Showed up around noon on a Saturday and had a bit of a wait. Was quoted 30-35 mins but ended up waiting closer to 45-50 which was no big deal for us. Hosts and servers were smiling and kind from the moment you walked in to the moment you left which was so nice. Honestly it felt like we were eating at a friend's house, not a restaurant. The place is clean, airy, and such a positive vibe we already can't wait to go back. Food was really good. My daughter loved her pancakes, they were buttery & fluffy and just overall a really solid pancake. $7 for her pancakes was also a steal. They gave her so much food she ate off of it for the rest of the week. Eggs Benedict was flavorful, eggs were cooked perfectly, the English muffin was still crispy and the Hollandaise sauce was perfect. My mom and husband really enjoyed their bowls. Both were fresh and vibrant with flavor. My husband really enjoyed the pesto on his and said it's some of the best he's had. Pieces of his steak were chewy but for the most part it pretty much melted in your mouth. We enjoyed that the orange juice was fresh squeezed and that everything was so reasonably priced. They even offered a military discount. I wish they weren't so far from us because I'd go every week.

I'll be honest, I hesitated trying this place because of the over saturation of brunch spots in Texas and really everywhere. I was surprised though at the quality and taste of the food. Their ingredients are fresh and they have a pretty good selection. Only thing I would change is their avocado toast, maybe add a build your own toast. Romeo and April were very friendly and helpful, awesome staff. My matcha was delicious as well as the Nutella banana waffle! They also have turkey bacon which is awesome because I love bacon but can't eat pork. The cafe looks like it belongs in Paris, very bright and sunny. It's the cutest spot and I will be back to try more of their menu.

Delicious! I'm so excited this is across the street from us . We decided to try something new and it did not disappoint . The staff here is so friendly and had great customer service skills . The chairs can use some cleaning but the food was so good we will be back . The Nutella banana crepe was my daughter's favorite . There's so many options to choose from.

A welcome addition to the Stone Oak area! Our waitress, Linda (Who was fantastic, by the way) explained that this is the first franchise outside of Canada, right here in San Antonio. I wondered when I saw on the Menu, the Poutine Skillet--which I ordered. The interior is open and very greeting with shades of yellow and other welcoming colors. As I mentioned, our waitress, Linda was very helpful in pointing out menu items and sharing a bit about the restaurant. The poutine was fantastic, a perfect blend of flavors with the poutine adding a subtle nuance of texture and flavor. My wife loved her shrimp and grits. The shrimp were tender and the grits had an added crunch with added onions and peppers. A great brunch spot in north San Antonio. Gary J. Bertsch, Chaplain, USAF (Ret) Sent from my iPad

Pur & Simple was perhaps too similar to an IHOP for me and simply put, did not purely impress. Now, in fairness, I did order a simple egg, bacon and biscuit breakfast so not a thrilling meal to begin with. The potatoes side was cold and lacked any flavor. Wifey ordered eggs Benedict and it was just , ok. Waitstaff and hostess were friendly and provided good service. The inside is clean, comfortable and definitely looks the part. Unfortunately, the meals are too common and do not set themselves apart. I did however, enjoy the yellow bird hot sauce, which I will buy the next time we visit HEB.

In a bit of an odd location rather than a standalone, P&S doesn't lack on insta worthy shots (both in food presentation and decor). The usual trendy vibes, with the usual brunch foods. What stood out to me, and made the adventure worth it, were the service and variety of gluten free options. We happened to have the pleasure of being the only ones sitting outside, but that didn't mean we were forgotten! We received excellent and friendly service which made us hang around for a little longer than we normally would have. Many items on the menu are either gluten free or can be made gluten free and the server seemed to have good knowledge about what contained what, always a good sign. While I can't rave about the food (I know, there are only so many ways you can mix up avocado, toast, and potatoes), drinks were great and I wouldn't have a problem coming back to try something different!

Delightful open space, lots of greenery. Very clean and crisp environment. A bit noisy, but you can have a conversation. Extensive menu of both food and beverages. Many seasonal special items. i went with an angus benedict - very tasty with wonderfully seasoned sautéed mushrooms. Fresh taste and delightful appearance. Hubby chose the pastrami on rye and was very happy. Both of us enjoyed the large serving of fried potatoes. We both had some leftovers. Orange juice was fresh squeezed. The iced tea was fresh- brewed and fabulous! Nya took very good care of us and brought more tea twice and even a to-go cup. Her helper brought a new glass of tea and noticed I had lime - she proceeded to go get me a fresh lime section for the 2nd glass! We were greeted upon entering and told there was a short wait - we were seated within 10 minutes. The military discount was appreciated.

Food was delicious! Seasonal pancakes looked so pretty it was hard to sink the knife on them. Steak Benedicts could have more flavor. Nice ambiance and service was friendly.

Had never heard of this place but friends took us there. Great place! We had to wait for 30 minutes to get a table, so points off for that. I can also report that the syrup- even though it is in a maple syrup bottle- it is not pure maple syrup. But the syrup was good. Pure maple is an upcharge. We had breakfast and everything was good. Food was fresh and service was good. Friends bought us breakfast so can't say for sure, but seems like it was a good value for the price. Recommended.

