Been coming to this park every year for their annual Easter Egg Hunt (pre-covid). It had become a tradition for me and my kid as we both donned our bunny ears and excitedly head out to hunt Easter eggs all around this park. The line for this event stretches down the entire park (no joke), that's about an eight block stretch. The park itself provides a scenic view of the river along the Belt Parkway. It has massive grass areas for picnics and play space. Park is very well maintained and kept clean, never got to use the restroom though. Overall, a wonderful Iconic park that exemplifies the beauty of Brooklyn

I wasn't aware of this gem until one day I decided to take my cat out for park day. YES you are right - I took my cat out and let her explore the nature. This park is great for so many activities - picnic, photoshoot, walk your dog and so much more. They have a skate park, spray shower, fitness equipment and some dog-friendly areas. I was surprised that this park is clean and well-maintained. I also saw videos of kids tubing down the slopes after the snow storms that we had this year. I visited in early Fall and can't wait to go back when the weather is warmer.

It's a beautiful family friendly park in Bay Ridge. You are also overlooking the Verrazano Bridge. Great for walking, biking & there's also an area to play baseball. I've notice two play area for kids .

To dispel life's daily deal of the daily grind, with a friend, Owls Head Park is a premier park in Brooklyn which allows visitors to overlook New York Harbor along Belt Parkway. Children playing on the playground where the laughter and joyous cries resonate a innocent youth for what fate awaits their life. Owls Head Park is also equipped with a dog run, skateboard and bike lanes. There are many nice walking trails within. The layout fends this park an illusion of great space with lots of greenery.

Great dog run. Have been regulars for 2 years. The people that visit are caring and drama free. If the dogs act out, the owners usually intervene. Conveniently located near the highway and outer edge of the park. The park itself is very large and lots to do. Clean restrooms, always tons of activities, large playground and skate park! Sprinklers open in the summer

I believe hearing children play is the sound of life! I know some adults do not like to hear children scream but to me it sounds wonderful! If you love children, and life this is a nice park. If you don't like children this park may not appeal to you. There is a nice playground for young children and there are many young children and families playing in this park. Like the neighborhood the park is mixed ethnically. There are small hills to walk on a walking path. You share it with bikes but they are real New Yorkers riding their bikes not hill billies who just moved here from nowheresville who don't know how to ride their bikes like in Williamsburg. The park though has a lot of tall weeds and it doesn't look like the city takes care of it's upkeep. I know our mayor only puts money into areas he thinks will make money for the city. In 1994, Borough President Howard Golden and City Councilmember Sal Albanese funded a $400,000 restoration that brought new life to the park. Roads were paved, equipment replaced, and amenities added. Since that time, Owl's Head Park received new concrete basketball courts, and in 2000, the city's first skateboard park. In 2002, the original gates of the Bliss estate were found in storage, and returned to the entrance of the park. They are beautiful, ornate wrought iron gates, with a large cartouche with the initials "EWB". For older Bay Ridgers especially, this is fitting, as to them, it will always be Bliss Park. Here is a fascinating article about the parks history and long story short you can trace the invention of artificially flavored soda to this park. http://www.brownstoner.com/blog/2012/05/walkabout-the-lords-of-owl%E2%80%99s-head-part-3/ Perhaps that is why the mayor doesn't put much help into upkeep of the park. We all know he hates soda. There are community organizations who have organized clean ups of the park. But it would be much nicer if the city put money into it's upkeep. A part of our trip to Brooklyn was diagnostic. I was in too much pain even a month go to go to Brooklyn. Or this far in Brooklyn. I did fine but then I took a fall in an unkempt building. So I may have to start all over with my recovery or get another surgery. UGH!

Bay Ridge is a lot greener than it looks. That's because most of them are located along the shore and Owl's Head park is one of them. It's surprisingly huge and because it's on a hill, you get fantastic sunset views along the water. While it's not directly connected to Shore Road park, it is right next to it so you can't miss it. You can also go fishing along the pier and walk along the Promenade. It's an absolute urban oasis. I've been in and around about the neighborhood for many years so I've noticed changes to the shops and people who live here. But this nature stuff has not changed a single bit and in fact, I think it's even getting better. Very blessed to live and be part of the neighborhood now.

Central Park may be in a more convenient location for tourists, but Prospect Park is a divine place to explore, with plenty of twists and turns, and what the heck is that? Lots to look at! The other thing I liked was that we found free on-street parking right across the street on Ocean Avenue. Amazingly we also found parking right by Central Park as well. (This trip was a superb driving one) Even hanging out in the van, having a cold one at the parking spot was a fun experience. There's even a cafe in the middle of the park that is super nice! Worth seeking out when visiting Brooklyn.

Lots of families, etc. Still, it can be an enjoyable time. I do prefer weekday visits myself. The walking/bike paths are a great way to see the park in its entirety. Plenty of green space for a picnic, playing frisbee, etc. Playground and splash pads as well. Of course, I can't forget the lake with all of the ducks splashing about. It's really a wonderful way to spend a day in Brooklyn, getting away from it all.

Looked more like a museum or some nice walkway to enjoy sightseeing of the Williamsburg bridge and the lower east side views of Manhattan, which is not that spectacular in my opinion because there are too many government buildings in that section so it's all brown over on the Manhattan side. Oh wells. Other than that, I'm shocked to see nice bathrooms a block away from the park for Domino Park guests! The bathrooms were really nice and modern! Each bathroom had dimmed lighting with a baby diaper changing station. One of the bathrooms was dirty with pee on the floor so I had to go to another one. Did not expect these nice bathrooms to get dirty like that! There were more bathrooms downstairs besides the ones on the first floor. The door to the bathrooms was very nice too! What a great job they did to this park. I cannot believe the Domino sugar factory still exists or is standing because I used to take the train and they be doing construction for many years for I don't know what reason. Looked like they turn downstairs into this nice modern park. So I went to the park to go to a Target pop up and got some nice freebies. There was enough space for pop ups and large crowds. Need to check out the rest of the park next time I'm here. Too bad there is no subway or trains going to this park and you need to resort to buses that take forever to arrive.
