    hot plate chicken
    Yuzuki A.

the food was a mix of good and ok. tteokbokki and the hot plate chicken were excellent. the tteok was so chewy and melts in your mouth and the chicken is so tender. the panchan was weak. speaking of panchan, the kimchi was horrible. the kimchi jiigae flavour was whatever. the ambience felt authentic enough and the food came out incredibly fast, they were definitely efficient. service was alright, they don't say anything to you as there is a tablet where you order from. when they drop off the food it really is just a quick drop off and leave without saying a word. my biggest complaint: there was an overwhelming amount of fruit flies, which made the experience so unpleasant. every minute i had to swat a fly away, it was digusting. i even caught a bug getting caught in the panchan, i will insert it on this review. in my opinion: not worth coming back to even though some dishes were nice. maybe for takeout.

    Beef short rib soup

Was craving Korean comfort food and ordered the Beef Short Rib soup. The soup and flavourful and the ribs were super tender - they just fell off the bone! A great spot with lots of tables for friends and family. Service was attentive and friendly.

I've been here multiple times and it's my favourite place for Korean food! I honestly miss this restaurant when I'm in the GTA. My go-tos are the Japchae with beef, kimchi fried rice & the spicy BBQ pork with cheese. All great dishes to share! The spicy BBQ pork with cheese isn't spicy in my opinion and I have a low tolerance for spice!

Good customer service. You can order in advance and pick up. Food is quite good. Ordered the spicy pan fried seafood noodles.

We have been here so many times since our first visit. A definite order for us is the chicken hot plate and the pork hot plate.

The spicy BBQ chicken with cheese is really good! It's not super spicy but jam packed with flavour and the chicken is super tender.

    Tofu bibimbap

After hearing that lots of students like to come to Ozen Korea to grab food, we decided to come one day after class. There are very minimal vegetarian options so I got the tofu bibimbap. It was good, on par with all the bibimbap's I've ever gotten from other restaurants. They give the gochujang (red chilli paste) on the side, and it was a perfect amount of sauce for the bibimbap. The dish tasted just like the one offered at the other Ozen on Richmond. However, Ozen Korea comes with side dishes while the location on Richmond doesn't. The pickled cucumber side dish was good and tasted really fresh! We came on a Thursday night, so it wasn't that busy. One thing to note is that you need to press the button at your table to grab the waiter/waitress, or else they will just assume you are not ready to order! Verdict: would come again in a group setting, but probably wouldn't personally choose to come here, as the vegetarian options are pretty limited.

a pan of food on a table

The only nice thing I can say about this place is that their food was great. Everything else sucked. First, they placed us on a small table on the furthermost corner beside the storage room. Next, they took forever to take our order. The server even took the order of the people who arrived later than us first. Then, the server was just throwing the plates and dishes to our table, brought our food and just left. Bare minimum service and they would expect a tip??? It felt like they were annoyed to have us there. Just put a sign saying you only want to serve fellow koreans in your restaurant. Never coming back again.

    Spicy tofu soup

Standard Korean food fare that is comparable to most other Korean restaurants I've eaten at. I often get the tofu seafood stew, which was tasty as expected here. My friends got the zhajiang noodles and pork bone stew, and they both enjoyed their dishes. The noodles in particular was a huge serving, perfect for leftovers or a larger meal. Complimentary pickled veggies were delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the sweetened potatoes. Good meal, would definitely recommend!

This is from the knowledge, the only korean place that serves you the ring of cheese and boy oh boy is it well worth it. You need to bring a buddy, you appetite, and maybe take an uber cause the soju selection here is stuff you can't find at LCBO (annoyingly) My second visit here, first time having the ring of cheese, we got the pork and octopus and when it came to our table, angels sang. The spiciness is pretty tame (with that said I have a pretty high threshold for spice) and the cheese will eliminate any burning sensation you may feel. We paired this with the grapefruit soju (which is my fave) and i was transported back to my hometown (ktown, not Korea) The buzzer on the side calls for your server which I wish was implemented everywhere. I'm one of those people who don't like waving down waiters or even having them ask me how the food is. I'll let you know if it's bad, just come and refill my banchan homie Anyways, thumbs up, would for sure be returning to see how their nangmyun stands up

The service was nice and friendly. Good came fairly quickly. You buzz to tell the server your ready to order.. it was fun. Everything was good. I've been to a few Korean places in London and this makes the higher end of the list. Worth trying if your looking for something new to try.

