The haircut was ok but I was not happy with the appointment and customer service…read more I called and scheduled a haircut appointment with Tina. I specifically asked for Tina because I had read great reviews for her online. When I arrived to my appointment, I was sat down and Kevin started to cut my hair instead of Tina. They said that Kevin was available now and that Tina was still busy with the prior customer. They didn't give me a choice to wait for Tina and I felt extremely pressured to just accept the haircut with Kevin. I was reluctant but hoping for the best. Overall, the haircut that I received with Kevin was ok but not great. In my opinion, not worth the cheaper price if it's unclear who will be cutting your hair.

Today was that day, Helen was the one who made it happen. I was originally scheduled for a new customer appointment with Meghan and we had to move the appointment. Helen listened to (and looked at) what I wanted to achieve and told me what would be needed to get there. She was detailed, confident, and so knowledgable -- I could not have felt I was in better hands. I knew even as she started I'd finally land where I wanted with my color. I moved here a few years back and could not let go of my old hair dresser. I finally decided, to try and find a new salon in the Boston-area. For extra reference, I did a LOT of research: comparing location, price, distance from my own home, and then ofcourse the staff. Cleo did a tremendous job of keeping their website up to date so that you are able to get to know the team. In addition, they keep their Instagram updated daily, sharing last minute appointment slots, and fun-facts about their stylists. I was really nervous but was connected with Nikki, who was absolutely amazing. Nikki took the time to get to know me and my hair, in addition to following everything I asked for! She did not overcut my long hair, and layered it exactly how I had wished for. I would highly recommend following the Cleo Instagram (@cleosalonboston) and looking for Nikki's page to get a feel for her experience. 10/10 recommend. In regards to pricing and location, Cleo's curated cut was very reasonable in comparison to other salons that typically charge over $100. The location is just off of Cambridge street and there is street parking all over! It was easy to get in and out of the area. Highly recommend!

I called to make a last minute appointment and Dana graciously invited me to come in so she could assess my hair and recommend the best option for my thick, straight Japanese hair. I was looking for volume with defined curls, and she suggested an airwave perm, which ended up being the perfect choice. I was given a wonderful shampoo and conditioning by a kind employee. Following the wash, Dana gave me a quick trim to add some layers and remove bulk from my one-length cut, and then really got to work. About 2.5 hours later, I walked out of the salon with beautiful, bouncy curls that looked just like the reference photos I brought in. Even better, I was told the perm should last about a year with proper care, which makes it totally worth it. I was also provided some fantastic Japanese hair serum, which was so kind and appreciated! The entire team was attentive, kind, professional, and made the experience so enjoyable. I highly recommend Beautiful Cuts and will absolutely be back!
