12 oz Prime Rib

This place knows how to make a prime rib. I ordered the 12 oz. And it did not disappoint!

Great meal and quick. Service was spot on and the atmosphere was exactly as expected

Wilted lettuce, browning broccoli & browning cauliflower

This place has always been one of my favorite spots to eat in Helena, until today! Not sure what ya happened but the food has become terrible! Today I ordered 12 wings ($18) a side salad ($7.50) and a side of French fries ($6.50). First off the prices are absolutely outrageous! The side salad is described as having fresh greens, I got wilted iceberg lettuce, one carrot, 5 croutons, 1 piece of broccoli, 1 piece of cauliflower. Both the broccoli and cauliflower are browning! The French fries are very clearly of and have been re-dipped in the frier! Disappointing!!!!!

Chicken Caesar Wrap

Have eaten here a few times over the years and the lunches have been good enough to bring us back. Got here for a late lunch, and ordered the Blue Cheese Burger. The blue cheese sauce was very good... not so strong that it overwhelmed the flavorless beef coaster it was served over. This leftover burger patty was obviously cooked during the lunch rush and rewarmed to serve to the next customer ignorant enough to order one. It was so well done, all the moisture-less meat tasted like was a sawdust patty. If a facility's concern over customer satisfaction takes a backseat to saving a buck, the message is clear. Eat elsewhere. On the upside, my wife liked her lunch special; a Chicken Caesar Wrap.

Prime Rib, Baked Potato and Au Jus.. Perfect

Damn fine service, they're one of the few with CloudBurst on tap. Wing's, burgers, and food are top notch. Eat here now.

Cafe Zydeco - Seafood Gumbo with a Jazz Po-Boy

Cafe Zydeco

Pretty darn good…read more I'll caveat this with my coworker had some issues with his order, but they corrected it promptly so great service! The food comes out super fast, and it's as I mentioned pretty darn good I cannot complain! The po boy I got was tasty, and just enough food to keep me happy for the afternoon. This spot definitely rocks for lunch with it's speedy service and laid back atmosphere. The food itself, as I said it comes out fast! Like, questionably so but it wasn't bad so I can't complain haha. The one thing I didn't love is the cheese in my Po Boy got stuck to the wrapper it came out in so I lost a lot of cheese to the paper. Let's chat about ambiance fast, it's an interesting atmosphere very american but also very New Orleans at the same time. I like it but the walls are a smattering of different themes and ideas which makes for a somewhat incoherent atmosphere. Still, the music was at a good volume for conversation and for work. So yeah I'm happy!

Anywho, this is a heard through the grapevine spot, and to be honest -- originally I thought... "a Cajun in the North Pole? Yea right." I STAND CORRECTED, SIR. You looking for that poboy? Essketit. I've had a few of their sandwiches now. The, "all that jazz" is fuego. What's the stuff that's mayonnaise, but not really? Ummm.... You know what I'm talking about it. AIOLI! They make a couple of in house aioli's that go in the sandwiches, and the one on the, "all that jazz" is bomb. They do a dill aioli as well, and it's worth trying. Anyway, Cajun Santa. It's happening. Go try it yourself

He helped guide our choices without being pushy, and his recommendations were spot-on. For his birthday meal, my husband ordered a steak and I had the salmon--both were cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Evan checked in at all the right times, making sure everything was just right without ever interrupting the flow of our evening. What really set Evan apart was how he elevated the celebration. He acknowledged my husband's birthday in a genuine, thoughtful way that made the night feel special without being overdone. His attention to detail and friendly, professional demeanor made us feel taken care of from beginning to end. If you're dining at The Silver Star Steak Company, ask for Evan--you won't be disappointed!

I bet this place would be great if you walk in with a Brione suit on and a hot chick on your arm…read more Unfortunately, I only had my adidas black sweat top and tennis shoes one and was not treated well. Other customers that perhaps were perceived as bigger paychecks were consistently served before me. At first I sat at the bar to make it easy for the servers. Unfortunately it was only me and I was abandoned after My drink came and no dinner menus came despite being asked and responding that yes, I need them. So, I took my drink and asked to be seated at a table. the table next to me had about 8 people seated after me, and again they were able to order drinks before my waitress came to me. So, looks matter in this restaurant - a lot! That is never a good sign. My waitress is probably in the wrong career as she was brusque and seemed put off at having to serve 1 person. Maybe she was cursed with being German as I am. The wedge salad I ordered was two small wedge pieces instead of the normal 1 large piece and was ok, but underwhelming in both the size and the amount of blue cheese which was a bit sparse. The 6 oz fillet seemed more like 4 and was ok - the baked potato noticeably smaller than most but loaded at least. The restaurant scene is Helena is pitiful, to be honest. Billings is the place in Montana to be for restaurants. Maybe Bozeman or Missoula but unfortunately, the capital is lacking. The martinis were decent but not as good as the windmill in billings.

I was a bit surprised by the smallness of the table area, and when we arrived there around 7:30pm it was BUSY! We got the only table, and that was nice but it was LOUD. Loudest restaurant we've been in in a long time. The menu items sounded good, and We made our orders. We saw the pizzas delivered to our neighboring table, which was seemingly only inches from us, lol, and the crusts seemed unevenly cooked and burned, and we weren't sure. When the food arrived though, it tasted better than it looked. The crusts were SUPER thin though, I guess because it's cooked in an open fire oven, but it tasted good regardless of the way it appeared. The all meat pizza was a little disappointing with the amount of meat that was on it, and the herb bread appetizer was super thin too, so the entire meal just about was finished with hardly any leftovers. With tip, it was $100 to eat there, so it was pretty pricey and the value wasn't as high as I would hope. It's not bad though, and it's quite different than most of the other pizza places around. It's definitely worth a try because of it's uniqueness.
