Omg my bf and I came here for restaurant week and we've never left a place more stuffed. For context, I eat fish and not meat, and our waiter was very helpful in pointing out that the chicken + fish combo would actually be cheaper than the restaurant week deal. The servers here are all super nice and the man with the fish/shrimp made sure to come around to our table frequently. The cold bar was extensive and had a wonderful variety. I really had to limit myself on what I'd got and you could have a full dinner based on the cold bar alone. The cheese bread is soooo good. As part of restaurant week, we got the yuca fries and plantains which were super yummy. My bf loved all of the meat he got - he was so happy and satisfied. The shrimp was really good as was the fried cheese. The salmon was cooked well but definitely needed the mango salsa for flavor. The pineapple was one of the best things here - you HAVE to get it. We were honestly too full for dessert but it came with the restaurant week deal so we got tres leches anyways. The tres leches was super moist and tasty. This place is an amazing bang for your buck and we're super excited to come back. It was a really fun vibe here on a Friday night! read more

WOW ... WOW... WOW.. We were in the area and decided to try something new , came across this place and went in to check it out , here is how it went : Upon entering we were greeted by Jonas and an AMAZINGGGGGGGG bartender named Will . Will is simply the best , polite, professional, positive energy and outstanding customer service . He goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect , we sat at the bar and had some delicious appetizers seasoned to perfection . I'm am Brazilian and I have been to MANY Brazilian steakhouses but this one topped them all and the didn't even try the rodizio. The whole vibe just makes you want to stay as long as you can , the only issue with that is that you will probably weight 100lbs more by the time you leave haha !! Everything is just so good . Jonas was very attentive and always asking if we needed anything else . An absolute amazing experience , we will definitely go back to enjoy other selections . Ohh and let me tell you their passion fruit caipirinha was awesome . If you want class, great customer service and great food definitely pay this guys a visit . You will not regret . read more

Where do I start. This place is truly amazing!! The service son as you walk thru the doors is too notch. We were greeted and seated immediately. It was our 1st time here and the waiter did a great job of explaining how everything works and how the food will be served. We got the full experience. The salad bar has waaayyyy more than just salad but don't get caught up there bc when they start bringing the food/meats to your table you might be a little overwhelmed. I tried everything lol. I had a lamb chop for the 1st time it was amazingly delicious. Flank steak might be new favorite cut. Filet mignon wrapped with bacon. They just keep bringing food to you like you're a "King" or "Queen"!! There was the grilled pineapple and they also had this honey cheese. I'm getting hungry and having flashbacks as aim writing. I can't wait to go back. It's a very nice intimate setting with music playing but just loud enough to hear and still have a conversation. I will definitely be back soon. It's so much more I can say but I think you have to just experience it for yourself. Also remember this all you can eat so bring your appetite. Next time I'll add more pics. Had to enjoy the moment!! read more

Impeccable service! They all work together as a team. Great choices! Food was delicious! Andres and Ana were terrific!

Came in during Restaurant Week hoping for the full experience. Came in friday The food was okay, but the overall service felt inconsistent. When I asked about the Restaurant Week option, I was told it wasn't available, which was a bit confusing. Service also wasn't very attentive compared to nearby tables. I ordered an espresso martini with Baileys and it had to be remade, and when I asked about the lamb chops no one ever came back to follow up. I've been here before and had a better experience. This visit just didn't feel as welcoming or attentive as the first time. Hoping it was just an off night read more

Terra Gaucha - Steakhouses Near Me - Stamford, Connecticut

From the bar experience with the award-winning bartender Dom, to the fantastic servers Santos, Rolando, and Flavio, and the manager Ronnie, and of course the delicious and absolutely delectable array of meats, this was a fantastic dining experience! If you've never been to a similar establishment, you can eat off the menu, or in my case, get the churrascaria / buffet experience. You get the unlimited "salad bar" plus all the meat (and some seafood) you can handle. The garlic marinated beef was my favorite of the night, though I couldn't say anything negative about all the other meats I tried. Servers were attentive, and you can even ask for specific meats and cuts if it's a favorite. The place is pretty casual, though I came in with my suit straight from work and didn't feel out of place at all. Some folks were casually dressed, and some a little more dressed up, so just be comfortable and perhaps wear an elastic band waist because you'll be eating! read more

