Pork was decent but not a ton of flavor. Bun was soggy. Just ok. Nothing that would draw me back.

It is WILD to me that arguably the best barbecue in Siouxland is essentially a pop-up inside of a…read morebar downtown. Melting Cow knows what they are doing with a smoker and I am here for it. Whether it's their brisket, pulled pork, Mississippi beef. (my favorite), macaroni and cheese, or even their smoked cream cheese, you have to try it for yourself. When we were there yesterday, a woman told me she drives from Ponca just for their barbecue and walked out with a whole tray full of ribs. It's that good. Make sure to watch their Facebook page for updates on when they will be open and when they are sold out for the day. They also will give you a preview of what the menu is for the day and what is upcoming. I hear the seafood that they do is amazing. I can't wait to be there for that sometime. If you're on historic fourth in downtown, Sioux City, you won't see a restaurant with this name. Look for the bar Major's and as long as they are serving, you have found your place! This place is a sports bar with plenty of TVs, beer on tap, and your basic mixed drinks. So grab some barbecue, grab a beer, and watch a game while you stuff your face!

Called in order to go. Was told 20-25 minutes. Showed up 20 minutes later. Was then told 10 minutes…read morewhich is forgivable. Then after 15 minutes was told 15 more minutes. Which I can do for good bbq. I've been watching their Facebook page for 2-3 years and I've honestly been dying to try it. So after an hour of waiting I was given my food. I ordered two 1 meat platters consisting of chopped brisket for the meat for both. Then for the two sides I chose Mac and cheese for both on one and my wife chose Mac and cheese and fries. We received 3 Mac's, no fries, and a handful of chopped brisket. Also ordered a pizza that was the size of a smooshed Totinos. The total was 64 dollars without tip. Tipped 15 dollars because it's not the wait staffs fault. Drove an hour and a half home just to realize we were missing part of our order. All the hype wasn't worth it. Buy a smoker and make your own. I've learned my lesson. Brisket was good though. Just wish we had gotten more than what we did. It was 5 ounces with the container.

I've been here going on two weeks, and got tired of eating McDonald's everyday so I ordered this…read moreoff of GrubHub. So I was not physically in the location. I ordered a Gyro salad, and paid for extra meat. And added feta, and it end up being sliced which was different. All in all everything was pretty decent. It was a bit greasy as another Yelper pointed out. I wish they would have had a little bit more ingredients, like olives and onions and whatnot, that weren't an upcharge but it is what it is. I asked for extra dressing on the side, but didn't get it, BUT I didn't even need it. It was a perfect amount of dressing. The dressing and tzatziki sauce were a little different then What I'm used to, and what I've had all across the country, but it will still good. They actually read my notes and requests, and sent me with utensils and napkins, and omitted the pita bread via my request! Pretty good little spot. I would probably order from them again the next time I am in this region. ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. We pulled into Sioux City overnight on a Tesla road trip specifically to try Diamond Thai. We had…read moreread about the fried tofu with their "secret" sweet peanut sauce and other vegan options. High hopes. What we got was a nearly empty dining room and service that never caught up to a two-top. When we walked in, one couple was finishing and soon left. After that we were the only people in a room that could easily hold 30. It took a while for a man (we assumed the owner) to bring menus, then several more minutes for water. Eventually a woman with very limited English came to the table. We worked through questions as best we could and ordered the fried tofu appetizer plus two vegetable entrees: drunken noodles and Pad Khing. Rice on the vegetable plate was $3 extra -- odd when you expect rice with a veggie meal. The tofu arrived with a generic sweet-and-sour sauce. No peanut flavor at all. My wife had to go to the counter to ask about the advertised peanut sauce. The response was a handful of crushed peanuts to sprinkle on the sweet-and-sour. That is not a "secret sweet peanut sauce." That is a workaround after the fact. The entrees were edible, nothing more. The drunken noodles had a few vegetables tossed in like an afterthought. The Pad Khing was fine once you paid extra for rice. Nobody checked on the table the whole meal. The man stayed in a back room with a young child. The woman who was serving us ate her own dinner behind the counter. When we finished, no check came. I walked up while she was scraping her plate into the trash, paid with Apple Pay, left a modest tip we didn't feel was earned, and walked out. Food: okay. Service: absent. The peanut-sauce bait-and-switch was the real disappointment. We left wondering how a place this empty, with this kind of attention, sits at 4+ stars. I'd hate to see what happens if ten people walked in at once. We won't be back.
