My husband & I go there everyday (except Monday because they're closed on Mondays) for an ice cream date. It's become our little date time away together. My favorite is Black Raspberry. His is Butter Pecan. If you're lucky you get these little pockets of the flavor bursts inside the ice cream. Extra bonus! I believe the other flavors are Strawberry, Root beer, Tropical Orange & Green Apple along with Black Raspberry & Butter Pecan. I'm not sure if I'm missing one or not. Ken has also been fighting cancer for 14 years, and he's been displaced ever since his home was damaged. The place was super clean, they give you HUGE portions, and talk about fast and friendly service! Not only was our waitress Cayla super nice, so was the cook, Cody. And come to find out, they're twins! I have twins in my family, and when Cayla had a few minutes to spare, she approached our table, and we chatted briefly about multiples, as well as what brought us to Harvey's that particular day. So, as far as Ken and I are concerned, Harvey's is at the top of our list! Their food is delicious, and the staff is super friendly! Duck breast - this was an okay dish. My avid hunting colleague asked me what type duck is it, so I had to look up what type ducks Maple Leaf Farms typically utilizes. Turns out it's the White Pekin ducks, due to their mild un-gamey flavor. They are supposed to be tender but a few if my slices were a bit chewy. Either way, it was a decent dish, but Im not a huge fan of risotto and would probably order something different next time. I was also tempted to order a dessert, because I was in the mood and was curious what a cashew cobbler was. It turns out that it's a lot of ice cream and just a bit of mashed up nuts.