Amazing Brazilian steakhouse! The service is truly impeccable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Salad bar alone is worth a trip here. It's full of so many goodies!!! My most favorite item is the grilled pineapple that's warm and delicious. The meats are so flavorful. If there's something you missed and would like, the servers are more than happy to bring it back. Ambiance is beautiful. There's also a private party room. There's a parking garage and street parking. Restaurant is clean and tidy. It's all you can eat. If you love meat, GO! Highly recommended. I can't wait to return. read more

We went to Terra Gaucha for Easter lunch while visiting Connecticut for the weekend. We originally had other lunch plans in New Haven that fell through so we scurried looking for a restaurant that was open on Easter. Terra Gaucha was the perfect choice!! We used to live in Stamford and had been to a Brazilian steakhouse that was next to Target but it closed down years ago. Terra Gaucha is SO much better than that previous restaurant. We had reservations at 12pm thinking it was going to be busy. Nope! Only two or three tables were taken and we were immediately sat down and greeted by the host who explained the concept to us. We grabbed a few small bites from the cold and hot bar before our big feast. There was so much to choose from: grilled jalapeños and garlic, pesto pasta, cheese and meats, different kinds of salad, rice, beans, etc etc. I chose the bacon wrapped jalapeños, an assortment of cheese with two meat slices paired with fig jam, avocado and mango salad, a quail egg, caprese salad, and a slice of beet topped with an orange slice. Everything was absolutely delicious! I was most excited for the quail egg because I've never had one before and seeing one at the buffet was really exciting! Then, came the extra sides for the table...mashed potatoes, Pão de queijo (cheese bread), fried plantains, and crispy corn fritters. Everything was outstanding! It was time for the meat! Everything was cooked to perfection and our plates were always full. The staff were amazing and asked us if there was anything in particular that we were looking for and sure enough, they came out with those dishes! The mango salmon was fantastic and the grilled pineapple oooooh my gosh! I had 4 slices of that pineapple! It was grilled with sugar and cinnamon and I had a few slices that had it crisped on the outside which was amazing. We both ordered 2 drinks each: mango habanero caipirinha, pihna caipirinha, blueberry açaí mojito, and blueberry coconut mojito. Every drink was delicious and we enjoyed all of them. We ate to our hearts content and left right when it started getting super busy. I would highly recommend getting reservations if going during a busy time or just going right when they open. The food was phenomenal, the drinks were delicious, all of the staff were helpful, courteous, friendly, and quick. We were so happy that we chose Terra Gaucha for our Easter lunch and will definitely be back again when we visit the area another time. If I could give Terra Gaucha 10 stars, I would. This was a fantastic visit and we were blown away! read more

Terra Gaucha - Appetizers and cold/hot bar food - Steakhouses Near Me - Stamford, Connecticut

What to say? Formerly PF Chang, formerly Cheesecake Factory. Service is impeccable and attentive. The cold bar is extensive but don't waste any space there...save for the meat on skewers. Ribeye is my personal favorite, along with masked potatoes and grilled Manchego cheese in honey. Atmosphere is lively but not loud...lots of families. read more

Came here for a large group dinner in Stamford late on a Saturday night. The restaurant looked very nice and spacious. There was a salad bar buffet and then these little cardboard circles on each table setting with a "yes"or "no" on either side. How it worked was you flipped your coin to a "yes" if you wanted the waiters to stop at your seat and bring you meat or "no" if you didn't want. I never had a dining experience like this, but they bring out the meat that's been cooked / grilled / roasted around a big stick and walk around to each table with the huge meat stick to shave a slice off onto your plate. Kinda like those gyro meat on a stick situations, they cut a shave off for each portion, and you grab it with tongs. They had steak, chicken drumsticks, shrimp, pork, as some of the meat options that went around, and fried cheese squares. The steak meat was cooked to a hot medium rare I'd say, and it was good. The chicken was also juicy, tender and flavorful, and the shrimp was hot and delicious with a little bite and tender meat. All the meats were hot and fresh as they were brought out, which was kind of nice to each time have a hot little serving of meat, rather than having the whole plate and getting cold as you eat. I'm not a big steak meat eater and have only gone to the more casual steakhouse chains, so this to me was more of a special experience. I was even a bit overwhelmed, but the meat was great. I eat meat but not like this, so the taking slabs of meat off the stick took a moment to get used to. The service was friendly. I had some kind servers who were friendly and helpful which I appreciated, especially with the large group setting. The restaurant was huge and accommodated a lot of people. The dessert: I had a few bites of the flan and the tres leches cake, and both were delicious. I was full from the meal, though I didn't get a ton of the steak meat somehow. Afterwards, I was thinking maybe they didn't see my "yes" card because they didn't come around to my seat with the steak except once or twice. Kind of wish I tried more of the steak, as it seemed to be their specialty and I saw the people next to me getting a lot of steak rounds and really enjoying it. But I had a few slices, which were very good. Overall, it was a dining treat and a fancy night out. read more

