Get there with husband, baby, and two older boys. All excited as can be to try out new car we agreed on pricing for. 5. Boys all hop in car and I ask sales person "everyone is okay with the price and trade in value we agreed on" and he says "yes" 6. Husband puts car seat in car to be sure it fits and kids all in and he test drives it to insure we are making right choice. 7. We get back and tell the kids we are signing deal. 8. Waiting at desk. 9. Ari comes and tells me "sorry but price changed from today to yesterday and these prices fluctuate and things happen" 10. Offers me way below for my car trade in and the original price of car which was 4k over. 11. Talk with manger George after watching him lick his hot Cheeto fingers for 10 minutes prior to my disappointment and tell him I won't ever buy there again. 12. Oxnard Mazda is extremely unprofessional and we will never do business with them again. My daughter purchased a new Mazda3 from Oxnard Mazda in January of 2020. As part of the sales contract, she opted to purchase debt cancellation insurance in the amount of $895 which she financed along with the vehicle purchase. She paid off the car early and was entitled to a refund of the unused portion of her Debt Cancellation insurance. When she contacted Oxnard Mazda about the refund, they asked her to send over paperwork which she did. The sales manager, Richard Hill, then did not respond to further requests for an update. I later found out by contacting the insurance company (ALLY) directly that Oxnard Mazda never sent over payment or paperwork related to the Debt Cancellation policy. So even though Oxnard received payment in full for the insurance, they never executed any documents and they just kept the money. I paid an extra $91.55 in interest for a total of almost $1,000 for a product that I did not receive. After making multiple requests for a full refund, the finance manager said it was "out of his hands" and that the GM, Caesar Caceres would be handling the matter. The problem is that the GM did not respond to any phone calls or correspondence so now I will be filing a lawsuit to recover my money. Oxnard Mazda's unfair business practices and unprofessionalism should concern any potential buyer. If this dealership had any integrity, I would have had a full refund and an apology months ago. To date, I have neither so I will be taking them to court. read more

After less than 10 months of owning the certified pre owned vehicle and driving it for under 10k miles, I've been told it needs two new tires. Maybe I'm off base here but I just assumed the car being well over half way to the recommended mileage for the tires would've been replaced by the dealership prior to my purchase, but they weren't. I just recently took my Mazda here for service on a recall on the back up camera. Very different experience from when I was last year a year and a half ago. The customer experience was very poor. The gentleman checking me in was not welcoming in any way. Quite frankly it was an experience that I will not be repeating. Watching them rapidly accelerating customers cars on take off to get service in the back was a red flag as well. I would give more stars because I had an excellent experience at Oxnard Mazda. At the OTHER dealerships, I felt pressured and manipulated. Salespeople tried to sell me unnecessary add-ons and were not willing to negotiate. I was under the impression that every salesperson I talked to, used manipulative language and prioritized closing the deal over understanding my needs. Josh is completely the opposite with a positive attitude and clear communication. We started communicating on the phone, he provided me with all the information I needed about the Mazda cx-5 Carbon edition. Took my car today to get an oil change and the experience was both good and bad. Really. 3.5 out 5 for me. I'll start with the bad: - I scheduled an oil change and rotation of tires because of a coupon they had online. When the service was finished and I went to pay, it ended up being much more. According to the service advisor, they had to use synthetic oil (a more expensive type of oil). Look, I'm okay with paying the higher amount but I wish I was communicated earlier that I would be paying more. I think that was uncool that I had to find out last minute that I was going to pay more. They had two hours to tell me but never did. Guess next time I go for a service I will have to make sure what the final price before I give them the keys. Now with the good: - the actually service on the car was great. The technician recorded a video of my engine bay and under carriage and sent it to me by email. It was so cool to see how they determine tire wear, brakes, fluid levels, etc. I was glad to see my car was in good condition, even if she's an old rust bucket. When I drove my car home, it felt great. It definitely needed the oil change. I also liked that I was able to work in the waiting area. Their internet was super fast and they had a nice workspace for me. I also enjoyed talking to some of the salesmen, Caesar and Tim. They did try to see if I wanted to appraise my car and trade it in, but I told them I'm not ready yet. They understood and let me go about my work. But I did check out the new CX-30 and I'm very much interested in it sometime in the future. Overall would I come back? Yes I probably will. I'm a Mazda guy for life and the service on my car was great. I do see myself buying a Mazda in the future so I definitely want go thru the sales process with them. PLEASE READ!!! If I could rate 0, I would! I took my car in on new years eve. I previously had it scanned elsewhere and was told it was a misfire of the 4th cylinder so I went ahead and replaced the ignition coil and spark plug but was still having that issue and so I decided to take it to the mazda dealership in Oxnard hoping they could figure it out. They scanned my car and told me the same thing about the misfire. They convinced me that I had to change ALL my ignition coils AND my spark plugs with OEM ONLY. I KNEW this was not going to work but the mechanic (ERIK PADILLA) swore that was the issue. My uncle and brother are mechanics and had previously told me that OEM parts are not necessary and that the dealer was trying to scam me. The mechanic gave me no other option but to get it done. I ended up getting the plugs changed by them but I went ahead and ordered the ignition coils myself since they wanted to charge me almost 1k for those parts. When I picked my car up, I DROVE it home and popped open the hood to put in the brand new OEM ignition coils that they swore would fix the issue just to find out that THE MECHANIC NEVER SCREWED THE IGNITION COILS BACK IN!!!! DO THEY NOT HAVE A CHECKLIST TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS GOOD BEFORE RETURNING THE CAR!!!??? I also noticed that the mechanic, ERIK PADILLA, also typed up that my spark plugs were VERY