Absolutely horrifying customer service. I called and asked for delivery, if they have dishes made from corn tortillas and the girl says no. So i look up their website and it says YES. so i then order taco of course made from corn. Next i order 2 pechuga de pollo-mind you that is listed under Burrito , so anyone with any common sense would assume it is a burrito but not in this joint. I call back within 2 mins because the moment i hung up i realized I needed a different order and ask her to replace one of the Pechuga de pollo with pechuga a la plancha. She says "both orders are the same, the chicken is already on the grill and i cannot change anything as you didn't mention burrito so no one is getting burrito". I mean really, then change your damn menu to inform customers better. To add insult to injury she claims both orders are same and because I'm not a spanish individual i didn't understand the menu! mind you the menu is in ENGLISH!!!!!!! I'm sure the food is good but management and staff is rude and uninformed. If you complain, she actually asked to not order from them anymore..just wow. Absolutely appalling attitude and who wants to deal with this nonsense when you are at work and trying to just get a meal. Try Fiesta instead...at least you don't get idiots like her on the phone. read more

The food was ok but the service was terrible. At first my significant other and I attributed it to it being a slight language barrier or the time of evening. We realized going forward that as the hostess and staff were pleasant with everyone else but us we sat quietly feeling awkward. The first issue was the waitress spoke to us as if she barely wanted to speak to us. We had questions about 1 or 2 items on the menu and she gave us 1 word answers. Next we received our appetizers and no utensils which included salad and platano. The waitress walked away. Went back behind the counter, proceeded to start another task. Looked at us and continued what she was doing. We gave her a few moments. Another waitress walked by we asked her for utensils she acted like what we asked required a manager or permission and proceeded to also disappear behind the counter. My boyfriend finally got up to ask only for the utensils to be waiting on the counter as if they were waiting for us to come get it ourselves. Next part of our order came with beans that were cold. The only time our waitress came back to our table after that was to ask if we were using cash. Then disappeared behind the counter again came back again to take our card and came back to say that the card machine wasn't working and could they write down our card number to do it tomorrow. (Hilarious- I also don't know how they knew the machine would magically be working tomorrow either) we were followed out the door and had to go to nearby atm just to get cash. Needless to say we were not pleased at all with the service and will NOT be returning. read more

Love the food here. There's only so many places that give you great quality and prices too! I typically don't eat in (takeout or delivery) but you can dine in if you choose. The lomo saltado is always great as is the adobada. I almost always get a side order of the maduros because I love plantains. Holy smoke.....I enjoy this restaurant more and more each time I visit. The staff are pleasant and accommodating, and will explain anything you're unfamiliar with. And I encourage you to use that to it's fullest, and wander out of your comfort zone while you're here. From amazing ceviches, to bubblingly hot and oozing pupusas, to fresh fish and the best lomo saltado and other entrees.....there is no risk. It's all tasty, plentiful and inexpensive. Very bad service experience. Called for delivery and asked if they still have Jalea de Pescado on the menu, "Yes." I was unsure of translation and asked is that in a marinara sauce (thinking stew style as in zuppa di pesce), "Yes, it is." I receive all fried. I call back saying I got the wrong dish. She replies, "No you didn't." I say, this is not in a marinara sauce. She says, "We are not Italian and don't have marinara." I said, "Come on, I even asked you if it was and you said yes." She says, "I know but you ordered the dish by name." I asked why didn't you tell me after I asked to confirm I was ordering he right dish? Well, you ordered it by name. Unbelievable! I asked to have the correct dish delivered and she says all my delivery people are out it will be an hour or you can come pick it up in 15 minutes. Who is in the driveway but the delivery guy. Our favorite Peruvian/Guetemalan joint. Love their chip and salsa. Salsa is light, brothy with fresh herbs and red onions, very refreshing. Aji sauce is creamy, smooth, greenish yellow. a little hot. Good lengua tacos. Hot sandwiches are off the hook and inexpensive. Good tamales and chuchitos! Chicken burritos are one of the best we had. Ample portions. Flan is also recommended. The food here is soooo good...as in the kind of food your very sweet and amazing grandmother would cook for you if she was Peruvian and an amazing cook. My boyfriend and I eat here with our kids and have tried a lot of different dishes and have been impressed every time. Their Peruvian Ceviche de camaron is perfect, their chicken wings w fries are a hit with kids, poillo soltado is so good, and the chicken soup tastes completely fresh and homemade. Warning: slowest service EVER. We put up with it only because their food is so darn amazing. Don't go here if you are mad hungry because you will end up really grouchy and possibly pass out by the time your food makes it to the table. The service was fast but we we're there around brunch time so not very crowded. The Lomo Montado was perfect for breakfast even though it wasn't on the breakfast menu. Steak was tender and juicy. Got the cerviche mixto which had a larger variety of seafood than most mixtos I've had before with octopus, shrimp, squid, clams, mussels and fish and was not too acidy with Peruvian corn on the cob and sweet potato for balance. This restaurant is Guatemalan and Peruvian. I lived in Guatemala and I can say this is authentic. Have been twice for a late lunch in the weekend with my family and enjoyed both times. Love the pupusas with cheese as a starter and had the main course Bandeja Chapin both times. This includes 3 different meats, platanos, rice and salad for $12. Filling and delicious. Not a gourmet restaurant, but good value, friendly and reminds me very well of many restaurants in lovely Guatemala. read more