Great food and service. The most authentic Brazilian food in Connecticut. Highly recommend

We were just passing through this small city and decided to give it a try -- we liked it so much we came back the very next day! We're from Miami and regulars at Fogo de Chão, and this place has a similar all-you-can-eat concept but with some great extras you don't get at Fogo, like shrimp, avocado, and a perfectly seasoned, delicious leg of lamb. The lamb was a highlight for sure. The service from the entire staff was excellent -- warm, attentive, and friendly. A wonderful surprise to discover Terra Gaucha in Stamford during our East Coast vacation. Highly recommend! read more

This restaurant is located at the front of Stamford Town Center, right by the comedy club. I met up with coworkers in the conference room. It was my first time eating at a Brazilian steak house being served "rodizio" style. Several waiters kept bringing different high quality meats on a skewer to shave it directly on our plate, as we help grab it with a tong. My favorite were the filet mignon and lamb. So tender and juicy. There were some sauces on the table, of course I scooped some chimichurri on some of my steaks. I have a small appetite and I like to try several things, so it was nice to be able to get a shaving of each. The salad bar was so colorful and freshly full. Service was phenomenal. The server accommodated my dessert request. The crème brûlée has a great texture. Everything was amazing. I totally recommend you experience this type of dinning. read more

Terra Gaucha delivered a solid rodizio experience, though a couple of missteps kept it from reaching the heights I know this place is capable of. The meat parade brought its usual highlights, the picanha was the star of the night as it always seems to be, beautifully seasoned and cooked with real care. The grilled pineapple made its expected cameo and did exactly what grilled pineapple does, cut through all that richness with a little caramelized sweetness at just the right moment. The grilled cheese (that beautifully charred queijo coalho) was another standout, squeaky, salty, and gone within seconds of hitting the table. Unfortunately not everything landed. The New York strip came out tougher than it should have been for a place built around meat quality, a rare miss for a churrascaria of this caliber. And my go to order, the pao de queijo, showed up cold, which is a real shame since that little cheese bread is usually the reliable comfort item on any visit here. The salad bar rounded things out in unremarkable fashion, perfectly fine, nothing offensive, but also nothing that made me want to linger there before the meat started coming around. Service kept the meat flowing at a reasonable pace, and the ambience had that lively, communal churrascaria energy that makes these meals fun even when a dish or two falls short. Three stars feels fair, a meal with real high points held back by a couple of avoidable ones. Still worth a visit, just maybe double check that the pao de queijo comes out hot. read more

Ok this is a must stop on the Stamford food scene. One of the only and BEST salad bars ever! Bartenders are skilled and quick. Once the meat arrives it's a meat fest! Jose is the best waiter ever! My daughter asked that we go here for her Birthday, and since she had been there before, she asked me not to eat before the trip. I was definitely curious why she said that, but regretfully I did sneak a few bites before we arrived at this restaurant. This place is where the Old PF Chang used to be and has a great location as there is a parking lot of the mall next to it, and it is very visible from Route 1. The place is huge with a large Salad bar in the center of the dinning area and booths and seating's spread across. We opted for the buffet and started with the Salad bar, which has a lot, and when I say lot, it seriously is a lot of offerings. Knowing that we mainly came here for the Rodizio, I tried to go lighter on the appetizer, but given the choices, still ended up picking quite a bit. Once back at the table the fun started as the servers started bringing one meat after the other from Sirloin, to steak, to chicken, Salmon, Lamb, Cheese and even fried Pineapple, which actually was awesome! We ended up trying pretty much everything and were totally full, when wee were surprised to see the restaurant staff come over with a cheesecake singing happy Birthday for my daughter. After joining them in singing Happy Birthday we enjoyed the dessert and was very happy with the gesture by the restaurant. Great place, Excellent service and awesome variety of food if you go with the Rodizio option. read more

