Comfort food! Lots of flavor and service is friendly! Place has about 8-10 tables simple decor, nothing flashy. I was a little disappointed with their Tallarin Verdi con Bistec. Steak had good flavor. But was VERY thin, and the pasta was too mushy. But their roasted chicken was good. Lots of nice flavor. A little on the dry side. But overall yummy. I always enjoy ordering from here. The food is tasty and moderately priced. I have not dined in yet but I plan to and think the restaurant dining area looks nice. My only frustration is that the last two orders I placed of ceviche had very little fish and shrimp and way too much onions. It's my favorite dish and it's still tasty but I feel cheated. Great food, never had an issue when dining in or ordering for take out. My favorite dish of theirs is the chicken stir fry or pollo saltado. They always make their food so well and are super nice every time I go in there. I'm always more than satisfied and full when I walk out of there. Delicious food all around! But the service we place an order online at about 9:15 and they close at 10pm they accepted the order then canceled it 15 mins later and then we try to call to see if they will let us pick it up instead of delivery and we get the busy dial tone then thwn we call back and the phone sent us strat to voice mail and this is still half hour before they close. We were really excited about this place because of the reviews. However, we were disappointed. One of us ordered the burrito and I got the pupusas. The rice with the burrito was ok. Our major gripe is the service. We received chips about five minutes before we got our food. Also, a party of six was seated 15 minutes after our arrival (we were a party of 2). I can't believe the customer service I just received from what used to be a regular restaurant for my rommates and me. I had tried to make an order last night, but my phone service cut out in the middle. There must have been an issue with Verizon, as all my roommates' phones were not working either. I never finished my order, and was unable to call back before it had closed. I called today to make an order, and was then HARASSED by the lady on the phone. After accusing me of not picking up my food (of an order which I had not ever finished!) she was skeptical of my phone malfunction. Why would I lie!? Just moved to Stamford and this place is right down the street. I tried it my first night here and I loved it. The service was fantasticly friendly. As soon as we sat down they brought us chips and salsa. The good kind of chips that you know they make themselves cause there's still a tiny layer of oil on them from being fried. You can also tell that this place is authentic because all their signs are written in spanish and they had spanish dancing competition playing on TV. (The menu looked very appetizing so it took us a moment to decide and the waiter came by 4 times in 7 minutes asking if we were ready to order. I like attentive service but sweet baby jesus, let me breathe!) We ordered the mixed ceviche, panes con chilies relleno, and pollo saltado. The ceviche was absolutely fantastic. it had a good mix of types of seafood, but basically only had one of each of the larger items: fish, shrimp, crab, clam, and mussel. It also had a good portion of squid, red onions, large Peruvian corn, and sweet potatoes. This was probably the highlight of the meal. The panes con chilies relleno was basically a sandwich of minced beef, peppers and onions with lettuce tomates and onions on a cuban bread. It was topped with their "special house sauce" which was very tasty. It was close to some kind of seasoned liquidy mayo. The pollo saltado was chicken with mixed veggies. It was huge for only $8 and also came with rice. They also served this with the house special sauce on the side to allow the diners to douse their foods in this creamy goodness. My husband and I found this place accidentally, and then spent a year being grateful that we were living down the block from this GEM. Whether you eat in, pick up, or have delivery, the quality is consistent and the food is hot and delicious. The food isn't expensive, yet the portions are more than enough for one person (in fact, I usually save half of my meal for the next day and I have a huge appetite). Recommendations include the Lomo Saltado, Carne Asada, Pupusas, and any of the tallarines. To be honest, anything and everything here is good. UNSANITARY! DO NOT EAT HERE! Ordered breakfast plate, and found a piece of plastic in the sour cream. It appeared to be the cap from some kitchen container. A real choking risk and dirty. This is the first time I've had Guatemalan food and for something that sells for cheap, authentic Guatemalan dishes, this one really takes you off your seat. Mi Ranchito is a known Peruvian restaurant here in Stamford and I love how their servings are so huge!!!! Price range is around 7-16 dollars and it's pretty cheap for something that can feed 2-3 people (not kidding). They also serve free nachos with great salsa before your meal and you can ask for free nacho/salsa refills. I can't even remember the name of what I got but basically it's all grilled chicken, steak, adobasado, sausage with rice and grilled jalapeño. This is with their salsa and home made guacamole. Don't eat here if you want to live!! No one is wearing gloves even in this pandemic we going through. I ordered some take out food for pick up. I ate the food with my girlfriend and with in 20 minutes later we felt sick. We got food poisoning we were vomiting and with diarrhea. That's all the food we ate that day. Bad Customer service on the phone when placing orders. I called in with multiple items on an order that required 2 credit card payments and 1 cash payment on delivery. I made that clear in the beginning of my order. The lady said to give her the full order and then later tell her what portion was to be paid in what way. I proceeded with the order and then she collected one credit card payment. When I prompted to say the next card was to be used with this portion of the order she said she can not take another card, I asked why? She had no concrete reason, only that she was too busy, and then hung up on me. This is horrible service as the company I was ordering for has ordered multiple times. read more

This place lacks professionalism if my order comes up to more than 30 dollars and I live in the same town you should be able to deliver to my location. As they do have delivery drivers even if I have to pay an extra fee. The food is also subpar it was a restar aunt I was trying out as opposed to Viva or Fiesta for Peruvian food. Finally a reasonably priced restaurant in the city! (cheap actually). This is a Peruvian and Guatamalen restaurant which seems a strange combo but was great. I had an ENTIRE Talipia fried whole, with black refried beans, side salad and spanish rice for just $12. The fish was so moist, simple and delicious. My partner got a stir fry of chicken and fresh veggies over a bed of french fries and a side fo steamed rice for JUST $7.50! It sounds really strange but it was incredibly tasty. It's mobbed for lunches but the dinners are fairly quiet (or seem so at 8pm). Again, great place to continue visiting. read more
