This place told me I could not wear my coat because it was "hot" upstairs. So they told me I had to check it for $5!!! How can you force someone to check their coat! So after the $20 cover for a GIRL I had to pay $5! Then when I got upstairs there were like no people and it was NOT HOT! My friend had a $500 table and by 1am people left and they asked if they could sell of a part of her section!!! She was drunk so she said yes so she could hardly hear!!! How can you sell off a table? We were turned away at the door because of a sexist policy that women had to wear heels. And it was an issue if we were wearing sneakers. The bouncers refused to talk to us or explain why the policy. But two guys walked in looking busted and wearing sneakers. Another group of women came up with us where one was wearing sneakers and the bouncers told the friend group to leave her outside. Cool little spot right in the middle of downtown Baltimore. It was pouring raining on a Saturday night when I stopped through. Initially the rain kept the crowd away but as the night went on the place filled up. Place is a nice two story set up, you have to climb two flight of stairs to get to the main partying area. There are two levels on the upper level, one with a dancing area and one with a large bar. Drinks were about 10 dollars a pop for a mixed drink which is standard in DC but I'm not sure when it comes to Baltimore. Drinks were strong though and staff bartenders and security were friendly. Worth a visit, especially if you can get in for free like I was able to do. read more

Hookah and bottle service! For under $400!? YES. Stopped here with friends after taking the bar exam to prematurely celebrate our success, which may or may not come later this spring. At any rate, we had a great time. This place attracts some of Baltimore's finest and Baltimore's most gutter. Had a great time here, and if I'm ever in Baltimore I would definitely stop by. The decor is contemporary and music is hiphop/ r&b however the door people are less than accommodating and lack any real people and communication skills. Its 9:30p on a Friday- labor day weekend- and there are exactly 3 people here (including the dj) yet there is a cover charge for both men and women...? I won't waste my $$$ again- feeling cheated. Talked to a man and a woman at the door -afterall I felt a better buy for my $ would have been at the bar- however they immediately shut me down and told me no refunds! Oxygen Ultra Lounge - Dance Clubs Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

Nice place, I have been here a couple of times. I usually go to clubs when there is a big event being hosted by one of the local party promoter. I came here a few weeks ago to celebrate my Bday which also doubled as a Halloween party. There is Valet which is a plus for me because I refuse to find my own parking downtown, I also hate beating the pavement in 5inch heels ( NO THANKS!) once inside and passed the security check there is a hostess and coat check. Now depending on the event both levels are open. This particular night only the upstairs level was open. So up two levels of stairs and a ramp you see the main bar and table area. There is also two beds you can rent ( bottle service) up stairs. There is a main dance floor up stair and a annex type of bar with a row of small tables and chairs. The setup in Oxygen is cute,a little tight in the main reservation/ table area upstairs, but all in all a nicely layout setup. Downstairs is set up like a lounge, more tables and chairs not really a dance floor unless you call the walkway from the door to the back of the club the dance floor. There is enough space to do a mean two step. The bottle service is the usual for Baltimore not as expensive as most cities but it's still a huge mark up. There cocktail are yummy the music a hit it or miss it really depends on who is DJing. Overall I had fun! read more

If you are over the age of 25 this place is not for you. The music is good but this place is anything but upscale. The cover is 20 and the place is small. The ratio for men to women is 1 woman to 20 men. If you are looking for a place to pay for high watered down drinks and not have anywhere to stand or sit this place is for you. My sisters and I were looking for a place to relax and dance and this place was not it. Needless to say we left after our first drink. I am so disappointed in Oxygen. I will not be returning to this establishment ever again and I doubt my friends and friends of friends will either. Baltimore has a sad night life in general and Oxygen is added to the list of why. I went to Oxygen for New Years Eve and encountered a bait and switch scheme. I saw on Instagram that the price for entry was $20 at the door before midnight. My friends and I arrived around 9:30 pm. However, we were told $30 for entry. I'm not a cheap person so the difference in price wasn't the issue. I had an issue with their customer service. I asked the employee why is it $30 instead of $20. I showed her what was said on Instagram by whoever manages the account for Oxygen and she couldn't give me a straight answer. She said she doesn't know, but it's $30 and called the owner. Why is an employee catching attitude with me about something your establishment stated? After 30 minutes she let us in for $20, but said we would not receive a free bottle of champagne (as advertised). I'm confused about this situation. Why would a business not honor what they stated on Instagram? If someone made a mistake by saying $20 that's fine, but as a business own up to that mistake. Apologize for the inconvenience. Eat the cost of that mistake because it happened by your own employees. It's called good customer service. Learn the meaning and practice it. When an club/lounge uses notebook paper for bathroom signs, nasty cheap soap, has holes in the walls, paper cones for liquor spouts, taped up couches; oh and makes its customers REUSE plastic cups for their open bar (talk about sanitation issues) they might be pressed for capital. Maybe that's why I was fought so hard for a $10 difference for a group of women. Good luck with your business practices Oxygen. read more

Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! My wife and I came to up to Bmore to get it in for the evening and someone at our hotel recommended this joint, WTF! I knew it was a joke when the bouncers checked her purse for weapons but they didn't even check me for anything, no pat down, no wand, nothing. They had a $20 cover charge per person. (I'm laughing right now because this place is a joke) No big deal I actually felt like this place needed the donation. The woman working the front door had ZERO customer service experience, ZERO!!!! It was like going to the worst McDonald's drive through that you can think of (you know what I'm talking about) and all she's doing is taking your money. Terrible! I always wear a sports coat when I go out and I was clearly over dressed here. Kats had on shorts, tennis shoes, t-shirts, you name it. The service is terrible. We paid a deposit of $100 for 10 people...plus $400. Our first seating was enough for 5 people. ..then we were moved to a bigger space. It was over 20 minutes to get a bottle of Ciroc..a small bottle of Hennessy......and wine....they put the bottles in the ice that we had to use for our dtinks. Do not go here! I highly do not recommend this place! Long story short my friend and I did not want to take the long drive to DC for a good time. A friend of hers suggested this place, a short drive from Anne Arundel Co. We rode pass the establishment to see how the crowd was and it seemed decent. We opted not to wear heels seeing patrons in line in flats, boots, Jordan's, and timberlands. Walking up to the club, I see a young man enter in a full sweatsuit outfit wearing Jordan's, no problem there. Now it's my turn to enter the club and security tells me I'm not allowed to wear my puma tennis shoes. I didn't argue just went to the car and changed into my heels. Get back she says she doesn't know if I could enter due to my pants( I have those Rihanna puma zip on the side ), but the other bouncer said since I have on heels it's ok! In my head I'm like she could've said something about my pants and shoes the first time, geez. Entered the club and it's rachettttt. Guys are dressed like I described earlier, no where near decent, ripped jeans and tshirts and all( excuse my grammar) . Women dressed in booty shorts and onesies but guess what they are in heels so it's ok, guess that is deemed classy for Baltimore. I simply think you can't be bias in gender( which is illegal). The Dj was ok. He mixed really well but the girls weren't dancing. He played mostly trap music which usually requires just a bobbing head to feel the music. But there was a group of guys(10-15) that danced and hyped each other up! Usually if girls aren't dancing the Dj would switch it up, not this one! A guy asked me why guys and girls weren't dancing with each other and I simply replied "times have changed". They also had hookah but since the club is so small and packed it created a thick smoke in the area, which made it hard to breath. Then they had the nerve to have a machine that releases a thick smoke into the already thick air! A girl grabbed my hand trying to run away from the smoke monster that was trying to consume her. The worst service! Went there for my cousins party and had to get to the door by 11:30pm! I pull up in front of the club by 11:00pm and the velvet tells me to circle the block so I do by the time I get back around there is 5 cars waiting to be velvet also so by the time the velvet guy gets back to my car he tells me he can't velvet anymore so I have to circle the block again! I park my car a block away and get to the door around 11:20 still before 11:30pm! By the time we get in since its Pride Week the line is sooooo long!after the look through our purses and ID check its past 11:30 so they want to charges us $20 to get in! WTF? Are u seriously charging us $20 because u don't have efficient staff? I am BEYOND PISSED they this establishment won't honor the fact that we had our names on a list to get in free!!!
