Let me first say that I've been going to this location for over 16 years (if not longer). & although they've had their ups and downs, as of late, they have been fantastic. Amazing service, consistent in flavor, & overall a top tier experience. The steak was cooked to the exact temperature requested (medium), the wings were piping hot in temperature, & the lobster tail is always a win. Safe to say we can put the rumors of Outback going out of business to rest. At least for as long as I'm around! read more

Don't be hating on Outback, y'all! We had a quick dinner here a few times, and each dining experience has been pretty on point - service has been super friendly and attentive, and all our items have come out perfectly. The menu is pretty extensive, offering various apps, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, chicken/rib/seafood entrees, steaks, combos, sides, desserts, and drinks. We usually stick with: +the Bloomin' Fried Shrimp - hand-bread and fried, served with a side of the spicy bloom sauce; this is right out of the fryer, so it's crispy and tasty; the sauce is thick & creamy, complementing the shrimp well; pro tip: any leftovers, you can make it into a shrimp po' boy! +the 18 oz Bone-in Ribeye +the Outback Center-Cut Sirloin Don't forget to order a sauce cup of the garlic butter! The steaks have always been perfectly grilled at the requested temperature! The entrees come with 2 sides, in which we usually go for the House/Caesar salad and the loaded baked potato. Plenty of seating, but try to request one of the booths - there's also a bar area as well. Ample parking in the strip plaza lot. +perfectly cooked steaks +shareables +friendly & attentive staff +ample parking read more

Customer service was good. I usually get a steak but had a taste for a burger. The burger wasn't hitting it for me. The drink I originally wasn't available as they didn't have one of the alcohols needed for it. My backup choice was decent. read more

My mom, sister and I decided to go outback for a meal since we hadn't been together in while. This place did not disappoint. Our apps of choice was kookaburra wings medium extra crispy and a small order of loaded fries. The apps came out and they were hot and delicious! The customer service was amazing. Our waitress waited for us to be near finished before she put in our entrees. Which was the lobster tail dinner, ribeye with a delicious chimicurri and I had a crock of chili and side salad. My mom had two Michelob Ultras but for me the bell of the ball was one of the Spring drink specials the Wallaby Darned regular and another Wallaby Darned down under with raspberry SVEDA, which the manager suggested it was absolutely delightful. He even mixed it for me. I am on a lifestyle change and hadn't had any drinks or sugar this was not overly sweet worth every sip This has to be the best Outback in VA. The only reason I couldn't give a 5 was because the bathrooms were quite nasty. My mom did tell the server who informed the manager. read more

Sat in bar booth. Bartender was very attentive. Food was fast and hot. Delicious brown bread. The blackberry martini was a little too sweet and fake fruit tasting (not bad just not a repeat drink for me). Got the 3 course steak meal and finished off with chocolate brownie dessert. Poor staffing. Don't seem interested in customer satisfaction. Food is good. Not what it used to be.

It was on point! The food was great and order was just as I ordered. The customers service for pickup was wonderfully professional and fast

Outback's are mostly all the same anywhere you go. What has made my experience at this outback in Potomac Mills Road aside from the delicious food is the bartender Sam! She is so kind, very attentive, helps at the front door if no one is there and she always has a smile on her face. This is now my 3rd time here as I am visiting from out of town and she has made my visit to Outback amazing!!!! Sam will take great care of you at the bar so I highly recommend this location just for Sam alone. read more

I usually love this location. My sons like to eat here on their birthdays. So, I took my family here to eat on Christmas Eve. We were seated at a spacious table. I hadn't been out to eat in 5 weeks due to knee surgery, so I looked forward to this! Ordered the trio appetizer. The sticks and cheese fries were good, but the onion petals were not warm. I ordered a 36 dollar filet mignon topped with shrimp. The filet came without shrimp and the baked potato had very little toppings. I asked for the shrimp and some extra toppings for the potato so it wouldn't be too dry to eat. It was frustrating to have to ask for something that should have been included. The most surprising part were the burgers. We ordered two. They look nothing like the menu. The meat was mushy although it was cooked. My son noticed it too and couldn't eat his. The waitress took it off the bill and offered to get him something else. We paid for an 11 dollar sundae in place of the burger. I didn't want to make a scene so I just asked about the odd burger texture. She said that they had changed meat vendors. I'm finished for a while with Outback. No need to pay so much for a meal that only disappoints. Next holiday...we eat at home! I've learned not to trust my holiday experience to a restaurant. read more

