Wine tasting on a Friday afternoon? Sign me up with haste. Staff here is all very friendly. We did…read morethe flight of 4 wine tasting. The pours were generous. You get to pick anything from their menu. We tried a fabulous orange colored wine and the special New mexican green chile wine. I'm not sure if I'd want a whole glass of that - but it was fun to try. My stomach was a little tired of green chile at this point. We had a fabulous time walking around the adjoining art gallery, sitting on the patio, strolling thru the gift shop. This is such a fabulous space.

August 21, 2026 - Old Town, Albuquerque…read more We poked our heads in to ask about outdoor seating since we had our pup with us, and were greeted by a super friendly employee who pointed us toward the patio in front of the building. Dog-friendly seating? Off to a good start. We decided to do some wine tastings and share a charcuterie board. There was a different employee in this part of the winery. My husband mentioned that he couldn't have gluten and asked if there was a gluten-free alternative to the bread/crackers. Imagine my surprise when the board arrived with... tortilla chips. For a place that also specializes in gourmet foods, I was expecting something a little more exciting than chips. Gluten-free crackers, anyone? The wines were nice, and we really enjoyed sitting outside. The only other slight downer was the service. When I went inside for another tasting, I casually asked the server, "How's your day going?" His response: "I'm here." Well... I guess technically that answers the question. Clearly, he was having an off day. It happens, but you can't help but pick up on that energy when you're trying to relax and enjoy some wine. Overall, we had a nice time, enjoyed the patio with our pup, and even bought a bottle of Tighty Whitey White to take home. A couple of little misses, but nothing that would keep us from coming back.

The catch of the day was the mahi with polenta and let me just say that plate was almost licked clean. Great portion sizes, great flavor, quick service even on a busy Saturday night and amazing wine selection. They have bottles available to purchase in the restaurant as well and we loved the Garnacha 2022 and the Cab Sauvignon which we tried in their wine flight.

Hidden Gem in Nobhill Albuquerque…read more I recently visited the restaurant at Mission Winery and had a great experience from start to finish. To start, I ordered the sangria and the crab & artichoke dip. The sangria was on the sweeter side but not overwhelmingly so, making it easy to enjoy with the appetizer. The dip was delicious, creamy, and packed with flavor, although I honestly couldn't taste much artichoke. It was still a great starter, especially paired with the bread. For dinner, I ordered the red chile fried chicken bites with fries. The chicken was the standout of the meal--crispy, flavorful, and coated in a delicious red chile sauce that had just the right amount of kick. The fries were perfectly cooked and paired well with the ketchup. My friend shared the appetizer with me and ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad, which she enjoyed alongside one of the wine tasting flights. The real surprise of the evening came after dinner. Our host handed us a card with a password to access the speakeasy downstairs. If you visit Mission Winery, don't skip this part. The speakeasy had a completely different atmosphere from the restaurant above and quickly became the highlight of the night. The space feels intimate, sophisticated, and thoughtfully designed, with dark wood accents, comfortable seating, and a stylish lounge vibe. My friend and I both ordered espresso martinis, and they were fantastic. The presentation alone was impressive--the unique glassware was chilled and helped keep the cocktail cold longer, allowing us to enjoy it at a relaxed pace. Between the excellent food, wine, creative cocktails, and the hidden speakeasy experience, Mission Winery offers much more than just a typical dinner out. The restaurant was great, but the speakeasy downstairs is what will have me coming back. Recommendation: Start with dinner upstairs, then ask about the speakeasy password and finish your evening downstairs with an espresso martini. It's one of the coolest date night or girls' night experiences I've found in Albuquerque.

There were two other couples in the restaurant and throughout the full hour we were there, we were never checked on- we had to go up to the bar numerous times to ask for basics- water, cutlery, napkins etc. The charcuterie board we ordered was really poor quality. We ate some of the meat from the board and let them know we didn't love it. I asked to pay for the meat and remove the rest- waited about 20 mins for the check and the manager shared that she can't do anything and we should've eaten it there are a lot of great places at Saw Mill & I would recommend stealing clear or the poor service and sad snacks.

Waitress immediately came over and took our drink orders and was super friendly. We started with the Chorizo Rellenos which were absolutely amazing. I don't think I've had a better appetizer than this before honestly. The downfall was the entrees unfortunately. I'll start with hubby's dish which was the Shrimp Scampi. He took one bite and looked so discouraged so he asked me to taste it. All I could taste on that first bite was an overwhelming amount of Garlic. We love garlic but this was either burnt or saturated... It was bloody awful and inedible. My green chile chicken was no better but after insisting to hubby to ask for another dish I just kept eating mine while he waited for a hamburger. My dish had no flavor at all. I added salt after salt after salt and nothing could revive this dish. After all that salt my feet literally swelled up on the drive home but that's another issue. My poor hubby waited and waited while I ate and his burger never came. After 20 minutes he got mad and decided to pay - while paying his burger finally came out but he was too upset to eat so we just paid and left. Unfortunately I was not able to get a better experience on this visit

We had originally…read moretried to go up to to the rooftop bar (Level 5) at the newly opened Hotel Chaco, but we were told it was completely booked up there (tip: make a reservation in advance if you're looking to check out the rooftop). The very friendly hotel staff pointed us to Crafted NM instead, which is Hotel Chaco's ground-level bar. We weren't sure if we would be able to get in last minute, but we lucked out! Alec greeted us right away and set us up in a gorgeous corner of the patio. From there, the evening just got better and better. The menu at Crafted is AMAZING. There are a ton of local wines and you can opt to do a flight if you're curious. I did a port flight and loved it. I don't often see this on menus so it was a welcome surprise. Each pour in the flight was delicious and I loved getting to sample some local products. My fiancé got a glass of red from local winery Gruet, and later found out from Alec that it was a special, limited-edition wine from a partnership between Gruet and Crafted. Apparently you can't find it in stores, so this is the place to come for it! Separately, the food menu looked delicious but we held back since we were on our way to dinner (but in hindsight, should have gotten a snack). The gougères on the menu looked particularly appetizing! Thanks to Alec for being so welcoming, efficient, and pleasant to talk to.

Crafted is very nice in sort of a classy way! Dave was educated, as should anyone who is serving wine. Myself being an expert in California wine I put him through the test! I have to give the small producers credit for their craft in the area. Give Crated a try and ask lots of questions!!!
