Get there soon as things are seasonal and when they run out, they're gone. You still have some time though... But it's alway nice to walk into the store and see all the fancy Cinderella pumpkins ready for the autumn seasons. The amazing selections of fresh cuts flowers which is alway a must to get whenever you're there. They do have some of the best selections to choose from as well as the potted plants and orchids plants. With TJ, even with a list of things to get you still walk out with a cart full of things that was never on the plan. They know how to get you with their things...lol.. I can never leave with what I come for. The isles are alway neat and fully stocked with everything. If there's something that's not there but looking for it, someone is alway there to help you in any way. Staffs are alway so friendly and welcoming. The friendly chit chat while ringing up all your stuffs. It may not be a massive big grocery store but does have everything you need.

And I have to say that I have never had a bad experience in any way. Anyone who has any concept of this store knows that it's not the biggest in terms of selection of everything. It's a smaller store with fewer options but it really doesn't matter. The food they sell is so good. I love their own product line of groceries. Their golden oreo style Joe-Joe's cookies are like crack-cocaine. I can scarf a whole box in one night! I don't do that anymore, I'm in cookie recovery. But I know one of these days I'll fall off the wagon but I'll be fine with that. They have great prepared foods like meatloafs you can toss in the oven when you don't have time to make something from scratch. I love their Atlantic salmon with lemon herb butter. That's really delicious. Sadly, some products come and go. They used to have a sweet onion bacon vinaigrette that was phenomenal. We not only used it in salads but also to saute Brussels sprouts and other veggies. My entire household was sad to see that disappear. They have a great selection of supplements and very affordably priced skin care products which, according to some instagram users, claim are just as good as high end products that sell for a lot more money. Their fresh cut flower section is incredible. They're so fresh and are better quality and the best priced compared to any other grocers who carries flowers. They also have beautiful orchids and many different varieties. They sell a small collection of plants that always gets my attention. And like everything else at TJ's, their prices are better than anywhere else. Lastly, I have to give a shout out to Trader Joe's consistent excellent customer service skills. Trader Joe's is a shining example of a customer-centric culture with really great employees/staff that are engaging, know their product very well, are very willing to help and are down to earth. It reminds me of a bygone era where people were more engaging/friendlier twenty-five or thirty years ago. I think it's important to acknowledge how Trader Joe's shines in every way.

Oh Walmart, another place where you come for one thing but also leave with a shopping cart of items…read moreyou don't even remember getting. That one stop shop where everything is at your disposal...lol... Most of the time when I come here it's for something in particular. You have your mind set on something with your list but then the walking down each isle distracts you and something catches your eye. There goes what you came for and time to throw whatever catches your eye into the shopping cart. Always.... As this is the superstore it is bigger than some of the other locations. I believe there's two superstores in the desert area and give or take a few of the mini store scattered. There's always plenty of parking when you're here. Service on the other hand can be a hit or miss. I've had some nice help from the employees with any questions I had while other times, it's like pulling teeth to get some help and answers from others. The rudeness does shine through in some of them. I get it, retails aren't for the faint of heart but can you just help me with where a certain item is located. I do like that you literally can find anything there. A decent size produce department with pretty much everything stocked. A nice bakery/deli section with fresh hot items prepared daily. Then you have all the frozen sections and so on. A wide selection of clothing for the whole family. Automotive at one corner which it can take a while to get some help in my case. The garden center on the hand is pretty scarce, not much there. Loads of home wares and decors and seasonal items. The only thing I hate, the little department where you would have to purchase something before leaving the area. It is a little pain in the ass with the whole process of paying for one item and then you continue on with your shopping. It's also for other items in the whole store. We had to pay for something small once and then continued with our shopping. A measuring tape to be exact. Overall, I get what Walmart is all about. A one stop shopping.

Finding some things was a little odd, they have an end cap for premade dips that wasn't where it should be. Not being as familiar with this location it turned into an entire experience. The produce and wine, beer and spirits sections being the most functional in terms of organization. The deli, pre-packed goods, bread, baked goods etc area was super limited - expected to find hummus and spreads here like at other locations or pretty much any grocery store in SoCal, but they like to keep you on your toes lol We were able to get help whenever we needed it and reasonable prices as to be expected. The isles are solid though some odd end caps and displays here and there. It's still got that vintage aesthetic with very modern touches I've been noticing at all Staters - mostly on the outer halves of the store. Huge parking lot with shared businesses (including a very nice carwash, fast eats and more), though not quite as big as the other Vista Chino location. Friendly staff, clerks and security make for a nice grocery going experience.

I returned a week later and I assumed they were back on sale since the sign was on the kiosk. I attempted to check out (store manager was checking) I advised about the price confusion, he sent an associate to verify the sign(they brought him the sign) however he stated because it was alcohol the company policy was not to make any price adjustment. I was offered 1 bottle for .99...which came off as a demeaning offer. I said no thanks and simply said I had never heard of a grocery store refusing to honor a mispriced item. I called corporate , there is no company policy regarding alcohol vs. other store items. The store has lost a good customer over $2.50, but it was the principle of the matter....I now have to drive 15 minutes further, but oh well.

*All Pretty Good at ALDI*…read more I've known about ALDI for years, but there's none on the Westside of LA. I'm fully aware of their history and relationship with Trader Joe's. Love TJ's. But I've never shopped at an ALDI. Finally decided to check out this ALDI, after grabbing a few things at Sprouts next-door. It's not too often there's two major commercial grocery stores located right smack next to each other. The parking lot is huge so there's no issues landing a parking space at this fairly large shopping plaza on the corner of Gene Autry & Ramon in Palm Springs. Inside, ALDI is slightly spacious, clean and the aisles are nice & wide. I walked up & down every aisle...and was very surprised to find 3 things: Organic Hummus for $2.79 Organic Persian Cucumbers. 1lb package of 8 mini cucs for $3.49 The hummus is fantastic. All natural ingredients. Made with olive oil. No seed oils, artificial crap or fake chemical fillers. Bought "the classic" (my fav) and "roasted red pepper" (wifey's fav) She was pleasantly surprised too how great it is. This is now definitely going to be included in our grocery store rotation. The Persian cucumbers are fresh & crisp and perfecto. It's been 4 days since I got them and they're still just as good & ripe, without any soft mushy spots. Usually when I buy these from other stores, they begin to spoil way too quickly. Sorry Trader Joe's. Also picked up a package of Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil. 50sq ft for $4.99. Great low price and quality. A couple things I noticed tho...only one checkout stand was open, and there was a steady flow of customers. 3 people in line ahead of me, with 3 more in back of me. Lots of customers still shopping. During my entire time at the store, spanning 20+ minutes, I did not see one other ALDI team member in the entire store. It was mid afternoon so it's not like it was primetime lunch break. Not sure if this is the norm or a one-off short-handed day? Nonetheless, since I had a little extra time to spare, I was okay with it. This time. Others tho in the store didn't seem too thrilled. I don't blame them. The girl at the checkout stand was very aloof and not welcoming. Seemed robotic...and didn't come across as if she wanted to be there. Acted as tho she was doing us all a favor being there. Most of us even bagged our own groceries in our own bags. I hope she understands and realizes we customers contribute to paying her salary...and if she keeps this up, one day soon an AI robot will take away her job. I hope not because good customer service is very crucial to enhance the chore of grocery shopping. It's one of the reasons I enjoying shopping at all Trader Joe's -- very friendly & welcoming team members. There's another ALDI in Palm Desert. I intend to check it out and compare. I'll be back later with some more constructive feedback ;-)