I came here for the 3 course Aussie meal and the experience was pretty average. The service here is honestly subpar, they take forever to bring the food and they do not check in on you. When the food came in it was mostly overcooked which is interesting because i had asked medium rare but it was so tough and did not end up eating it all. Couldn't order another since it would take probably another hour to get. The bread was pretty good but not on the same level as Texas Roadhouse or cheesecake. The cheesecake was decent enough but not mind blowing. Then the baked potato soup was probably the star of the show. The environment i would say is nice. But I do not think I will be returning sadly. read more

Stopped in for weekday dinner. We saw advertised a 3 course meal deal but it seems like this location wasn't participating. I did end up getting a steak with a salad and veggies. The steak was very tasty. The salad was also good but I think next time I would ask for the dressing on the side since they pre add it on for you and it was a bit too much for my liking. The price is a bit expensive for steaks but it's definitely expected. Our server was good and the food was good. read more

had a red meat craving and decided to checkout outback. seen they had a chimichurri filet ordered via grubhub and it was amazing only negative was the onion strings that come with it was too salty... enjoyed my filet so much that i went to dine in the following day and ordered the same thing including a extra side of chili which was delicious as well! i hope the chimichurri stays on the menu!!!! read more

Decided to go to the Outback this weekend. Haven't been in forever and wow the food we really good. Our waitress Stephanie was very attentive. Our food came out quickly and everything was delicious. I come here often. Today I had a long blonde hair in my mouth while eating. My hair is black. I showed the waitress. She got her manager and his excuse was horrible. He told me that they don't anyone with blonde/brown hair. That everyone has black hair or they were bald. He said that since I ate most of my food it was nothing he could do. They lost a loyal customer. read more

MUCH BETTER experience this time ... THANK YOU Outback/Potomac Festival! I feel horrible for forgetting our server's name because he definitely deserves a shout out. Somebody in the kitchen was aiming to please today ... my husband totally enjoyed his food and I was super happy my blooming onion wasn't greasy or messy looking this time. One MINOR complaint ... no blue cheese olives for my dirty martini. Overall impressive experience for Outback tho'! (P.S. Late post. Date of visit: 12/23/23) read more

No way does the price reflect the quality. Steaks were so mediocre. I could get better meat at a cheap grocery store. Bought 2 8oz sirloin steaks with 2 sides, sweet potato and fries. The sweet potato was amazing. The steaks were ordered medium rare and were cooked so. However there was no seasoning on steaks whatsoever and they were tough and the gristle made them stringy. I also ordered the sweet and spicy chicken with 8oz sirloin combo with added shrimp... the chicken and Shrimp were amazing, however the steak was just like the others no seasoning tough and stringy. Also ordered Tazmania chili no beans but tried it anyways. Had maybe 2 pieces of diced steak... this trip was kind of a let down will try another day.... read more

Excellent Service. What I ordered was great. I never eat the steaks here, so I can't comment on that. I'm trapped in the shrimp offerings. I already knew the Alfredo dish was pretty bland, so I was excites to see the Hot Honey Shrimp, and happy the seasonal veggies were squash and zuch's.... definitely a winner dish for me, when forced to go to Outback by my party. whoo hooooooooooo.. finally something delicious... today I am happy. read more

We haven't dined in at this restaurant because the reviews are so bad. However, we've had gift cards for a while so we decided to go with low expectations. We were pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent and we enjoyed our food. I ordered the sirloin and Lobster tail special. My hubby ordered the sirloin and ribs. Both of us also had loaded baked potatoes and house salads. My kids ordered kids meals and actually liked them. The bread was warm and fresh. No complaints. I will add that we arrived a little before 5 on a Friday. We'll be back. It had been a while since Mom and I spent the day together so we decided to go for a special lunch as well. It had been at least two years since I had been to one of these restaurants, and location was close to her house. Actually the last time that I had steak was when I came here, again years ago. After spending a little time with the menu, I decided to order the ribeye 13 ounce steak which included two sides. I went for the Caesar salad and Aussie fires for the two sides. My Mom chose the classic prime rib steak with French noon soup and the side garden salad. She elected to her steak to be cooked medium rare. Our Server Esther was probably the best Server AI have had in a long time. She came by our table several times to make sure we were ok. read more

For it to be called a steakhouse the steaks are terrible!!!!!!!!!! I have given this place a try a few times because my brother loves it. I love a nice steak and no matter which one I order, which is generally the most expensive. The steak is tough, under seasoned. The sides are sub par. The hosts were not friendly more interested with gossiping with each other, the server seemed confused. The best part are the cocktails. I am a chef, so I do critique all food but I do give grace. I'll just order a salad next time my brother wants to go. read more

