens Quay, but I was pleasantly surprised that is was pretty good. I took half the Gyro home to my Greek friend and he said he actually thought it was delicious. It wasn't too greasy. I also took home some baklava, but it was just average. Nothing special really. Obviously, nothing like what they have in Greece. Today, my coworkers was in the area and decided to bring me back some Greek fries. When I opened the box, the amount of fries and feta were pretty pinch. They looked pretty average to me. Again, nothing like Alexandros, but when you start to get to the end, they do get better. Probably because you're soaking up all the oil and feta (the best part). The fries were pretty soggy, but I like soggy fries, so that's me. Krazzy Gyro is a pretty good option if you are craving a gyro. I don't think there's other Greek places like it in the area, besides the typical chains.

Chicken salad with hummus - delicious

Delicious. Fresh. Reasonably priced. Super underrated establishment. The meat is not fatty and it's perfectly seasoned and juicy. They have gyros, platters, burgers, chicken with rice... service is always excellent. Right now doing take out during COVID but they have a dining area regularly.

15 bucks for this is not worth it. The taste is ok. The device was quick. I went around d09:30 PM on a Saturday just 30 mins before the store close. Probably that's why I got this. Not satisfied when compared with other gyro places in same area.

This was my first time here and the staff were friendly for the most part. I came during lunch so I was glad that they were quick to get the food completed quickly. The food was okay, but it wasn't the best that I have had. I will come back and try some of the other items on the menu but for now it is an okay place to go.

Located on Dundas off the 427 and barely visible behind a gas station and auto station. This little gem has the best gyros in the West end. When I entered I was surprised to see a fairly modern environment and seating area. I ordered the gyro combo which included a side of your choice and a drink for less than $10 taxes included. I had the mix of pork and chicken with all the normal toppings and greek fries. The meat was cut fresh from the spit and pita was grilled warm. A generous amount of meat! Greek fries were also nice and crispy with some feta and herbs. The only thing they don't have is lamb. I really like Louis meats and Messini's in Greek town...but in the West I give it to Krazzy Gyro.

I have ordered food from George's Greek Grill quite a few times just never had a chance to write a review. I love Greek food and order from Greek restaurants very often. George's Greek Grill is one of my favorite places. The portions are great. The meat of seasoned perfectly. In my opinion George's has the best Greek potatoes around. I can eat just a bowl of potatoes by them selves with nothing else. If you are looking for great tasting Greek food. Great service. The restaurant seating area itself is tiny and would be better to take out food if you're planning to buy food for more than 2 people. We got 2 orders of the Greek Grill Chicken, 1 order of the Chicken Delight, and 1 order of the Gyro. I thought I wouldn't be full after eating just a pita, but all three of these pita's were huge and stuffed with the meat and toppings. They are very generous on portion sizes! We also got a side of fries and onion rings (highly recommend - they are crispy and salty!). The flavours were great and I am definitely going to come back.

It was obvious the chicken had been precooked and reheated. We mentioned this to the waiter, who seemed irritated by our feedback but eventually took the dishes back and had them redone. The salad was okay but could've used a better dressing. We were both disappointed, especially since we used to be longtime customers. Sadly, this experience sealed the deal, we won't be returning! Honestly, it doesn't come as a surprise. Even during the pandemic, their takeout was overpriced and subpar. They've changed the place and unfortunately, not for the better. Service isn't great either.

MIDIA (mussels) were old and funky tasting and 5 or 6 of them were closed, so clearly dead before cooking. Only ate about half. But the sauce was lovely - low acid tomato sauce, slightly sweet and bright with a squeeze of fresh lemon amd sprinkle of feta. If the mussels had only been fresh it would have been a great dish. SAGANAKI (pan seared sheep's cheese) was the star of the night. Brought to the table hot and sizzling in the pan, with a fresh squeeze of lemon it was salty, crispy, chewy, and delicious! If I ever come back, I'll just order this with a glass of wine and be done. PATZARIA ME SKORTHO (sautéed beets with tzatziki) was nice but I think the beets were boiled or steamed, not sautéed. If they had been sautéed or roasted, it would have been a lot better. Also, the presentation was sloppy. As noted in other reviews, the service was extremely slow. We had to ask several times for more drinks (wine and water). The staff seemed overwhelmed and inexperienced, except the head waiter who was trying to be everywhere while also directing the rest of the serving team who all seemed confused and out of their depth. Decor was nice - clean white walls. Overall a mediocre experience. Food was ok, service was slow. Might stop in for the saganaki & wine again but not for dinner.

