I came expecting more. I waited the 45 minute outside in the parking lot because I thought this would be worth the wait. It wasn't bad. It wasn't great either. It was pretty mid. For the price? I think it wasn't the best investment I've made on a dinner. The menu was a little pedestrian and most of the items are just elevated bar food. The place seems pretty popular. It's loud. The dining room was a combination of couples, couples with children, and people drinking hard. So, I guess they have all your bases covered depending on what you love/hate about a place's ambiance. I wasn't real impressed with the drinks and I wasn't real impressed with the food. I mean my flatbread pizza was fine, but it was pretty on par with a lot of other flatbread pizzas I've had everywhere else. We decided to try dinner here after seeing the positive Yelp reviews and we weren't disappointed. There was a 20 minute wait on a weeknight so you probably want to call ahead for reservations. There isn't a ton of seating but there is a nice atmosphere inside. Once we were seated we tried a bourbon flight with various infused bourbons, and all were quite good. I ordered the Crab & Blackened Shrimp Linguine which was very rich but delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals, so we'll be back when it's time for another bourbon flight. read more

Love it! Found this place based on yelp review. It's hidden in a strip mall. Disappointed- the calamari looks great on yelp but they were out. Reason to come back. So we ordered she crab dip - it's so good. Never thought carrot and the dip works so well together. If you don't mind carb , pita is good as well. Hubby had the Niagara- he usually like Asian food more but as he described - it tasted weird but in a very good way. from him that's a very high complement. I had Turkey wrap - fresh and the bacon add extra texture and flavor. So word is can't wait to come back for more. Their dessert looks nice too , no more room this time. read more

The only Tractor is if they're busy, you have to sit outside there's no waiting room inside of the restaurant which can be problematic if it's raining. They text you when your seat is available if you have to wait outside though. They have infused bourbons and a full bar as well as normal soda and tea. The sandwiches are excellent without too much salt. It does get a bit loud sometimes in here but the weight staff is very attentive and does frequent checks on you. The only reason I didn't get it Five Stars was we had to sit out next-door to them in front of another business while it was raining waiting for a seat inside if they fix that problem that would definitely be five read more

Rude, pompous and disrespectful! as long time supporters of Over the Falls that started as a humble restaurant over the second floor of the Cotton Company we are sad . Been there 2 times recently as a last ditch attempt for a redeeming quality meal. December tried to take my admin staff out for a Christmas luncheon and arrived early with gift bags and small flowers for the table . I wanted to put the gifts at the booth before they arrived which was approximately 5 minutes earlier . I was denied and even though it was empty was not allowed to sit until all arrived . Surprise ruined ! Went tonight with my husband at 3 pm , empty booths , and asked to sit away from the door in a larger booth. Was denied and was told those were for larger parties even though a party of 2 was dining at the same size table I was asking for; we could not sit there and were told they were the owners parents and were special ! Wow , paying customers are not as important? Terrible ! Received 2 salads for $19 each , used be amazing and large , now they scant and disappointing. 1/2 the size and apparently blackened shrimp looks the same as breaded fried shrimp. Sent it back , the manager came to the table and was defensive, loud and rude . After sending the salad back he offered in a condescending tone to add cheese etc to the salad . I declined and asked for him to take it off the bill , he responded he would charge 1/2 the price , I refused and said as a dissatisfied Customer who did not eat the salad I would not be paying for it . I have seen comments about the rising prices and I'm disappointed that the owners are allowing this decline of service and food quality . One of the first places we went to celebrate after signing the contract for the new house. Very pleased with the menu and the service and the bourbon flight was a pleasant surprise although I tend to be a single malt whisky purist. Infusions are not big on my list, but it was a nice change and ideal for the celebration. Enjoyed the food and the service was top notch. Been back there a few times since and its been consistently good. Last was when my daughter came for a visit - being a server herself off and on, she's worked in some highly popular places along the maine coast and she gave this place a thumbs up. This is one of those restaurants that focus on a few simple things - and gets it right with very strong execution. The menu here doesn't surprise - burgers, fish and chips, etc - the standard fare for an "American" cuisine. However what they do - they do right. Our food was expertly prepared and the service (once you get seated) is fast, on point and efficient. Both quality and quantity have an equal place at the table. The plate of fried pickles was enough for 4 rather than 2. The burger was cooked perfectly medium to my wife's spec, and the fish and chips was generous, flakey and crispy. A ton of fries that were hot and delicious accompanies both meals. Great coleslaw too. If there is any downside here, its the very strange wait policy. They will not allow you to wait inside at the bar, but instead you have to wait outside (only 2 tables out there btw). We waited 35 minutes in broiling heat... at least the offer drink service while your waiting. But somebody really needs to rethink that policy - it was brutal. read more