Dishes were cleared off frequently and the meats kept coming. Green for Go and Red to Stop. lol. I highly recommend if you're in Stamford. Great find! read more

Work lunch - An all you can eat format? Who knew? How do they stay in business? Massive salad, cold and hot bar to start off, plus side apps on the table like fried plantain, and a bread with a bit of cheese in it, very good. But the high light is being able to sample the different cuts of meat you would never order cause you don't know what they are and if you'd like them. 5/5 amazing - the steaks on sticks, each steak was terrific but the filet mingon was once again my favorite, even better than the bacon wrapped filet. I stuck to beef the entire time but the chicken, lamb, and pork all looked and smelled great. 4/5 great - the salad bar and cold stations are worth a meal of their own on a separate trip. 3/5 good n/a 2/5 poor - table seating is too tight I kept bumping elbows with my friends and would have to awkwardly lean out of the way for the meat service 1/5 disaster - way too many leftovers on my friends plates. What happens to the wasted meat!! :( didn't get an answer on that, I wish they could give the meat to an animal shelter. I literally ate enough for 6 meals so the price per meal is very cheap. No seriously, I skipped dinner and breakfast to come hungry and did not eat dinner, breakfast or lunch the following day. read more

I'm honestly still in awe over the amazing experience we had at Terra Gaucha! I brought my fiancé here for an early birthday celebration, and it far exceeded our expectations. This was our first time at a Brazilian steakhouse, and I don't think we were truly prepared for all of the food we were going to be offered - this is truly an all you can eat experience! I think the pricing of the meal is very fair for all of the food you receive. The salad bar is beautiful and has a fantastic variety of options, but next time we'll try to hold off on filling up so fast from that! Everything we had was delicious, from the side dishes to the steaks, chicken, and even the chocolate lava cake for dessert. The staff were professional and attentive, and the restaurant itself was exceptionally clean. We're planning to bring our family back for Father's Day! read more

I had an amazing experience at Terra Gaucha. This was my first time visiting a Brazilian Steakhouse, and I was nervous because I am a pescatarian. When we arrived, the host showed us to our table and explained to us how the process worked. The cheese bread alone deserves 5 stars! My friends and I enjoyed the salad bar before flipping our chips over to let the servers know we were ready for meat, or in my case, fish. The portions were very generous, which was perfect for us since we love to eat. We each had a refreshing caipirinha before Santos brought around his cart and other drink options, which we also enjoyed. I flan I had for dessert was the perfect sweet treat to end the meal on. The staff made sure we had a great time, and the live music by D.A. Sempre, who sang in both English and Portuguese to his guitar, added a wonderful touch to the restaurant's atmosphere. Great salad bar! Service is excellent. Great meat selections! Come with an appetite and pace yourself!

Great restaurant, and the food and drinks are delicious but the prices are a bit too high. I also have to say that the last time I was there for lunch, the feijoada was very watery. We, Brazilians, know that a good feijoada, or even just black beans, is creamy. If you are going to charge a lot for the meal, make sure that the most famous dish of the Brazilian cuisine really represents the country, or you risk losing customers that might be experiencing the cuisine for the first time. read more

Amazinggggg! We made reservations and upon arrival we waited a few minutes before being seated which is fantastic because this place was hoppin' and completely packed! We started off with the salad bar which has so many options you can literally fill up on that so you have to be cautious otherwise you won't have room for all the meat that is about to come your way. Once seated, the servers were so generous and constantly came by with different meats. I will also say that they kept it everything nice and clean. I watched them change the food and clean the ice/add ice in the salad bar and they were so professional handling everything. We did ordered a few things that were not part of the all inclusive price like fries cheese, fries yuca, fried polenta, plantains... I did not have alcohol but my friend had 4 caipirinhas, she said they were good but not the best she's had. We stayed for quite awhile, had a wonderful afternoon. I will add i had the best cheesecake I've ever eaten. I will definitely come back. read more
