Stopped by Outback for a quick dinner on our way to Omaha. Food: * Bloomin Shrimp ($14.99): Very salty. And the batter was very dark as well. Seems like the oil needs to be changed. * Ribeye 13oz (27.99): Saltyyyyy with lots of fat. It was cooked as ordered, medium rare, however the seasoning was a lot. I ordered asparagus and mashed potatoes for sides. I only got 6 skinny stalks of asparagus which was pretty disappointing since it was an extra $2.99. * Bone-In Ribeye* w/ Aussie Cab Onion & Seasoned Butter ($33.99): Salty and fatty. More than a quarter of the ribeye was all fat. * Fountain drink ($3.49): Watered down and over priced. Service: OK. It wasn't busy so we were seated promptly. Unfortunately, our server was really slow in processing our payment and providing a receipt. Parking: Plentiful and shady. It was pretty convenient since it was by the highway which is one of the reasons why we decided to stop by-- second reason being us having gift cards for this place. Overall, we came in with low expectations and they delivered as expected. For a meal for 3 that came out to be $105 + tip at Outback, I'd much prefer AYCE KBBQ lol. read more

The food is always top notch. I love their steak seasoning and the way they prepare it.

I set low expectations for Outback and they met them. The coke that was brought out to us was light in color, flat and it was obvious they needed to change the soda. Staff should be able to tell if a coke is not up to standard, if they can't notice that, what else isn't up to standard. Best part of my meal of the vegetable sides. This place is horrible. First time here, salad was brown and mashed potatoes were inedible they were so salty. Second time, went to pick up food and were ignored by several employees so walked out without the food I ordered. Very bad management here, will never be back. What a shame because we spent a lot of money here the first visit. Waited a while the first time as our food sat on the counter at the pickup. Went on July 25, 2018 to celebrate my 31st birthday and to celebrate my husband's promotion at work. We decided on Outback because we were very recently at Texas Roadhouse and we haven't been to Outback in several years. I did an online 'reservation' but we didn't need it; would have been sat immediately anyways. Our hostess was actually more personable than our waitress. That's one of the reasons why I didn't give 5 stars. Our waitress seemed like she really didn't want to be there. I got the 8oz sirloin & shrimp dinner. It was very good. I added garlic butter to my steak and I'm glad I did. The steak was cooked perfectly and the shrimp were delicious. My mashed potatoes were ok. I actually prefer the mashed potatoes at Roadhouse a lot more. These here were fine, but after seeing the salad my mother-in-law got I kinda wish I would have chosen that instead. Only 1 side with the meal I chose. Restaurant is clean, decorated nicely, and very well laid out. I liked how the booth we sat in was raised slightly. I didn't use the restrooms so I have no opinion on that. We ordered waters, so I can't comment on their alcohol situation either. Almost got a dessert but I was already taking food home and didn't want to be completely full/miserable. I love tho how they have the small dessert option for $3.99. Nice to have that instead of a giant dessert. We'll more than likely return, but I'll be trying a different meal. My meal was perfectly good, but my go-to steak place is still Roadhouse. Wow they were lacking last night and this ain't hating because outback is in my top ten Sioux City steak houses. Blooming onion was a disaster, wasn't cooked in the middle and it had skin left on. It tastes like we were chewing plastics. Ordered mom a well done sirloin but it was still bloody in the middle. They didn't give my mom bread with her to go order. I ordered a dressed potato but they just gave her a plain potato. We had an excellent server and this is not a reflection on her wonderful server skills. Ordered delivery around 5:00 p.m. and, for about 90 minutes, it continued to say that they were preparing my order. When ordering, only the porterhouse steak was available; no other steaks were available so I ordered the steak and chicken combo. Around 6:30 p.m., I received a notice saying that my order had been cancelled for "technical" reasons. I will definitely be wary of ordering delivery from here again. read more

Stopped here yesterday with my friends for my belated birthday treat. I've come to this Outback years before and have always had great experiences. The service is excellent and they always have high quality meals and dessert. As of June 2017, this restaurant has been undergoing a storefront facelift for the first time in 20 years and I'm waiting until the project is complete. read more

