She treats your hair like a canvas, taking her time to handle each strand with precision, with a keen eye for detail. It's a science she is passionate about and you leave feeling like a movie star. She's also one of the realest people I've had the privilege to do my hair. Caring, welcoming and generous. She listens and exceeds what you could imagine your best hair day to be. Mind blown I am new to the area, took a chance on a salon and it didn't work out. In my panic I was referred to Lola Hair Studio. There was no way I could leave my hair the way it was but I was also now scared to even touch it. I reached out on a Thursday and made the appointment, explained my needs and right away they had me scheduled and my client data in their system. This generated reminder messages and updates and was very easy to use. They took me in a Monday night @ 7:15 MONDAY! Can you believe it? I got there and was greater right away! Anna, the owner came over and got me settled, she would be cutting my hair and she immediately made me feel comfortable with my choice to fix my hair. Her consultation was on point, she understood my hair, talked about it's texture and movement then explained why the last cut just wasn't complementary. She shared the cost of service upfront which I also appreciated. Off to the wash bowl! Wonderful shampoo service with luxurious products. What an experience ‍ back to the chair! I was so relaxed I closed my eyes from time to time, letting Anna work some magic ‍ Did I mention my mind was blown? My hair! Fantastic! My smile! huge! What a beautiful job she did with that razor! Yes a razor, it's a good tool for my hair type and she's a genius. Make an appointment here, it will be a sure thing vs a chance! You know you got an amazing haircut when it looks just as sweet waking up in the morning! The Good: Service was friendly The Bad: The appointment took an hour give or take 5 minutes. At checkout they surprised me with an additional $37 charge due to over time? So needless to say, I left feeling ripped off and taken advantage of. Maybe tell people this before they book the appointment and be more forthright. I had a couple of great haircuts here. But my last two haircuts have left me less than satisfied and I won't return. One required a correction a few days later due to bangs being trimmed unevenly. The most recent, took all of 15 minutes. I asked for a trim and to add more definition to my long curtain bangs. The stylist cut thick heavy face framing pieces and didn't add any definition or trim the rest of my head. I was in shock at how severe it looked when she started blow drying me and all of sudden I was paying over a $100 for half a haircut. read more

KERRI IS A GODSEND. If that's all you read, that's what you need to know. (one downfall is listed at the end) For starters: I have type 2C/3A curly hair and had been dying it red for a couple of years before deciding to try turquoise because, hey I was 50 days into quarantine. I did it myself and everything was fine and dandy until it faded to a horrendous green color that looked like swamp water. I couldn't take it anymore and decided I wanted to go back to blonde (I'm naturally dirty blonde but wanted to try a lighter blonde this time). I read that this salon was one of the best for blonde highlights and saw that other women with curly hair gave good reviews. The Zoom consultation went great and Kerri assured me that we would get the green out. I was nervous because I had never had my hair professionally colored nor had I ever put bleach on it. When I went for my first appointment, I was very satisfied with the efforts they made to keep the salon safe during Covid-19. Carolina greeted me and is so incredibly sweet. I even called the day before to ask a question and she helped me out. Kerri explained what she was doing the entire time and was incredibly patient when it took 4 hours that first session just to get most of the green out. She glazed it the best she could so my hair wasn't the worst color when I left, but it wasn't the best, but definitely better than swamp water (lol). I only had to wait about two weeks before I went for my second appointment. This time she had another stylist helping her on my head, working to get the rest of the green out as soon as I showed up. It was insane with how fast they foiled my hair!! And like that, the green was out and it was time to go blonde! At the end of the session, I was extremely surprised to see that my hair color ended up being very similar to my natural color! It looked amazing, and the entire process, my hair still felt fairly healthy despite everything it went through! Kerri made sure to do the least amount of damage to my hair and I really appreciate that--having curly hair, that was something I was worried about. The one downfall I will admit, despite how much I loved the service and the outcome, is that it was initially estimated by Kerri it would take two sessions to get to the level of blonde I had originally wanted and she even gave me a rough price estimate. Perfect. But then, at the end of the second session, when I saw my hair wasn't the level of blonde I had asked for, I did feel disappointed. When I asked, Kerri said she would need a third session to get me to that level. Totally fine, not a problem, and I get that she can't predict the future and how my hair will react each time. However, I wish she had notified me of this as soon as she realized I would need the third session so I 1. knew not to expect that light blonde when they finally revealed the color (the hide it by not placing mirrors in the coloring area because you can't tell what the color truly will be until it's dry--makes sense!) and 2. was prepared to spend more money. I booked the third appointment while I was there but later decided to cancel it because I truly do love the color I'm at now and don't want to damage my hair anymore. When I decide to go lighter, I will be going back to Lola FOR SURE!!!! ***I ended up getting my hair cut by my regular stylist at another salon I added some photos: -turquoise hair in it's prime -swamp water hair -hair post-first session -hair post-second session -hair post new haircut read more

And she's so much fun to speak with -- and also fine with you putting your ear buds in and doing your own thing. I just recently got my hair cut here and at first I loved the experience. My stylist was very considerate and talked me through adding some long bangs. I got a little worried during the cut though as she was adding layers in a way I'd never seen before. It wasn't until after I paid for my haircut and got home that I realized that the back of my hair had the choppiest layers i have ever seen. I wish I would've been shown the back of my hair in the salon because that would've saved me from then having to go back later that day to get my hair fixed. Even after getting it fixed the layers added are so short and awkward that I now have what looks like a very choppy long bob and not the cleaner look I was hoping for . I'm glad my stylist tried to fix my hair the same day but I don't know why she would've added such short layers in the first place. Overall it was a really stressful day and I paid $100+ for a haircut that I really am not sure I like. read more

Anna took the time to sit with me to discuss my hair and what kind of haircut I was looking for. She really listened, and gave me an amazing haircut.