This place is consistently phenomenal. The variety on the menu is great. The food is excellent quality and they are not afraid to kick things up. Burgers, wings, pizza, entrees...it's all good. Favorites are the burgers and the beef on weck. Anyone from upstate NY will especially appreciate that treat! My favorite is the Aloha Burger which I get with the turkey option. Love also their housemade crunchy chips. For fifty cents you can get a dressing dipper for chips or fries or whatever your preference. Highly recommend the roasted pepper horseradish, just sayin. When I arrived there was no wait but my friend wasn't here so I was told I couldn't get a table until both parties were there. I wasn't happy about this new policy but as I understand and it was explained to me, that was fine. When we were both there , less than 10 minutes later, there was now a 30 minute wait and we were told we'd get a text when our table was ready. About 20 minutes into wait I went to check and noticed across from hostess station there is a sign that says no waiting here as you'd block entrance door. This seemed harsh to me and perhaps this sign was new as I don't remember seeing it on past visits. There were two women working at hostess station, one was nice and the other not so nice. I'll just say when you are asking people to stand outside your restaurant in the hot sun for 30 minutes, with no seating, as a family was sitting on the one outdoor couch there is, it is a good idea to have a sweet hostess, not one who acts as if she is doing you a favor by letting you know how much longer your wait is. And reprimands you for asking when only 20 of the 30 minutes has 30 minutes has passed. Now for the happy part, we got a table after 30 minutes, had an excellent waitress and our food came out promptly and delicious. Perhaps OTF can work on adding some seating for those waiting, and some sensitivity training for one of their hostesses. As customers we choose where we go to dine. On this Thursday every seat was full. The service staff was plentiful, friendly and super efficient. The kitchen, too - food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, hot and perfectly prepared. Kudos to the team for a job very well done. Wings are always a good choice here. I had 6, medium, cooked extra crispy. They arrive (6 drums, 6 flats) cooked perfectly crispy. The sauce is a legit medium, tangy enough to tickle the taste buds but not enough to make your eyes water. Wings are sauced but not swimming in sauce. This is how wings should be! Chose sweet potato prices to go with. Served in a slanted metal cup, these are crispy and delicious. Also tried a Midtowner. This is a steak sandwich made with thin sirloin, prepared medium rare as ordered. It's topped with balsamic caramelized red onion, cheddar, fresh spinach and a slather of mayo on a toasted roll. Steak is tender, moist and flavorful. The sweetness of the balsamic combined with the tart spinach accentuate the beef. This is a GOOD sandwich,with fries on the side, with some ketchup for dipping. First, the place is busy and you have to wait outside or in your car.. nothing wrong with it, they are just limited on space. Second the staff is super nice and the kitchen puts out food super fast. The food, ordered the French dip on pretzel roll and the Cali pastrami as well as 3 kids meals (pizza, grilled cheese and chicken tenders).. the 2 sandwiches were both very good. The au jus or the buns are a tad bit on the salty side, but we both thought they were both very good. The kids meals is where they miss. They were all just meh.. the pizza was a big meh, the tenders were a bit overcooked and a grilled cheese is a grilled cheese.. for the price, they could do more. Meal value wise, on the high side but good. I'd try a burger next time and not sure how to handle the kids as their meals were a miss. read more

A great little bar for a few drinks. Situated in a strip mall, this little establishment seems to be a class act. Unfortunately we were unable to find any outdoor seating, but we did have the opportunity to belly up the the comfortable bar and have a few drinks. I just moved to the area And decided to go for lunch with my niece and kids the server was nice and attentive. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the food. I had a Cesar Salad and it was the best I've tasted , usually when I order it the croutons are hard as a rock but they made them crunchy and easy to chew and even the lettuce was perfect. This is the first visit in a long time, and also our first visit sitting in a restaurant but our friends really wanted to meet at a restaurant and we have been vaccinated. The tables were spaced a good distance from each other and the staff all wore masks. The food was great! My husband had the mushroom and Swiss burger with fries and I had the supreme pizza. I wish I had visited Over the Falls when I had the opportunity over the summer. However, I stuck my nose up to the menu and missed out. Over the Falls is outstanding in every way, shape, and form. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff are hardworking and friendly, and the food is phenomenal! I ordered the house infused bourbon flight (Hawaiian, peach, raspberry, and apple pie flavors) for $10. I was blown away by how good their bourbons are!! Hawaiian and apple pie were my favorites by far and would absolutely get those in a larger size next time. My husband ordered the Crab & Blackened Shrimp and Linguine and I ordered the Back-Alley Steak Philly. Both were amazingly delicious (especially my husband's meal). I would hands down come back again. Great bourbon, great staff, and phenomenal meals...what more could you want? Also, shoutout to our waiter for being on top of it with the drinks! I don't run to the internet to complain, as evidenced by me bringing this to the owner, Greg Pearce. Greg must've been having a bad day? The topic is irrelevant but there was a customer service issue and I brought it to his attention.. "not a big deal, but.." Greg immediately got defensive and aggressive. He demanded we settle the issue and went to the host stand (the service problem) Due to Greg's aggressive behavior, I told him I wasn't going to get into it over a customer service issue. He demanded we get to the bottom of it "RIGHT NOW!!" After again relaying my minor concern and listening to his "that didn't happen!" response, I asked Greg if he was calling me a liar.. "yeah, I am". Greg yelled loudly enough that other customers were starting to look and those leaving were just trying to sidestep him to get out. Greg continued with "let's look at the video!" "I'll bet you $5,000 you're lying", all while approaching me aggressively. He repeatedly yelled about the $5,000 ... "Give me your contact info and I'll look at the video!" Literally yelling and still approaching me. (he has my wife's contact info as the host was supposed to text her) I told Greg he was hilarious and he replied "yeah, I am!" In my 65 years, I've rarely witnessed such a gross lack of professionalism by a business owner. Our once-a-month visit, bringing out-of-town guests there and recommending the place has ended.
