The famous blooming onion and the menu
Carla C.

This is the delicious blooming onion, the potato soup and the French onion soup. The cheeseburger and fries were crisp. I have a lot of lunchtime specials. Can't wait to go back and don't forget Friday and Saturday from four until closing. They have nothing but specials you must stop in and see.

Super dry salmon
Peach M.

Ordered delivery - not the first time I have from this location and received the driest piece of salmon I've ever seen. The sweet potato topping missing and no bread. Totally, understand getting some minor things wrong but, overcooking the salmon? Really? Attention to detail is needed at this establishment. My last order was missing an entree salad but chalked that up to the new delivery service needing refinement. Order delivery with caution. In restaurant service has been great.

Out of all of my visits, my favorite is the weekend brunch menu. There are so many yummy things to choose from like the breakfast burrito, the banana Forester French toast, the various of Benedict's including crab, and there were a bunch of various breakfast sandwiches, but the most menu appealing one that I liked is the pork roll. On my last trip I wound getting a chicken brie apples bacon on brioche bread. It was a special of the day. From the moment I bid into it, I knew I would love it for the savoriness, the crisp and sweet tasting bread. There was a side of potatoes... Very nicely seasoned and the perfect crunch to them. On my last visit, it was a total of 10 people in our group and the customer service was great. We were all able to pay with separate checks... Always a perk. The waiter was super super friendly and kept our coffee refills going. Inside it is busy which could lead away from the quiet ambience, but I didn't mind it at all.

Former home vibe, i was one of the earliest weekday diners. Since it a solo dinner, I opted for a few sides: Kimchi rice Cucumber salad Brussel sprouts (no meat or butter) The cucumber salad was so good, I ordered a second portion!! The tofu burnt ends and bbq jack fruit sounded so intriguing that I almost begged the kind server to ask the chef if they could serve a side portion. Otherwise the bbq is served in pound increments. For my lucky tummy, they obliged and wow those are both delicious vegan options! Maybe next time, i will visit here earlier during my trip to be able to take home leftovers. Booth was cozy and love that water bottle to refill my glass is on my table which sounds weird but I drink alot of water! Small place , would recommend reservations for weekend dining. Parking lot was limited too. Enjoy!

They started us with a nice plate of breads with butter and tomato topping which was warm and fresh. My son had the ravioli trio which he loved and I had the pork chop fra diavolo. You could cut that pork chop with a fork it was so tender. The sauce was more like a vodka sauce or creamy marinara but was not fra diavolo sauce. But it was still delicious. It took us 40 minutes to get there and definitely worth the trip. We will be returning soon.

I've been hearing a lot of good things for a while and finally had a chance to check it out myself. The French onion soup was very good not salty but flavorful. I kept going back to the burrata cheese special. Who would put cheese, watermelon, pineapple, prosciutto, fig jam together. Well the combination was amazing. The sweet and cold flavors from the fruit, the saltiness from the prosciutto mixed together with the fig jam and crispy bread topped with the balsamic glaze. Taking a little of each and it's a perfect bite. Service was friendly, polite and the place itself is cute. Walk in to the pizza ovens and you can sit there watching them make the pizza pies. There are tables off towards the back in addition to seating outside.

They offered sushi, pasta, sandwiches, flatbreads, seafood dishes, and more. I wasn't sure what kind of fusion concept they were going for. I usually like to order what a restaurant is known for or specializes in, but since that wasn't clear, I decided to go with a burger since that's usually hard to mess up. Unfortunately, my burger arrived cold, dry, and bland. It tasted like it had been sitting for quite a while before being served. The fries were hot and fresh, so I ate those and took the burger home to see if I could salvage it. On a positive note, the restaurant was clean, and it wasn't very crowded when we visited. However, the food quality left a lot to be desired, and I don't plan on returning.

Patio dining is where it's at!…read more We visited Filomena's Lakeview with another couple on a Wednesday evening. We enjoyed a pre-dinner drink at the bar, and we were so impressed by how friendly the bartenders were. They were engaging and social. They set off our evening on a high note! My Pink Jaguar cocktail was beautiful and caused quite a buzz among the bar patrons! We opted to sit outside, and we are glad we did. The space is open and breezy but fully covered. No need to worry if a passing shower makes its way overhead. Steamed clams in white wine and Truffle fries for the table to start. Yum! All entrees are accompanied by a house salad or Ceasar salad. Our group ordered the Limone Chicken, Chicken Sfiziosa, Steak Frite, and the Eggplant Meatballs/Risotto. Everything came out piping hot and delicious. We loved everything. I know their linguine is house made, but not certain of the other pasta varietals. Cheesecake and Cannoli for dessert, because why not? Really nice experience! Our server was sweet and super-efficient. My only question for Filomena's Lakeview is "Where is the lake?" :)

We arrived around 3:45 PM without reservations and they immediately took us to an open table. Iced Waters were instant. Our server was very pleasant and she took our order. Bread quickly followed with two types served: Italian with sesame seeds and focaccia; however I was puzzled that it was served with a plate of hot peppers and onions in a juice. It seemed off but perhaps it's a Jersey thing. I've been all over in Italy and have never seen this. Olive oil would have been fine along with a splash of balsamic vinegar. Either way I skipped bread condiments. Next came the Fried Tomatoes topped with Lump Crab as an appetizer, but once again I had another head-scratcher, as this dish wasn't typical. First the entire dish lacked seasoning plus salt. Then red tomatoes were used and we all know what happens when you try to fry one. It turns to water after you cut it. The lump crab is what probably made this dish pricey but 3 thinly slices of a red tomato caught me off guard. Now for the final knock out: I ordered the Bone In Pork Chop and impressed that I was asked how Iiked it prepared? I said 145 degrees. She said, you mean well- done. I stated no, that would be in a range of medium. Lo and behold, it was fantastically preparation temperature, but it came topped with the same peppers and onions concoction that came out with the bread. I had no idea that this was a smothered situation. My broccolini was also a mystery. The mashed potatoes were mid. Now on to my daughter's chicken Parmesan: She said that it lacked flavor and had to add salt and pepper and also stated that the sauce was loose and there was too little of it. My wife enjoyed her Salmon. Jersey is cooking differently!!!!! I forgot to add: Underneath of my pork chop I discovered a mysterious piece of corn. I had no corn in my dish??????