It is TASTY here.We passed by this place hundreds of times before we went for dinner after it came up in a conversation w/ friends from town who regularly bring their older kids for lunch & dinner. We tried numerous dishes w/ our 17yr old son and 12 yr. old daughter. Everything was well received and we actually ordered too much food. The portions are generous. The staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. The food is mediocre AT BEST. The enchiladas (if you want to call it that) are terrible, 1 corn chip topped with shredded beets and onions? Where's my melted meat and cheese? Confused and dissatisfied customer. If you're going to serve a shredded beet salad as an enchilada, at least put a description on the menu. Not a bad place but their portions are way too unfair . Got lomosoltado and the amount of rice was crazy and so little of steak.

The restaurant is basically no frills...the floor is sticky, the bathroom was weird, the decor is old, stale and dated but you disregard all that and its straight up great food! My husband had the lomo saltado and the steak was delicious. I had the Pescado a los macho...it was amazing. The fish was so well seasoned as well as the rest of the seafood in it. I was a consistent customer here. The food is good, and the location is very convenient for me. However, there was a bank charge on my card for double the amount. Could've been a system error, however, it happened, so I called my bank, and they said they would investigate it. I thought nothing of it, considering that I spend no less than $60.00/ week with them. I just wanted my bank to look into the charges. After I did so, every time I called Mi Ranchito, they would tell me the system for take out orders was down. At this point, I'm wondering what is going on, because I'm the only one this is happening to. After two weeks of phone calls, they finally tell me due to the fact that I filled a claim, I can now only pay cash! I explained why the claim took place, and they insisted there was no error. But what I found extremely unprofessional, was the fact that no one could communicate this to me, like a human being. Instead, they would lie, and say the system was down. If I'm spending over $60.00/ week, and have recommended your restaurant to my co-workers personally, why would you assume I had the charges reversed just because? That kind of customer service is pathetic. They'll never get money from me again. Not to mention, the customer service in the restaurant itself, was pretty damn awful. Only one waitress there, was nice. Everyone else had a sense of entitlement, anytime you politely asked for anything. I suggest you spend your money with Old House II. Love this place. I ALWAYS get the melon liquado with leche, it is amazing. I don't even like cantaloupe that much, but I love it in this drink. The chips and salsa that come free are really tasty. Anything saltado is great. Carne Asada too. That light green sauce in the squeeze bottle! What is in that? It's so good. There's also a mixed seafood assortment that's pretty delicious. Pupusas are really good too. Trouble with this place is, you really like the things you've already had, so it's difficult to make yourself try a new thing. It's taking everything in me to even give this place 1 star. Their staff is EXTREMELY rude and lack any basic customer service skills. Placed an order for pick up and they gave me the wrong order. My boyfriend came home with our food and we realized it wasn't what we ordered. When I called to ask if they'd be remaking my food due to the error they made they told me the kitchen was already closed. At this point- I just wanted my money back so the girl on the phone told my boyfriend to come back and she'd refund us. My boyfriend gets there for the refund and the girl refuses to give him his money back because she said we needed to bring back the food... the wrong order... that we had already opened at home... which is disgusting. She then attempted to make us take back our original order that she gave to someone else which we refused to do given that the food had already been taken out of their establishment. How am I supposed to feel comfortable eating food that someone took home, opened and then brought back. When I was on the phone advising her that she needed to give us a refund and that we wouldn't be wasting another trip to bring the food back due to their error- she hung up in my face and was talking crap about my boyfriend inside of the restaurant not knowing that he understood Spanish fluently. She told my boyfriend that her boss was going to make her pay for the food out of her own pocket and that she's only human and we make mistakes. I feel terrible that their owner would make them pay- it's a restaurant business they should account for these kinds of things happening. We ultimately got our money back but it was a nightmare dealing with the rude attitudes of every person in there. I've been here a decent amount of times and it's been good no complaints. But my two stars would be from my last two visits which were not all that great. One time I ordered for delivery, lomo saltado, and when I opened it up it was burnt... And I don't mean like that burnt that sometimes tastes good, no, I mean the burnt hard black crunchy not good kind of burnt. So I called them back and they were busy at the moment so I was told when a delivery driver was available and not busy with the orders before they would bring me another one unless I wanted to pick it up right now.... Not cool. Second time, this time we are there, it wasn't so much the food although it wasn't great either but the staff.... No one said anything to us we sat for a while we had to call someone over to get our drinks after 10+ minutes. Did like this place but now I'm not going back. read more
