We came here since my BIL was visiting with his Venezuelan gf and it was her first time in Connecticut. They live in Georgia and there are no Venezuelan establishments there so we decided to try this place out. The restaurant was small and the interior had an odd smell so we opted to sit outside. We ordered some cocktails and they were pretty good. Overall decent place for drinks but probably wouldn't return since we weren't impressed either.

Best spot in Norwalk for Venezuelan food! The food is always on point, their pepito is delicious and they have a variety of juices/sodas you can choose from. Their customer service is excellent. 10/10.

I embraced the beauty of the sunny day by sitting outside! I savored the shrimp accompanied by tostones, a refreshing salad, and white rice. The experience was delightful, and I recommend this wonderful restaurant!

I love this place! It is so welcoming, and the food is outstanding! Definitely get the yuca fries and the beef arepas! The arepas are perfect so tasty, i prefer grilled and it gives the best foundation for their very flavorful meat. The shredded chicken one is great.

My friend and I ventured about one hour away from home to have brunch here. We've been following them on social media for a little while, and finally decided to make the drive. There might be street parking, but it's in a busier area, however, there is a larger lot behind the business. I'm not sure what the charge is, but since it was a Sunday, it was free. The indoors is on the smaller side, but is nice. There are many decorations and it is very colorful and happy in there. We decided to sit in their outdoor eating area. I liked it, but the chairs were very uncomfortable. The menu is pretty expansive. I ordered the Vegana (black beans, sweet plantains and avocado), and my friend ordered the Americana (bacon, egg, cheese). We split these two. They were very good and pretty filling! For dessert, we shared an order of mini arepas, served with cream and cheese. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for a bite. The arepas we tried were delicious, the service was excellent and the prices very reasonable. I might not come here often, but would recommend anyone in the area to visit.

Driving an hour away was so worth it! I wanted all If the stuffed Arepas because they all sounded amazing!! We went on a Sunday early enough for brunch. Sat outside, grabbed coffee and it was perfect. My friend and I decided we would split our Arepas of our choice so we can try half and half. We decided to try Arepa Vegana which had black bean, avocado and sweet plantains and The Americana Arepa which was more of a breakfast Arepa. Bacon, egg and cheese. Also, you have the option of having them fried or grilled so we did one and one. They both hit the spot! So good! We didn't get enough of our arepa fix so we got mini arepas fritas but the sweet ones. It came with a side of shredded cheese and cream to dip in. A day later snd im still thinking of Arepas! Stuffed arepas! The staff was so Pleasant, friendly! The owner came out and he was very nice as well! Everyone was! We had made reservations for 11 but when we got there it wasn't needed. However it sure picked up and got pretty busy afterwards. So I suggest making them just Incase! There is street parking and there is a big lot in the back of the restaurant that is public. There is meters but it depends which day you go and time . Sunday is free ! The restaurant itself has enough tables , it's clean , and inviting. I must say though those chairs outside are not the most comfortable. But it was nice to sit and have breakfast outdoors. It's in a busy strip along with other businesses and restaurants. I'll be back!

I've been to this restaurant several times and it has always been good. I loooove their arepas. Today I decided to branch out and try something new. While I didn't like what I got this time around nearly as much as the arepas it was still fun and I'd definitely be willing to branch out and explore the rest of their menu. What we got: Cachapa Con Queso Y Jamon - 4* nice and savory. I was quite content with my choice and was very full by the time I was done. At first I was surprised there was only half when compared with what my partner got, but that's how it's supposed to be and boy was it enough. Cachapa La Calle 4 Quesos - 3.5* this was also very good, though a bit more bland. There is a lot of cheese with this one and it is BIG. It's like the big brother cachapa, hence it being double the size compared to the others. We definitely took half of this home and will probably spruce it up with egg, bacon, and/or beans when we eat it as leftovers.

Visited this place while being around the area and looking for something different. If you are familiar with Venezuelan food, this is your spot. If you are not, definitely give it a try. The place has tables outside and inside and the staff is super friendly. We ended up eating arepas and cachapas. We try Venezuelan food all over the country, and this place really compares. Although this place doesn't fill the arepas to a crazy degree where the ingredients are falling out. It is the right amount and is pretty flavorful. The cachapas needed to be a little sweeter for my taste but still a quality cachapa. Overall, this is a "to go" spot on my list while navigating Norwalk. Prices are between $12 and $14. This seems fairly priced as this is more of a sit down restaurant than a regular arepa joint.

This is one of my favorite places in Norwalk. Hits every time. Checks every box. Good if you know Spanish but not required. The sifrina arepa is my favorite, but they're truly all perfectly done. I usually get two arepas because I'm a glutton but one will absolutely satisfy. Truly wish I still lived in the area but so glad there still here for me to visit!

You had me at arepas! This place definitely brought me home especially because in this area there aren't many Venezuelan spots and it's so hard to get your tequeño fix. I love was so happy with the drink selection you can get frescolita, tamarind juice, panela and even chicha! Literally transporting back to Venezuela right now. Food wise there are so many options: tequeños, arepas, empanadas, cachapas, pabellon, patacones and more! I have to say the tequeños were a huge let down. The cheese is definitely not the right one and almost melts right in the dough. The arepas were delicious as well as the cachapas. Again. I felt like I got a little fix from home but not fully fully authentic. Like I said, just happy to have a place like this in the area! Wish they also sold mandocas. The arepa vegana is was to die for. The black beans are the best ever!!!!!!!!!!! And the sweet plantain touch was just amazing. Other than that such a great little spot to come to. Small outside seating area and plenty of indoor space. Great people and great food!

Small hole in the wall of a very busy street parking is in front of street or in back by a shopping plaza. Coworker and myself picked up take out which wasnt ready when we originally told. The shredded beef was a bit dry but the rice and beans were good. The sandwich of carne asap had very flavorful beef that was juicy and paired well w the bacon, egg and cheese. Sitting and eating at the restaurant maybe a better option instead of take out as our meals were a bit cold. They do take credit cards

The BEST in the game !!!! This is literally the best spot in Norwalk!!!!! Arepas are next level and the drinks are fabulous.

I cannot wait to come back. The food was so fresh and delicious. I didn't take photos of the other food we bought because I just had to eat it once placed in front of me. The servers were also kind and attentive.

I was passing by on Cinco de Mayo around lunch time and decided to pop in. I had been waiting for…read morethe renovations to finish so I was pretty excited. Sadly, just like the rest of the recent reviews I was quite disappointed by what I encountered. Everyone working was super friendly and attentive which was nice but I didn't recognize anyone working there. I didn't pay much attention to that but when the menu came it was greatly reduced and trying to be more "upscale". it felt odd as the main draw of Valencia for lunch was that it was fast, casual, affordable and delicious. I usually get the lunch combo that came with an aerpa, empanada, rice beans and ceviche but that wasn't on the menu that I saw. I ordered the street corn to start and got the bowl with a pernil arepa. The bowl was a large portion and everything was fresh. Taste wise things were pretty good but didn't blow me away. The pernil was only ok and that should have been the star of the show. I had to ask for aji and I was only given a small dish with some hot sauce as well. In the past your server would just hand over a bottle of aji and let you go to town. The food was decent, but not close to what I remember. The biggest let down was when the check came. I know things are expensive all over but lunch was $41 for some street corn, a jeujed up chipotle bowl and a coke. That seems wild. There was also a charge added for the kitchen which I get but it still feels odd to see additional service charges on an already expensive meal. As far as the renovations go it honestly didn't really seem like anything changed inside, maybe some fresh paint and tile? Unfortunately I will probably not return any time soon or even at all.
