Did business with OZ PowerSports two years ago. I dealt directly with the manager, Brad. I needed a new Yamaha R6 engine for my motorcycle. The service was terrible at best. Brad would not return any of my phone calls, nor would he make phone calls to the business shipping the engine from across the country. Additionally, when speaking with brad on the phone, his main goal was to get you off the phone as quickly as possible. In one instance, he hung up on me in the middle of a question I had for him. As a confirmed masochist, as soon as I saw all the negative reviews here on Yelp I knew I was in luck. As promised, Brad's terrible gaze through his grease-stained bushy beard was withering and I knew I was not wanted as soon as I pushed open the cracked, dusty glass door and stepped inside. The floor was littered with dead insects, cigarette buts, and random hex nuts. I courageously picked my way through the dozens of dissassembled motorcycles placed seemingly randomly around, to the stock shelf, and selected a can of chain lube, for which I paid several times the cost of getting the same product mailed to me from a direct-to-consumer internet dealer, but this was fine because I SURVIVED BRAD'S GLARE. I called about a part that I already knew is no longer made. Sometimes shops have parts still in inventory, new, which are no longer sold, so I've been calling around. They had one in stock, but only used, and quoted a price 9x higher than I was able to source a used part elsewhere. He also quoted me $20-30 to ship a part the size of an egg. When I started to say that I had a line on one less expensive, he got mad and said if I can't find it then the price just went up and HUNG UP ON ME while I was still talking. Listen, the internet exists and that means rude A-holes that operate shops like this are not your only option any longer. You are not beholden to their whims. They overcharge for parts, are utterly inflexible, and have no ability to communicate with other humans. My advice, go find somebody more deserving of your money. My experience with this company was terrible. Terrible customer service and customer care. They shorted me on my order and offered no compensation and refused to for inconveniencing and shorting me, shows no concern to get me the item I ordered and paid them for. I called last week for a rotor on my Yamaha Venture. Guy that answered the phone quoted $130 with $20 shipping. For a bike rotor? Am I getting the whole rim? I stated that I have found a hole rim/tire/rotor for $60. And I have found just the rotor for $40with a $20 s/h. Then was told some BS about how I would expect his rotor to be warranted and he has to charge more for that. Very rude and then hung up on me after telling me good luck. Well I did have good luck just a short ride up to HUB cycle I got a used rotor for $50. This guy is a crook. I went in one day to buy some filter cleaner and oil for my bike which rang up at $28.00. Luckily for me my card declined and i had to leave. Later that day i went to Auto zone and got the same stuff for only $11.00. Also, before this i came in to get an oil change on my little bros dirt bike which magically turned into a front fork repair that essentially damaged the bike even further. Awwwwful this guy brad lied and lied then threaten me to show up after work .he would not return a fuel pump that i bought and did not use, it was the wrong part he did not ask for the vin # , paid extra for express shipping and it was suppose to be 2-3 days , it took 8 days to get it and did not get a refund for shipping. Brad did not state his return policy or exchange policy, simply stated this guy is a con artist and will be reported to fox 4 problem solvers. Don't walk away run away from this place, RUN AWAY brutal arrogant and overpriced. Bought a carb had to pay $295 for a $100 carb, they told me I had to pay first by visa if they found it they complete visa transaction, said they would charge $30 ish for mailing to Canada they charged $55, carb came in it was the wrong one, so I called them first they made fun of me and told I didn't know what I was talking about...... Then finally after taking pictures of my old carb and the one they sent me they grudgingly agreed that maybe I was correct. Asked for refund, laughed at me again, no sir you ship both carbs (so we can match exactly) at my cost then we will find you one and send it to you. (By the way it only cost me $23 to courier both carbs back to them) Three to five phone calls later (which was about three weeks in time) they agreed they had received the carbs and indeed it was different than the one they sent to me, they would me one.....two to three weeks later admitted they could not find one and would refund to my visa right away, this process took another three to four calls and three to four weeks in time and yes you guessed it they only refunded $295 not the $55 for shipping by this time I was so happy to get something back that I didn't even bother to call them, which I will never do again. If I could give this business a negative 5 stars I would. If you do not believe me, please call ahead and deal with him before wasting a trip there. My friend and I drove an hour to this salvage yard. We were looking for motorcycles to buy and parts. Something as simple as a used fuel tank suddenly turned into a full blown production. The owner would not let us out in the yard to see his inventory. Wanted way over market value for a used fuel tank, $263 for a '78 Kawasaki 650 tank. I could buy an NOS on eBay for that. Then said if he did sell a tank it would require him to clean it inside and treat it with sealer, if the sealer didn't adhere to the cleaned rusty metal we would then need to purchase a second tank and also be charged for the first tank. If it didn't take on the second tank we would again be charged for that tank then charged for third go round!. Sorry not gonna pay a grand for 3 junkyard tanks and be at the mercy of this fool! Normally at the most $125 for a used tank $10 can of Evapo Rust and sealer $30, all of which I do all the time! He won't sell any parts without him removing, he strangely enough wanted my motorcycle there to see what it needed and to work on, oh god no!. I'm guessing he carries no yard insurance so people cannot be permitted in his yard. We simply wanted to buy a part, he would not sell just a part, without him tacking on other charges. He made no bother to ask what all I had motorcycle wise. I have been working on motorcycles 30 years, do all my work. He has no idea what he has in inventory when simply asked if he had a F5 Kawasaki. Was told to come back Saturday. Rudely took two phone calls in front of us, made us wait on him. The owner almost seemed like he forgot to take his meds today, really off mentally. Went on a rant of a claim he only sells whole motorcycles to Europeans who come in and buy 20 motorcycles at a time, and how 38% of those parts come back to the USA. What ever that means, lol. All in all a big waste of time to visit this place on my day off. My friend and I left in disgust with the owner. A very foolish individual. If had he made us his customers priority, gotten to know us as fellow motorcycle enthusiasts then and there, he could have made sales today and in the future. We did in fact have cash and we're ready to look and buy parts and motorcycles. Very rude individual, claimed he could make $2000 for a motorcycle parted out on the net, rather than selling for $250 to us. We hadn't even looked at any! Guess what, we could have offered more. He wouldn't let us in the yard! Little did he know we could have bought several motorcycles. He also claimed he was going to open a new shop in KC selling his cycle gear, all of which looked dirty and like it had been on his shelves since the 1990's. Then he said he would just concentrate on selling on the net from now on, ranted on more how he didn't have the time of day to walk out in the yard with everybody. He then ranted on he was going to list all his salvage motorcycles on EBay. I guess he didn't need any money today! Could have made alot off us, but chose to read a book by its cover, and didn't want to accommodate his customers. Customers should always be number one priority in any business.