The inside didn't look that nice and the place looked old. The souvlaki dinner plate came with chicken, salad, rice, potatoes, three cold pita bread slices and tzatziki sauce. Minus one point as the chicken was dry even though they were large pieces. It wasn't even hot - I thought it was cooked-to-order. The portion of the salad was half the container and it had shredded feta cheese that I've never had before. Usually it's crumbled feta cheese. They followed instructions were all sauces were put to the side. Oh, the tzatziki sauce was really good. If it's homemade, kudos to them. I could use a lot more on the dry chicken and the tender rice. The three potato pieces were another hit. One bite wasn't enough. I wish they gave me more. Overall, I believe there aren't many Greek places around this neighbourhood, so if you are craving Greek, like I was then it's ok. It's a bit pricey. Would I go back? Not sure. Maybe try their gyro wrap as it looks good on other Yelpers' photos. Tried a new takeout place through this crazy pandemic. Sorry ate before taking photos.

The food was delicious! Quite a big portion and stuffed with juicy chicken, fresh fries, onion, lettuce, tzaziki and tomatoes. It was so fresh and flavourful I couldn't even believe this place ever got bad reviews. I love the addition of the fries too, they really make a difference to your pita! I paid $13 for a chicken souvlaki on a pita and a diet coke. Considering this is about 2 small meals for me I don't mind the price at all. I'd like to try the baklava in addition to my next order :)

This was one of the only places a guy that I was seeing when I was in my early twenties and I would go, late at night, when we knew we wouldn't catch anyone else we knew out. The food was predictable, always - and not in a bad way - it just hit the spot after a night of drinking, or when you are hungover. The salad will forever have too much dressing and will be the unhealthiest thing but the souvlaki here was honestly the most shocking thing. Mind you I have not been in six and a half or seven years so don't take my word for it, but for a place to be around this long and still have loyal customers - they're really doing something right, it's not just sheer luck so give it a go! There is zero ambiance or date night feel here, okay. Don't take your girl unless you've been married over ten years. It's boys or girls night out material only. haha

Been here a few times, but never wrote a review. It's my second time here for Taste of Oakville…read moresince their menu had interesting dishes. For my appetizer, I got a green salad which had a nice dressing to it, tiny tomatoes, and tiny cut up figs. I would have liked bigger pieces of figs (if you are going to include it in the menu). For the main dish, I got rainbow trout which came out smaller than I imagined. It should be cooked well since it was a thin piece too. The spinach rice was a nice side and the salad had a nice colour to the overall dish. My partner's short ribs were not tender and it was hard to chew on. He said the meat didn't fall off the bone. For dessert, the walnut cake was moist, however the pistachio ice cream looked and tasted fake. Service was pretty good. The washroom at the back, near the kitchen was clean. I did remember it being good and portions being generous. Last night we visited the Oakville location. We planned to eat a few other treats later in the night so we decided to just split the pork souvlaki meal. When ordering I said we were just going to order one meal and share. When the food came, to my surprise, there were 2 plates, each with our one meal portioned out! I was so surprised. I didn't even ask them to do this. As you can see from the picture, they were basically 2 full meals almost. I couldn't even finish mine! I took some home. My bf cleaned his plate but he was defs not still hungry. He also mentioned how he really liked it ( he's Greek) and it felt healthy. I agreed. I loved the rice and tzatziki. The potatoes were such a generous serving and it was the perfect amount of salad. The pork was the slightest bit a tad dry but I'm not complaining at all. It's my one little critique. When the bill came, there was a $3 charge for a "split meal". However, we weren't bothered by this because we both ate and were satisfied for $30. It's rare to find that anywhere these days at a sit down resto. We are for sure coming back.
