Dropped by Coffee Tree and have a cappuccino using Indie Coffee Passport. Coffee Tree is a great neighbourhood Coffee Shop. On this particular afternoon, there were a lot of locals hanging out here.. sipping their coffee with snacks and surfing the Internet using Coffee Tree's Wifi connection. Coffee beans here are going for $20/lb and up with Blue Mountain selling for $60!! But since Coffee Tree roasted all their organic coffee in small batches, I guess that's the price to pay. Watching the actual roasting process was kind of interesting though. Small sized Cappuccino was served in a see through glass mug. The froth was thick and creamy resulted in the presentation. It was kind of pretty to look at and looks interesting in my photo..... And if you are not into coffee, you can still enjoy a cup of tea at Coffee Tree as they serves and sells tea from The Tea Emporium!

The setup is really nice for the cafe with lots of seating and nice interior. They apparently roast their own beans as well. Now for the main attraction the cappuccino I ordered mine with a sweetener and Barista forgot to add it in. No biggie happens all the time and I was offered a new drink for free but I declined. The presentation is different from your regular cappuccinos as its served in a glass mug (you can see the nice layers) The drink itself was bad initial taste was extremely bitter. It did mellow out a bit as the milk mixed in with the drink. No latte art to speak of as the milk was frothed (not very well I might add) and just dolloped on the espresso shot. I finished half of my drink and left. 1.5 star for cappuccino 3 stars for the setup There is a much better option across the street so if I have to I would rather drink over there

Very good coffee... Had a dog dish outside by the sidewalk... My dog enjoyed the water... Very tight inside for a wheelchair though but everybody was accommodating to make way for my wheelchair to get from one end of the place to the other... Pretty cool Decor inside

One of the best coffee shops in Toronto. $2.55 for a medium size drip coffee. You could only find the supreme quality of drip coffee here (Coffee Tree Roastery) and Moonbean coffee at Kensington Market.

Cozy little cafe with lots of coffee selection! I had a double shot cappuccino that was very flavourful and strong, which is what I like! My boyfriend, however, didn't like his Kenyan drip coffee and found it bland and watered down, and the take home coffee is quite pricey (hence the 4 stars). I do like the seating area inside and out (they have a cute patio area ins the back), and they have cool coffee machines and gadgets everywhere! I'm also a big fan of their coffee station, where they use reusable spoons instead of stir sticks, and big jars of brown sugar and jugs of cream so we aren't using individually packed sugar/cream. Yummy AND environmentally friendly...score! :)

I bought an apple cider from here and it was quite possibly the worst apple cider I've ever had in my life. It was just warm really really really sweet apple juice. I mean, perhaps it's unfair for me to give a poor review to this establishment based on that, but COME ON. It's apple cider. CIDER. NOT JUICE. Don't try and pass it off as some great warm lovely alternative to coffee or tea and then have it be half-assed. Okay. I feel better. I will now try and end this review on a positive note. Nah. I'm still peeved about the cider.

Caution to coffice-workers: despite Siri* recommending this place as a wifi spot, they do not currently have wifi - but worse - they do not even have a single plug in the cafe. As I write this, my battery is dying super fast. The tea I bought cost a good 80 cents more than Starbucks. Tastes ok. *iOS 6 Beta

I get my espresso beans here every 2 weeks, the prices are fair and the roast is always spot on. So far I have tried Ethiopian: Dark roast, smokey Peru House Planning to try: Brazil and Costa Rica next My favorite is the house blend Will be back soon for more, the beans are roasted fresh in house, and the tarts looks delicious, I look forward to trying!

    The Junction

This hidden gem in the Junction (Toronto) is a roastery slash space for coffee enthusiasts and…read morenomads. This beautiful spot also boasts some great baristas with so much bean knowledge--ask them anything! Always a great time to chat. I have been here a few times and this time, actually stayed for a few hours to get some work done. Located in the industrial part of the Junction the space presents itself industrial but filled with warmths. When you walk in, you will see immediately a long coffee bar with various coffee machines for your pour overs, cappuchinos, espresso etc. At the far back, giant machines (roasting things perhaps), workspace for the techs (I think) and a beautiful graffiti art on the back wall. The main seating area comprises of high bar stools, a few desks area with sockets and roman theatre style steps with some tables that you can work from (also with sockets) or just chat away. There is a section in the shop that is a retain space with all the beans you can buy to go and various coffee related pieces. Commute wise, it is not the easiest but it is steps away from St. Clair/Keele. Definitely worth checking out--their coffee is so so so good! Drivers, street side parking available :D

I was charged $82.26 for a kilo of coffee. I ordered it on a Monday and paid $10.41 for "1 business…read moreday shipping". I was told in their "chat" that it would arrive on Wednesday (two days later) and, if not, on Thursday. Just received an email from them saying it will arrive on Monday, a full week after I ordered. When I asked what the $10.41 was for if it takes a week to receive, I was told about their process and that "we have this stated in multiple places, including the banner of our home page and every product page". That doesn't explain why I was told something different in "chat". Their coffee is good but not $82.26 and a one-week delivery good.
