The restaurant from the front...

What a serendipitous find! If you're in the mood for some authentic Latin food with Honduran roots, then this is your place. The restaurant is in a converted home with lots of parking in front and back. The dining area is low key (perhaps Spartan?) and just hints of homemade authenticity (and it does!). Does it have a romantic vibe? Not really, but it's neighborhood, bistro vibe with a touch of dive is its own character. So if you're really hungry, even better because this place offers generous portions. In the mood for a traditional desayuno dish, served all day?! Then hurry and order the desayuno catracho rancheros! I had mine with chorizo and it was sublime. Everything was homemade from the handmade corn tortillas, to the frijoles, and right down to the perfectly cooked plantains. My wife had the traditional carne asada con arroz y frijoles and that too was incredibly delicious. Her grilled steak, sliced thin and cooked to Honduran temperature perfection, just melted in my mouth. The seasoning was on target and reminded me of similar treats I would indulge in from street vendors in downtown Los Angeles. These guys are the real deal. Don't forget to wash down your meal with a traditional Honduran banana soda or a tamardino juice. And if you've still got room, then definitely have a slice of tres leches cake or even better, ask what desserts they have on special for the day. While we were there, they had torta de mil hojas (thousand layer cake), and you know I wasn't going to pass that up. And just like everything else, it was fresh tasting with every bite oozing homemade artisanship. This is one of the few places where before I even left, I was planning on what to have on my next visit. Great staff too... the owner/head chef came out to greet us and ask how we were enjoying our meal. And his nephew, who was our server, proved to be the perfect guide through Honduran cuisine as he told short stories about certain treats he enjoyed through his childhood and how they transplanted the spirit of Honduran cooking into their restaurant. It doesn't get much better if you're looking for a low-key, reasonably priced, authentic Honduran neighborhood restaurant. I'll see you all there...

Cena típica Hondureña, me encanto.

Proviene un bistec típico hondureño fue delicioso y el servicio bueno. Y tiene parqueo.

My first time trying beer from Honduras with this delicious diner steak chees heavy cream, fried beans, avocado, eggs and TORTILLAS

We had nice tropical , tipical diner well delivered, is not our first time we had beers from Honduras and sorprice wine too

just horrible presentation and extremely messy. Extremely unsanitary

I feel like Im being extremely generous giving them 1 star. For starters if you work hard for your money this not somewhere where you'd enjoy spending it. Aside from their rude customer service they also prey on false advertisement. Do not waste your time or money. The taste of the foos was honestly not worth 2 stars. The white rice had vegetables in it, the frijoles never arrived, the tostones with "guac" is actually a slice of avocado. When I received my order I literally thought I was being pranked because how exactly does that side dish of totones make sense to the chef to add a slice of avocado. To add I ordered Frijoles, rice , and salad from the kids menu and they insisted that they do not have that on their menu and I should take it up with Uber. I wasn't aware that Uber makes your menu. Extremely ridiculous!!!!

Greer Southern Table - Really awesome crispy wings with a ranch sauce

The chicken was the highlight, crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and really well seasoned. You can tell it was freshly made. The cornbread was also really good, soft, warm, slightly sweet, and even better with the sorghum honey butter. The mac & cheese was great. it was rich, creamy, and felt homemade in the best way. I'm not usually a fan of cole slaw, and this one was a bit watery, I should have asked if I could swap it out. The desserts were a highlight too, the peach empanada was nice and warm, buttery, paired perfectly with the ice cream and icing, and the banana pudding was smooth, classic, and comforting with the nilla wafer crumble and fresh banana. Even my starter arugula lemon vinaigrette salad was delicious. Service was excellent and attentive, and the ambiance is definitely upscale and stylish. Overall, it's on the pricier side, but that feels expected for the quality and setting.

The dining room at the new location is fantastic. Open and bright. Much better than the older location down by the aquarium, which is now a new Jamaican restaurant. The place was crazy busy for Mother's Day. We arrived early, but the kitchen was instantly overwhelmed. It took over an hour to get our entrees. Not really all so bad since we got to spend extra time with our dear mother, and the food was exceptional when it finally arrived. I recommend going at a time that isn't quite so busy for a better experience.

I have been wanting to try this place for years and was glad to be in the area to finally check it…read moreout. It's a small, cozy spot tucked in a strip like shopping mall area. It was quite busy when we arrived on a late Sunday a.m. in January. Tables were filled and there was a line for ordering. We decided on a tomato cheddar soup and the Churn it Up sandwich with Havarti and provolone. We were told the wait would be 40 mins, giving us the option to wait it out or go elsewhere. We stuck it out and the food was at our table in less than 20 mins. The sandwiches were ooey gooey toasted cheesiness and paired perfectly with the creamy tomato soup. It came with a lighty dressed arugula salad. I had a freshly brewed ice tea and my dining partner got a Dr. Brown's soda. The breakfast rush was soon over but people were still coming in to eat and grab take out while we enjoyed our meals. They also offer beers and wines and hot chocolate. The entire place was very clean, including the restrooms, although I did not see any table wiping going on. Staff were smiling and polite. Plenty of parking in lot shared with other business.
