I ate here some time ago when they had their Down Under Trio appetizer on the menu - please bring back! It was great to have that variety. It took a little while to prepare, though understandably since it was three different foods in one dish. I used to work at this specific location - great crew there and nice vibe inside the restaurant as well. Overall, a reliable place to get decent-quality food. read more

Came here with my family for the first time and overall had a great experience. We were seated right away, the restaurant was clean, well lit, and had a comfortable vibe. Our waiter, Christian, was excellent. Friendly, patient, personable, and genuinely helpful. His recommendations were on point and definitely elevated the meal. I ordered the 15 oz Delmonico steak with garlic butter on the side, mac and cheese, and a loaded baked potato with bacon, sour cream, and chives. The steak was the star. Flavorful, savory, perfectly cooked, and a great portion size. The baked potato was also very good and cooked just right. The mac and cheese had great flavor and a nice peppery kick, which I loved, but unfortunately it was not hot. To be fair, none of the mac and cheese that came to the table was hot. For drinks, I had the Gingerbread Martini. Sweet, smooth, and not too strong, which worked perfectly. It even came with a gingerbread cookie that melted into the drink and made it even better. At the table we also had the 6 oz filet mignon with lobster tail, which was very good, and the Kingsland Pasta. My daughter said her steak was incredibly tender and called the pasta out of this world. We also shared the Down Under Trio Platter. The fried mozzarella Bloomerangs were delicious, the Aussie cheese fries were very good, and the Bloomin' Onion petals were my least favorite but still solid. Overall, everything was good. My only real critiques were that the mac and cheese was not hot and some dishes leaned a bit salty. That said, we would absolutely come back. Next time, I'm eyeing the Kookaburra Wings, 20 oz bone-in ribeye, chimichurri filet, homestyle mashed potatoes, seasoned rice, Tasmanian chili, blue cheese wedge salad, baked potato soup, Bloomin' Burger, and definitely dessert like the Chocolate Tower for Two or Chocolate Thunder From Down Under. read more

I feel a little silly rating Outback two-stars because realistically, how many are you gonna give it? Why bother rating it at all? Well, it had been over a decade since I had been to Outback, but I had a gift card, so I dropped by for lunch. First off, the stars are earned by the wonderful staff. They were truly welcoming and kind, and I honestly don't know how they can remain that good-natured working at a chain restaurant because I'm sure they see their fair amount of bullshit. I ordered a Cobb Salad with grilled chicken and Ranch dressing. It was perfectly tasty for what it was, but it was absolutely drowning in dressing. Luckily, they hadn't really stirred it up, so I could avoid the areas that were flooded with dressing to an extent. It was still too much dressing though. Of course, this could have been a one-off with a heavy-handed dresser, but I instantly remembered the reason I haven't really dined at chain restaurants since I was a young'un. read more

0.0, We had high hopes for a nice or at least a good meal and boy were we disappointed. We had two ribeyes and a blooming chicken sandwich. One of the ribeyes was supposed to be medium rare and arrived well done. The Mac and cheese sides were barely warm and essentially inedible. The chicken sandwich was so dry that it was not possible to force it down. This place needs some major changes, I can't imagine returning based on this and the barely acceptable prior experience. Glasses empty for 10 minutes. Zero point zero, worst of the worst. read more

Had the sirloin and wedge salad -- both were solid! The steak was cooked nicely, and the salad was fresh and crisp. Took a little longer to come out, but probably only one server working. Overall, not bad at all read more

Our server, Jason, was amazing. He set the tone for the whole experience. Every person we encountered was engaging and pleasant. The manager even came by to see how things were going. The atmosphere was a delight. My wife and I ordered ribeye w/ coconut shrimp & NY Strip steak, medium rare. All cooked to perfection. An absolutely delicious meal. We are longtime Outback customers. It's nice to see that Outback still maintains a high standard. We look forward to our next visit. read more

Pretty decent service. Was pleased with meal. Staff was loud in the back don't know what was going on and my waiter seemed like his mind was somewhere else. Other than that it was slow that day so it was quiet and quaint I had the blooming onion and the blooming burger. food was cooked well and I would rate it better but the waiter was just emotionally unavailable.. read more

The food here is not great. The blooming onion was soaked in oil and very greasy. I had a house salad and my husband had the Caesar salad. Those were actually good. I ordered the ribeye steak. It was very highly seasoned and ruined the flavor of the steak. The salmon that my husband ordered was over cooked and dry. I had the mixed vegetables. The squash was a bit mushy and the carrots were too hard. My husband had the broccoli and it was almost raw. The service was not very good. The server did not refill any of the soft drinks. There needs to be an attitude adjustment. There was no help provided for most of us. It is in a convenient place, but not very good. read more