Today is Veteran's Day. I want to first say that tonight's visit was both positive and negative. First our server and food were outstanding however the evening ended on a bad note. First today is Veteran's Day and my wife and I brought my son here for dinner. He is in the Army and wanted to partake of the free meal for veteran's so we waited and were seated at 7:15 p.m. When we were seated we were informed that the only steak on the menu free for veteran's was the 6 oz sirloin which they were out of. My son wanted steak so we purchased an 11 oz steak since the manager was not willing to do anything else. The 11 oz was $24 and the manager would not honor the normal 10% military discount since they ran out of the smallest steak before 7 p.m. They advertised a 10% discount for the entire check in addition to the free meal and again the manager would not honor it. This says that Outback Corp was trying to honor our veteran's and the manager of this location was not willing to do so. Seems petty to not give a member of our military a 10% discount on his dinner he had to pay full price for when he was supposed to get a free meal on this one day. I may reconsider ever returning to this location. read more

I hadn't been to this restaurant in ages because they really went downhill for a while. I decided to try it again and I'm mostly glad I did. I don't like it but I get it. read more

Decided to check outback after looking at the deals online. With a good range of options and delicious food, I give this location a 3 star! Great deals : They offer six-dollar cocktails all day long and the free bread will satisfy your carb craving! They also have steak entrees under $16 (Which is the real deal!) Shout out to the cooks! I had a $13 sirloin steak that could make a vegan go meat lover. The sweet potato was diving and the veggies made me feel healthy. Here is what brings down the score : We went on a Saturday evening and sat at the bar. The two bartenders were very busy and a bit frantic. They kept forgetting to check up on us and we're running around like chickens with their heads cut off. It was a bit annoying to see that they were not versed in the art of multitasking and bartending. I had to ask for bread multiple times and they were the opposite of friendly. I asked about the 10 entrees under the $16 deal I saw online and they looked at me like I was crazy! The slow service made it difficult to catch a buzz and I waited around a while for food and drinks! Overall, outback has great deals, good food, and cute drinks but lacks a highly experienced bartending team. So maybe skip the bar if you plan to go to this location! read more

Outback is low-key one of my fav spots to hit up on a Saturday afternoon with the fam! Truth be told, I usually pop in every time a new seasonal menu is introduced. This visit was no exception. It may be one of the few times you can walk in and get seated immediately, after all timing is everything. Our server was fantastic and I wish I could remember we her name to give her her proper kudos. She greeted us immediately after we were seated, went over the specials and even offered a few of her own suggestions. One our drink orders were placed, she can right back with the bread that down under dreams are made of and butter. Insider tip, ask for the sweet butter!!! It makes the bread pop and takes your taste buds to another level. It's like a formal dressing of the best kind. As a self proclaim sucker for season specials and highlighted entrees, I settled in on the Queensland Chicken and Shrimp, sadly my mouth is watering as I write this. The shrimp were big and plump, chicken was seasoned to epic perfection and the sauce was creamy and dreamy. Which was perfect because I do not like a soupy sauce. All the flavors and ingredients married well together creating a perfect dish. The steak and lobster dish was a winner as well. Steak cooked to asked perfection and the lobster tail was the perfect companion to this land and sea combo. Oh wait, did I mention skip that seasonal drink, I forget what is was but you could taste it was mass produced in a large batch for the day and all I had in my glass was mix, like the kind you can pull off the shelf at the local grocer. Our server was kind enough to offer to replace it but I was soured so I opted for that good old staple, ice tea lol. The restaurant was clean, service was great, so glad they hold the door for you on the way out!! I was stuffed, the door may have been to heavy at that point, lol. They do have a reward programs, Dine Rewards, that's not well advertised but it does render discounts via email and you can snag 50% off after your 4th visit. If you go down under often, it's worth it! Don't make the mid-steak and miss out! read more

The wings at outback are ALWAYS a hit for me. They are always served PIPPING HOT and crispy. I love them for that because there's nothing worse than soggy wings. I tried the new Toowoomba Salmon & I love that you can choose your temp. on the salmon I got it cooked MR W/ extra toowoomba sauce. It was pretty good! Deserves a little more seasoning but it was good. Now after I took it home *ate too many wings * added some seasoning and threw it in the air fryer the next day chileeeeee NEXT LEVEL! The rice & veggies are a perfect compliment to keep it lean & on the healthy side. I love outback so they never miss in my opinion. Would definitely eat it again. read more
