Wandered in here while on the way to check out the cherry blossoms in high park. Gorgeous interior! Loved the ambience and Troy (owner?) was very welcoming and made us feel very welcome. Tried a half caff Americano and it was really delicious! Also grabbed a Oreo cookie which was a cookie with crushed up Oreos in it..... DEELISH! I loved that they have the wifi password posted at the cash register as well. Lovely place and can't wait to return. read more

This is a very nice, cozy coffee shop. I really liked how they open the doors to their patio facing bloor street on warm days! My single Americano was delicious flavouring for only 2.75which is pretty average pricing. I found it really cool how they roast there own coffee in house and you can actually see it: the man who owns the shop told me about it and let me know a lot about the coffee they sell. Overally it was a nice coffee outing and I will be back since I'm in the neighbs often. read more

I ventured here randomly one day as I was waiting for a friend and needed some time to kill. The shop was very nicely decorated and clean, it gave a very indie/contemporary vibe to the atmosphere. I really like the fact how there was a lot of natural lighting in the shop, it made studying really enjoyable. As for the coffee, I ordered a dark roast and boy oh boy, it was very delicious. I'd definitely take a visit here again given that I am in the area. read more

The coffee is pretty good. But the croissant. Let me tell you about their ham and cheese butter croissant. I had it warmed up and it still retained its crispiness several layers in. There are many, many layers, so you know they're using that butter right. At $6 it IS a little steep though. Baristas are friendly and the space is nice enough. Easily the best coffee offering on Bloor West right now. While I'm still a coffee newbie, the array of other reviews of this place indicate just how good their offerings are. Their baked good are delicious, too. While its short on seating for weekend crowds, I've never had trouble grabbing a seat when I've visited during the week. read more

You would think a coffee shop in the West End with barristas who wear bow ties every day is either expensive or has over rated coffee... definitely not the case with Outpost. Meticulously made coffee every time, great space with a great feel, very knowledgeable service (also quick and friendly) and some spectacular food options if you're hungry or need to accompany your cappucino with a decadent pastry. Highly recommend if you are in the area. read more

The first thing that I loved was the service. The guy behind the counter is super friendly and we chatted about his past/my current profession: electrical engineering. I ordered a cappuccino with single herd milk and a lemon raspberry brioche. The cap foam hit me quite intensely but the rest of the cappuccino was so smooth, I was upset to see the bottom of the cup! Admittedly I didn't taste the difference of the single herd milk (a 50cent adder) but who cares! The brioche was delicious!!! They have a selection of pastries that looked awesome but lemon and raspberry is my siren song so I was left really happy with that decision. The decor is industrial chic, and they have a few tables. They were almost full but comfortably so. In any case I had no problem finding a seat. All in all, this place made me wish I lived in this hood again! read more

Took my 4 month old while we waited for my skates to be sharpened. 2 customers rushed to help me with the stroller (they do have a ramp into the store, but my stroller is large and difficult to maneuver). The staff were extremely friendly and patient with us. The price was great ($12 for a delicious chai latte, big donut from Bloomers and a bottle of kombucha). We will definitely be back! read more

Always pop in here for a freshly roasted coffee, Americano or espresso type drink in the late afternoon. They freshly roast their beans a few times a week and you can definitely tell! So good, I've yet to find fresher tasting coffee in the city because of it. Very friendly service too! read more

Hands down my favourite in the area (including Runnymede and Roncy.) Some might argue Cherry Bomb, and certainly the two coffees compete, but the service is the 'cherry on top' here. Always friendly (never a pout behind this counter) and very knowledgeable. Coffee is an art here, and is respected like good wine! read more

This is a wonderful place to relax and their baristas do a superb job every time. Troy and Catherine have created more than a café. Because of their warmth, hospitality and individual attention to their customers, they've opened up what feels like a little community gathering spot for visiting and conversation. If you're not a local, or don't feel like conviviality, you can just zone out into one of their lattes over a book or newspaper (or yeast donut...the very best I've ever tasted. You'll never be able to eat a regular, factory made, chain restaurant donut again. :) This place is the best thing to happen to the neighbourhood in years. read more

I've come here a few times and have never been disappointed. Everybody is very friendly and their coffee is amazing. Their cappuccinos are well made, drip coffee is good and I've started buying their roasted beans for my espresso at home. Their beans are good, not super strong and a little on the sweeter side. They also have delicious gluten free cookies. read more

With a selection of gluten free that was made by someone who eats gluten free and can create great texture and flavour, and sniff jars with loose leaf tea, eye contact, offered water for my dog when I sat out front tables, and just easy friendly in a great local. There are definitely other coffee shops closer to me, but I go out of my way to get outpost coffee. They make wonderful espresso and carry the most delicious brand of 'fancy milk' that elevates every drink it's added to. And their snack offerings are excellent. Fluffy bagels, rich muffins, doughnuts that I won't try because based on their looks alone I know I'll become obsessed and all at really great prices. Great little cafe! Tasty treats are available (the ginger molasses cookies are soft and chewy and not too sugary). The cappuccinos are lovely and they can add the sugar directly to the coffee if you'd like. The tea selection is great (the cherry tea in particular is delicious). The staff are super- friendly and attentive, they are a pleasure to interact with. The atmosphere is lovely for a good conversation or a study break with the music in the background being conducive to both. The space itself is awesome- airy, light, fresh, clean, and modern. There is also wifi available, which is nice for a cafe as it allows me to read articles online. Great spot to grab a quick coffee on the run or to sit down and catch up with a friend on a Sunday morning. Super friendly and engaging barista staff, that never gets flustered even when they have a rush of customers. Tip: bring your own travel mug and you'll get more coffee than their standard to go cups. This is a very well run Cafe. Staff and owner are exceptionally and consistently friendly. Nice selection of vegan/non-vegan desserts. Crowd is regular, non pretentious people, at least whenever I've been there. Oh ya, the lattes are excellent. I like that they use unsweetened almond milk. Most of the food is delicious, not a fan of the breakfast wrap though, staff all very knowledgeable, and coffee is high quality and not too expensive. Adorable staff uniforms include bowties. I think they roast their beans there, but i've never actually asked so not sure. Would absolutely suggest to anyone looking for an alternative to the corporations. read more

Had a coffe,one I had never heard of before.A unique taste,and very enjoyable. Then,a sandwich(?). Two types of Italian salami,on a focaccia bun. Immediately forgot the names of the meat. A tomato slice. Some sort of dressing. Details not important. This was ONE DELICIOUS sandwich!!! How could something so simple ,taste so good? Love the place. read more