Really great food, such good service, and love the warm relaxed atmosphere. The salads are so good, and love the loaded baked potato

I had the pleasure of going to this establishment the other day it was rather good. I enjoyed it. I ordered the pork chops with the seasoned vegetables. The food was absolutely delicious. The pork chops were cooked to order and were seasoned thoroughly. The seasoned vegetables were also delicious and steamed ther nice. The service was also great. My food did not take long to come out. I was in this establishment around lunch which was very nice and quiet. . I will gladly come back again. read more

Now let's go back in time. 50 cent on the radio and In The Club is blaring through the speakers. Now that's how far back I go with this restaurant and location. My mom loves this place and food, so this time of year we traditionally dine in or get to go orders. It always amazes me how busy this establishment is because I personally think it's okay but apparently there are people who love this place (my mom). I must admit, the blooming onion gets its praise because it has been consistent for decades. I normally don't like red meat but I usually feel compelled to order it from here, especially when surf and turf options are available. The cleanliness is a bit hit or miss depending on how busy they are (don't expect it to be clean if they are busy) but the servers represent CT very well. All in all, I look forward to this location being here for many years to come to continue our annual tradition. read more

I never have a bad time at outback! The food always satisfies and this time around I had the steak and shrimp Alfredo dish! Our waitress provided great service and the drinks were stellar! A great experience at outback Wilton. Been here many times before and always awesome steak for $30 or less! With today's inflation bullshit that's going on that's a gem! Tonight I ordered bone-in ribeye, steak was not to this places standards. Bartender/server Curtus was all over it and got me a whole new meal with an incredible ribeye! Come see Curtis at Outback. We love outback and order from this specific location somewhat often - at least once a month. The last few months the service and the quality of our orders has gone really downhill though. I ordered food for delivery today. We often order the grilled chicken off of the kids menu, and the size of chicken is usually a typical size chicken breast. Today it was half of what it normally is. To add to that, as we were using the bbq sauce I found a piece of plastic wrapper in it! I wish I could say that this was just an isolated incident at this location. But it's not. The last time we ordered, about 2 weeks ago, they forgot to add a side of fries with one of the meals. My husband who was picking up the order went inside to tell them this. A manager came out and told him it was in the bag. He explained that it wasn't, he checked and had even brought the bag of food in with him to show them it was missing, and the manager accused him of having it in the car! Really? He had to keep arguing with him to get the side of fries. The server who was working apologized for the manager and said he was having a bad day. I try not to rate places low for isolated small mistakes. I know mistakes will happen with orders, but unfortunately this is becoming a recurring problem with this location. There are so many other stories over the last few months I could share of similar incidents of forgotten items, inconsistent portions sizes, hair in my food, poor customer service, etc. Will our family order from here again? Maybe, but we know we are playing roulette on whether or not we will be satisfied or disappointed. read more

Ed is fantastic. Food here is pretty consistent and the happy hour is very reasonable. If you go outside of dinner hours it's not crowded. For a chain it works! Also the fried mushrooms are delish! read more

Unfortunately after a poor takeout experience where the manager sent me gift cards, I decided to try Outback again and was given a horrific attitude by Ben at the bar. Clearly they were overworked, but the attitude he gave us, and his peers really made it a bad experience. None of the food runners could figure out where the meals go, you could hear a constant confusion as to who around the bar had what orders. We had to ask for place settings and a menu. The other bartender Mike was fantastic and really helped turn things around. Our steaks were delivered less then 5 mins after our salad and soups, so of course by the time we ate them they were over cooked. Fuel on the fire, it turned out the gift cards were expired by a few months, which we didn't realize until sitting down. Quite frankly we would have gone elsewhere if we had known. Not to mention after asking Ben if we could use them he never answered until the other bartended asked after thinking we could. Not once did Ben come to take our used plates or ask if we need another drink. It was only when Mike saw they were still there that they got cleared. read more

It's time for me to steer clear.... Food is three star at best but service is 1.5 star. Ten years ago, you'd have to wait 30 Minutes for a table. Right now on Saturday night, I could show up and get a table for 40 with no problem. The market has spoken..... if you're visiting town, try uncle joes or colony pizza. You'll thank me later! read more

At first when we walked in it was very cold and dark. Then the blooming onion came out late even though there was not many people there. The waitress was not very enthusiastic or attentive. Another waiter who served our food basically just threw the salad on the table. It took at least 40 minutes for our food to show up just to be mediocre and cold. To sum it up, it was not a very great experience overall. Also the shark attack almost didn't have a shark luckily they found one.. read more