WORN(in caps) which was also a lie!! 2 days prior to taking the car to the dealer, I had replaced 2 of them and I indeed have the receipt from the parts shop. Also, 2 months prior, I had replaced the other 2 as well. After switching out the coils, my car was still experiencing the same issue.. just like I knew it would. I was beyond pissed off that they made me spend over $1,500 because he was 100% sure that was it without taking into consideration other possibilities. I ended up taking the car back to the dealership. I showed up with all the receipts from prior parts that i had just replaced, along with the false report that the previous mechanic had written for me and I demanded to speak to a manager before they touch my car again. The service advisor, CHASE NEWTON, was there to receive my car. I asked him about the manager and he told me she was not there so then I asked him when does she come in and he claimed not to know. HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW WHEN YOUR MANAGER IS WORKING!!!??? he proceeded to act clueless which further pissed me off. I told him not to have the mechanic touch my car until I speak to the manager. It has been 2 days and I have yet to hear from any upper management. I did get a voicemail from CHASE NEWTON stating that HE ALLOWED the mechanic to start working on my car despite the fact that he knew and supposedly wrote in my chart that I will speak with the manager FIRST!! This has become a f**kn nightmare!!! Thankfully I was able to get a loaner for now. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS!! I usually think of going to a car dealership service place as a last resort for maintenance and honestly I always expect them to suggest a million car repairs that I don't really need. So many issues with this dealership. We leased a vehicle March but they turned in the paperwork 2 weeks late. They ran my credit again when they turned in the paperwork late and refused to remove the extra inquiry. We're on the hook for any extra miles that happened in those 2 weeks. they refused to fix mileage, pay for extra miles or even correct the contract date. They literally said we know it's wrong but we can't do anything because we were already paid for your car. Basically we got our money so we won't help. Next issues they told me plates were on the way and here I am in August still no plates they sent me a tracking number that shows in transit since May. That I would have to go to the DMV now myself. Next issue now with the car we have the CX90 the AC keeps going out they can't tell us why we've taken the car 4 times and this last time they had it for a week. They said we may just have to wait for a recall. Or just take it to other dealerships and see if we can get it taken back for the lemon law. I have never experience such poor customer service in my life with a dealer and lack of action to fix issues they cause. DO NOT GO TO MAZDA OXNARD try any other dealership if you insist on having a Mazda. read more

They fixed it to some extent however, they also broke our doorhandle, and we had to go back to have them fix that. The window was mostly fixed. BUYER BEWARE, especially if you're a girl or buying a car for the first time. They will take advantage. I genuinely don't write reviews, but after this experience with this Mazda dealership, I want to make sure that hopefully, no one else has to deal with this. I was being begged for months to come in because they knew my lease was ending. When I decided to buy out my car, I went in to see their offer. Right off the bat, they showed my vehicle price as $15,900 (the vehicle price was $14,801), which was $1,100 over what Mazda Financial told me it would be in my Lease Buyout Agreement. The salesman claimed it was because taxes and fees were added in already, but in the fine print on the paper they gave me, it said that (taxes and DMV fees) AREN'T included in the vehicle price. So the $1,100 was added just because they felt they could get away with it? And it gets better... They tried to charge me almost $26,500 (12k over the vehicle price just for the 48 month term) by adding GAP insurance and their warranty automatically without even asking, plus heavy interest even though my credit is good. That was the price even before taxes and DMV fees were included. When I did the math and confronted them, they lied straight to my face and then hesitantly went to remove the random fees they had secretly tried to add in. Let's not forget they refused to show me the 36-month term that I asked for. They also refused to talk to my family member who is in car sales and would have been able to ensure I was getting a good/fair deal. If you do come to this dealership, come well-prepared with the exact number you want to pay and be willing to leave if you don't get it. Double and triple check everything they give you. I'm so thankful I didn't sign anything. Updated 7/19/24: I didn't walk in and demand numbers but I did ask them to remove the 10k extra in fees that they chose to add without permission. The service department could do you wrong. Be your cars' best advocate! My 2016 CX-5 has had a few services through them, and each time, they might electronically take note of their findings and offer you their recommendations, but you need to be your cars' best advocate. There was a couple issues I had with them writing the mileage on the next oil change label, and another time when the oil light did not show on my dashboard of my car in time. These things are 'thumbs down' in my book when you rely on 100% work on a routine job. Furthermore the Sales Dept. did not make the experience about purchasing another car for our daughter as a graduation gift very exciting. I have seen several reviews saying Oxnard Mazda had changed since the new ownership, but I didn't want to believe it since I had such an amazing experience in 2021. Fast forward three years... lease is almost up... of course I'm returning to my beloved Oxnard Mazda. I am going to make a long story short, but the salesman [*****] (Name redacted- decided he's a young guy who needs more manners and customer service experience) ensured our family will never return to Oxnard Mazda. After ghosting me for almost 2 days, I called another dealership and got a better deal and he LOST IT! He sent me angry rude messages and essentially said it was my fault I lost the deal. I'm sure he will tell his manager a different story but I have the receipts and the bottom line is that his lack of transparency and poor communication lost the deal. Maybe he thought that because I'm a woman he could talk to me that way, or give me a crappy price and I wouldn't realize it? I'm still so baffled. I ended up at Bakersfield Mazda and saved over $60/month over what Oxnard had quoted me. The 90 min drive was more than worth it, and Bakersfield has a customer for life, which is sad because we thought Oxnard was that for us.