We always loved going to Outback with our friends back home. Since we've moved to Sioux City, we never ever ever go to this location. Gave them two chances and we're pissed we spent so much money both times. They had a bus boy/ waiter not sure what he was but he continually picked his nose GROSS. My ribeye tasted like a cheap breakfast steak and my salad was inedible drenched in ranch. Hubby got chicken and they serve the sad piece of chicken on a plate all by itself because he ordered a side salad. SO WHAT! I'd be embarrassed serving a meal like that! AREN'T YOU EMBARRASSED? Ordered TOGO food that included two chicken pastas. I understand pickup food won't necessarily be hot once opened but it shouldn't be ICE cold. There was barely any Alfredo sauce on both orders and the pasta itself was incredibly dry. The bread was also stale and burnt on the bottom. The last several times we have gone we have been unable to get prime rib. Once again tonight they were out. We were told if we wanted prime rib to come at 4pm. Most people aren't even off work at 4pm. I ended up ordering a ribeye steak medium rare. It came out completely raw, the center was still cold. My husband ordered a cheese burger and it was raw as well. The waitress was amazing but the food was very subpar. Natalie (I think that was her name) was completely awesome when I was in there on Easter Sunday. I ordered the sirloin steak and chicken meal with mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. The reason I'm only leaving 3 stars.... Or I should say giving 3 stars is because of Natalie. The food was not the greatest. The sirloin had more fat and gristle on it than I've ever gotten on a sirloin steak which was kind of gross when I was sitting there chewing on it and didn't want to spit it out all over my plate with other people sitting there eating nearby. The mashed potatoes were dry, almost no butter that I recall and no gravy? I don't know if I can ask for that or not but whatever. I received a plate full of broccoli instead of the Mac n cheese but it was brought out shortly after I pointed that out...which was the best part of the meal. The chicken was better than the steak and pretty good. I'm a die hard Texas Roadhouse Eater and wanted to try something different since the service there is usually pretty crappy. We're regulars at Outback when traveling because we know we will get decent food, well cooked and served quickly. Wednesday we arrived at 4:30 after a long day of sales calls. I had the filet and shrimp with a wedge salad instead of the potato it comes with, he had the Outback Special (sirloin) with baked potato and veggies. We ordered medium rare steaks with just salt and pepper, not the house seasoning mix. Both steaks were cooked just right. My shrimp were nicely grilled and served over warm cherry tomatoes that were tossed with olive oil and basil. Very good. This was such a dirty Outback Steakhouse. Right away my family noticed that the air conditioning wasn't working -- it was nearly 100 degrees out keep in mind. The women's bathroom was disgusting. There was toilet paper all over the floor, the toilets were dirty. The worst part was that the only "clean" stall had a used pad on the floor! We had gotten our drinks and when our server came back, we asked for straws because we didn't get any the first time, she threw the straws down as if it was such an inconvenience. Our steaks were so chewy we couldn't even finish them. We never once got asked how our food was. Our silverware was dirty, our cups had little black flakes on the inside as well. ( also worth to mention that we had two lemonades, one was VERY cloudy, and the other was what you'd expect a lemonade to look like.) When we brought this up to our server she didn't apologize or say anything actually. She just picked them up and stormed off. She brought back two new drinks but the cups were still dirty. Given how she seemed so upset that we brought the other cups up the first time, we just bit our tongues and didn't have drinks with our meals. I could understand if it was rush hour or busy, but there was two tables total, including us. It was such a disappointment and waste of money unfortunately. read more

Outback has always been high on my franchise favorites. They nail the salmon. Always have. They make garlicy Caesar dressing at each location that will chase vampires away. They generally season their food. And they have an expansive menu and good service. I have had problems with steak before (cooked to much and gristle), and both times they made it right and more. I love the wings here... so I had 'em again! They used to call them Kookaburra wings. Now they are just "Wings." They went from all drummies to half drummies and half segments a few years ago. That kinda sucks, but they are still cooked well and the seasoning is just different that anything else around. And the house made blue cheese dressing is worthy of becoming a bread dip. Maybe it's because I'm from California and out Outback Steakhouses are more on pointe that I was so disappointed tonight. How many times can one ask for ketchup? The number is three...that is until your docile father-in-law loses it and asks for the shift manager (the laughable thing is it still took 5 minutes after that). Add to the the poor waitstaff in general for lack of people (it's 7:15p.m. on a freaking Thursday in South Dakota...like 5 tables to fret about?). Plus brown salads were the salad du jour. I can list much more but why bother? It's obvious from reviews that another review pointing out their shortcomings will do nothing to help them. Thank you shift manager for 20% off. I would start offering patrons 50% to 100% for being a blemish on the face of this chain. Someone needs to have a stern conversation with this owner. read more

Grossly disappointed. While our server,Lee, with a short name but tall was decent, the kitchen staff needs to be fired. I was served grey mashed potatoes that tasted like something from Oscar the Grouch's food stash. My Filet that was supposed to be topped with Crab & Bearnaise & was topped with shrimp instead. I'm not one to usually complain but come on. Food was alright, tasted like a chain restaurant. I was not impressed with the service but they were busy and it seemed as though they were training a few new staff members, so it is understandable. Still something about the employees turned me off... all of them looked like they didn't want to be there; rolling eyes as they walked out of the kitchen; one server was annoyed when the bartender serviced the bar before the server (good call on the bartender, the reaction of the employee is what I was focusing on) and just an overall frown on the majority of employees.