A valued classic. I have been going to this Outback Steakhouse for several years now, having eaten many a Spotted Dog Sundae for a birthday here, creating eternal memories. I can't attest to service or ambiance nowadays, as the pandemic made it very hard to eat in, but the pickup service is fairly prompt and exact. Super Special props for being able to pick up a Cold Spotted Dog Sundae with extra Oreo crumbs and molten hot fudge. I will say that the serving sizes have been decreasing marginally over the years, as the sizes of the steaks don't look proportionally right, there are not enough chicken tenders for the kids, and even the Mac-a-Roo & Cheese comes in a small bowl (and not even the classic gooey penne style). 8/10, bring back the classic penne style Mac-a-Roo & Cheese and fix serving sizes, then we'll talk read more

No Chilis, No Applebees, not even a dollar pizza in NY! Started with the horrible service, no host, almost was run over by an extremely rude waitress coming into her shift, bumped my wife and not even an excuse me. Then the entire time she walked by my whole family got the dirtiest look from her as well as my child asked her for a refill and my daughter received an eye roll and walked away. Followed by the service, getting drinks was the first problem, followed by repeating three times our order and still coming out wrong. Had the joy of a believed to be runner, bald gentleman covered in tattoos and piercings, slamming waters down, food down, and when saying thank you ever time for a YUP! The waiter was not exactly the best either, had a beer that was so flat and couldn't even drink it. Only reason I gave two stars was due to the promo for August 24. The manager and corporate need to seriously take a look at this location and make some serious changes! read more

My Wife and I have been longtime customers. We stopped after resuming going there after Covid because of a very bad experience. Outback corporate tried to get us to come back, sending us $200 in gift cards. My Wife and I gave them to the local Norwalk Fire and Police depts. She would not go back. Today, she said yes. We got there at about 5:30. Maybe 5 people in the entire place. I only go for the Prime Rib. I asked our Server to take her time with the food. I dislike having my soup, salad, and Steak served together. She did that. At about 6:50, a different Server came with my Prime Rib. He looked down at the plate in his hand, and said it was cold. He was going to get me another Prime Rib. I thought that was very thoughtful. After 5 minutes, the Manager came over and said there were no more Prime Ribs left. This was at 7pm. I said, if someone comes in for the next 2 hours and orders Prime Ribs, they aren't getting any? She said correct. None left at 7pm. I asked if my steak was the only 1 in the house, because you can't even order 1 till 4pm. She apologized again, offered to comp what we ate already, my Wife only had an Appetizer. I had 2 beers, a salad and soup, and she offered $40 in gift certificates and a free Bloomin Onion for our never happening next visit. I contacted Corporate again, who again offered gift certificates. Looks like the Fire and Police will be getting free meals, if they choose to go. I am enclosing pictures of the soup and salad to try to prove I was there today. I know you might think the pictures are old, but you have to trust me that they were part of my meal today. read more

Not the quality I remember from Outback. Hadn't been there since pre-Covid and quality has gone way down. Not expecting 5 star but this was disappointing. So much so I'll try somewhere else next time. Ordered 6oz sirloin with lobster Mac and cheese for delivery. Steak was so small I weighed it on my food scale and it was only 3.2 oz. Right there a rip off but lobster Mac and cheese was flavorless with a tiny piece of lobster. read more

I used to love this place but recently was very upset by the food. We were having a special night out, celebrating Father's Day early. Both Dads and grandchildren ordered steaks medium well and they were rare. We had to send them back three times. The undercooked steak made 2 members of the family lose their appetite. I am sorry but won't be going back too soon, if ever. read more

Been here a lot over the past 4 years and the food is not always consistent. The steaks are good and the bloomin onion is a must-try. The sauce that it comes with is very yummy! The ahi tuna salad is very good and usually the dressing is light and fresh tasting, however the most recent time I got that, the dressing was super overpowering, like they added way too much horseradish. We have always been happy with the service we received. The manager usually makes his way around every table checking on people-he didn't get to us last time, but we saw him making his rounds which shows that he cares about what his customers think. The brownie with the icecream is THE BEST. Get it to share...or not :) read more

Walked in past the hostess and said was going to the bar - a few people were eating and a few had menus and were waiting to order. There was no one behind the bar but there were servers at tables around the bar. Sat for about 10 min - no one even greeted me, never was given a menu so I walked to hostess and said guess there is no bartender, no one came to greet me or take an order - she asked another person where Ben was and they looked around as I walked out - if that was the way I was greeted just assumed food would take for ever - not worth the wait - went to a local pub down the street had good service and food. read more

So this restaurant has gone through some changes. The last time I was there about a month ago it was chaos. Bartender was lost and the food was not up to normal standards.