Jap chae (glass noodles) with veggies
    Caitlin H.

The one dish that attracted me to Ozen Korea was the fried pork with melted cheese ring. It was absolutely delicious! The meat marinade was tasty, I loved the texture of the rice cakes and the cheese, OH THE CHEESE!! Perfect salty flavour to the sweet marinade. However, my one big complaint is the lack of meat. There was 10x more onion than rice cakes, pork and potato slices. I shared among 4 people and had 3 bites of meat so I would rather share this among 2 people. Or I advise getting a meat dish on the side to have a more well rounded meal. Next, I ordered the Jap Chae (glass noodles) with vegetables. Wow!! The noodles tasted outstanding. Jelly, sweet, and high quality. I think $7 for this dish was fair, I will definitely order it again. The cheese ring pork dish was $35. I think it was a good thing to try once but not worth getting again. Service was fast, I like that there's a call button at the table and everything was clean. Lovely place to eat with friends or family!

    Tofu bimbimbap
    Ryan S.

Mixed reviews on here which almost stopped us from going, but based on a friend's recommendation we decided to try it. We both ordered tofu bibimbop which was really good and a generous portion size. It could have had more flavor, even the hot sauce was bland. The kimchi and other little apps they bring when you sit are good. Service is very friendly and timely. Flavour was the shortcoming on this visit but overall good place.

    Pork noodle must get!

I ordered the mixed veggie bibimbap on SkipTheDishes for pickup since it's literally two blocks from my place of work, may as well pickup! Anyways, the sauce was absolutely delicious! Could have used less bean sprouts, next time I'll ask for none. I hate them but wanted an authentic experience. I also didn't think it would have been mixed already when I got it. I thought I could have just brushed them off. But it was mixed! I ordered an extra egg by mistake because clearly I'm not smart haha! First time having kimchi, oh my goodness I'm in love! It was a bit spicy but not in a bad way. Awesome flavour! Next time I'll order a side of kimchi, there was three pieces of kimchi (this is why my review is four stars!!) more kimchi! The miso soup was yucky, I really didn't enjoy it. There was one teeny piece of tofu in it and two pieces of seaweed. But I also discovered I just don't like miso, not sure if it was authentic or not as I've never had it before. Did not enjoy though. Overall the food was great and I told my mom she is totally coming with me next time. Yummy yummy!!!

The BF ordered the tuna roll, salmon avocado, and French Kiss roll. We both noticed they were wrapped extremely loose and we had difficulty picking up each piece with chopsticks without them falling apart. Flavor-wise we found them all a bit bland, even the speciality rolls- which was really a shame because the cheapest roll was $9. Our total was $100 with tip which we found to be on the expensive side for the quantities received. Next time we're in town we'd try elsewhere or just not order sushi until we're back home.

You would order at the counter and I think you pick up your food as well, we didn't dine in so I'm not sure if they do table service. The Kimbap is made fresh to order so it took them 10-15 minutes to make our order. We had ordered 4 Kimbaps and a bulgogi cup bowl dish. The cup was a bit small for the price we paid ($17 before tax/tip) but the Kimbap turned out to be very large and filling ($13-$14 each before tax/tip for the tuna and bulgogi kimbaps). Although the Kimbap was large and colourful with a lot of nice ingredients, we found a few pieces kept breaking when we were trying to pick it up to eat. It didn't hold together as nice so it made the experience a little messy with the ingredients dropping out. For the price and the Kimbap not holding together well, I'm not sure if I would come back as often. I rather get it at H-Mart for cheaper or make it myself at home. The prices are before tax and tip so it can get expensive for only 10 large pieces of Kimbap. It's worth giving the spot a try though! The Kimbap did taste pretty good and staff are friendly.