Santa Fe Benedict

Was curious about this restaurant chain from Canada that recently branched out to TX. My friend and I were in the area so we stopped by for breakfast. Ambiance is simple, clean, and modern. I liked the indoor plant decor hanging from the ceiling. Servers were friendly and took our drink orders right away. I was craving coffee, so tried a hot banana coconut latte and my friend got a cappuccino. These drinks were ok, but not the best. For breakfast, I had the Santa Fe Benedict (black beans, peppers & corn blend, avocado, red onions, tomatoes, cheddar and sriracha) and my friend ordered the Chicago Benedict, which was recommended by the server. The prices are a little on the higher side, but the portions are large and filling. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and nicely seasoned. My friend and I enjoyed our meals as the poached eggs were cooked perfectly and served with fresh ingredients. They offer healthier options and have a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes as well. I would return to try other dishes.

Ray's Extravaganza

Stopped in at Pür & Simple for an early morning breakfast on my way to Austin and was pleasantly surprised. It's a cute, upscale diner with a fresh and modern feel -- definitely a step above your typical breakfast stop. I was recommended the Ray's Extravaganza Bowl, and it did not disappoint. The spicy hollandaise was so tasty and really brought everything together. The bowl itself was hearty and filling, perfect fuel for a road trip. I also ordered a smoothie, which was refreshing and a great add-on. Service was lovely -- friendly, attentive, and welcoming even first thing in the morning. Overall, I would absolutely stop here again if I'm in the area. Great food, great service, and a really charming breakfast spot.

A pleasant surprise! After working out, we were starving and looking for a good brunch spot near the gym and found this spot. Plenty of parking and very clean esthetics is the first impression. As I walked in, the interior was very bright and cute. The menu had ample breakfast/brunch/lunch options! They had a seasonal menu with the carrot cake stack and I had to get it! I also wanted something savory so I got the Nordic Benedict. Everything came out super fresh and fast. Portions were generous and everything tasted amazing. The poached eggs were perfect and the potatoes were delicious. And of course, that carrot stack pancake was amazing! It was basically layered carrot cake with less sweetness topped with a fluffy cream cheese maple cream. This is a must get! Definitely will come back!

We were seated by Cash and our waiter was Israel this visit. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had some nice cocktails with our brunch that were well made. I had the salmon avocado toast which was a very generous serving and delicious. Will definitely be back!

It was popping when we got there, so we had about a 25 minute wait. It took them a little while to take our order, but once they did, the food was made and delivered in a timely manner. I, of course, got the cinnamon roll pancakes short stack, and they were absolutely divine. No need for butter or syrup, they were perfectly delicious as is, cinnamon swirl included?!? and icing glaze as well. Another favorite was the chile relleno omelette - the poblano pepper on top added some smokiness along with the steak, and the sour cream and cheese cooled it down. Bacon and canadian bacon on point. A solid breakfast spot! Don't miss out on the cinnamon roll pancakes! *Cinnamon Roll pancakes, short stack *Cowboy Breakfast: eggs, biscuits with country gravy, bacon *Chile Relleno Omelette: fajita steak, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, & cheese, topped with ranchero sauce, sour cream, green onion, feta cheese *Pancakes & Eggs: 2 cinnamon roll pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage *Sides: grilled ham, bacon, hash browns

I ordered the BLAT sandwich but instead of bacon, I replaced with cheese. This came with chips & a cookie. So ended up ordering a side of their poblano soup. I should have asked what the spice level on that was as it was a bit too spicy for me. The sandwich was delicious! The chips were yummy & wow that cookie was amazing! Very rich, did not skimp out on the size of it nor the chocolate chips! For drink I had a cappuccino which was okay. There is a self-serve water & tea station right before the dining area including lemon wedges which I appreciated. I would not hesitate to come back!!

So pull up the menu online and check it out while you wait. Thought that was weird. What happens if you don't have a smartphone? Another thing we did not appreciate: while we were looking at the menu we overheard the waitress next to us tell her table about "lavender cream" for their coffee. Our waitress did not say anything about this other cream to try. However when we inquired about it , she said oh yes, would you like to try some? I said yes. And then sure enough, there was an added expense for the lavender cream on the bill later. Please tell people when there is an extra charge so we can decide if it's worth it or not to order! Ok let's get to what we ordered: AUTHENTIC APFEL PFANNEKUCHEN ( which was like a German Pancake) and SOUTHERN BENNIE ( came with regular pancakes ) and we also got a side of hash. My pancake needed extra time and since I had known I wanted to try that I ordered it right away. It came faster than expected actually. It was as big as the plate. It was good-- had with apples in the batter. My wife enjoyed her Bennie as well. Hash browns came out crispy as requested. I would say if you haven't been here- go at least once. They have a few locations. They turn over the tables fast so waiting isn't too bad. Food was very good - and if you are ok with blindly ordering without checking prices of items.... then even better for you.
