I hadn't been to a Panera in a couple years. I asked the girl behind the counter about the dishes and she seemed somewhat annoyed or didn't want me to bother her. The store was not clean however it was around 1:00 pm. There were approximately five employees. I didn't get the feeling that there was a manger on At the time. I sadly don't like to give reviews that are under 2 star but unfortunately today is one of those days. I am a frequent Panera eater no matter where I am traveling because of the convenience in knowing that there will be a "healthier" option quickly while I am on the go. Unfortunately this specific Panera in Sioux City is sadly the slowest and always had items out of stock. The drive through takes so long, when I order a pick up it's never ready on time, and if I go in and order at the counter it's hard to get someone to take my order. The food is fine but usually is not up to par with other Panera's that I have experienced. I hope they can fix this because I love Panera and enjoy supporting them. read more

The food was good. My issue is that they don't tell you when you order the "You Pick Two" if the sandwich you ordered is part of the deal or not. When I got to the window and got my total, I asked, "Did the price of the You Pick 2 go up? This seems really high." The gentleman working said, "The Greek Goddess sandwich isn't part of the You Pick Two. We can't cut it in half". I said, "Man, that sure would have been nice to know when I was placing my order..." No response. Just closed the window and walked away. Found out later that I am not the only person that this has happened to. I'm not asking them to break rules to get me what I want, but simply communicate that what I'm asking for isn't an option in that specific combo. This is the dirtiest place ever!!! Everyone working was dirty. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!! The food wasn't good at all. None of us got filled up. Panera Bread is poppin' in Sioux City on a Sunday. There is apparently a 5 minute parking spot you can take advantage of if you pre-order. My stepdad is the type that gives zero...well you know, and so we took that spot upon arrival. The line at 10:50am on a Sunday was much longer than expected. The wait in the line was about 8/10 minutes. We ordered a latte with almond milk, mocha, asiago bagel uncut and a blueberry muffin. My stepdad used his rewards card ( which he says my mother riddles his keychain with them). My stepdad's bagel was literally the smallest bagel they had (my mom may have warned them that he's on an eternal diet ) since it was comically little for his size. My blueberry muffin was good, fluffy, with well-distributed blueberries though nothing crazy. About 5 minutes later they called out "Debbie" a few times from the counter where you pick up your order. Just an FYI, whoever's name is on the reward card...regardless if a 6'2" mildly intimidating man placed the order and may obviously not be "Debbie"...they will call it. We scooped up our drinks. They were good, not the best mochas in the world but good. The drink and condiment station was clean as was the rest of the store. I'm not a huge Panera person, but this place fit the bill for a morning mocha and muffin though maybe pass on the 5 minute parking spot if you're coming around this hour. read more

Terrible service in the drive through!!! Went through the drive through, ordered 2 sandwiches with sides, 3 specialty drinks and a bagel. Tried to order mac n cheese but it "wasn't ready yet". At the window we received one of the sandwiches, the bagel, and 2 of the three drinks. Asked for the drink and the other sandwich, and they told us to pull forward. Same girl at the window came out to confirm what we were missing. Waited 10 minutes. New girl brings out completely wrong sandwich. Went back to the drive through and talked to the first girl again. She was "confused" as to what which sandwich we wanted, even though she had confirmed it twice! Waited another 5 minutes. We then had to go inside and wait in line and ask for the correct sandwich AGAIN and stand there to watch while they made it. read more

Such a Happy Meal and I don't mean McDonalds. The Squash soup here is excellent! Just like my mom used to like cause she never made it. The Avocado is a perfect companion to the Chipotle Chicken sandwich. Perfect to eat by their fireplace as it snows outside. read more

I have to say I was not impressed by the mask Nazi who verbally berated me from behind the counter. I had forgotten my mask, and asked if I could buy one because obviously they were kicking me out. They told me I had to leave and come back with a mask which I thought was terrible customer service. My point of this review? whoever are the managers, your store needs to have masks available to buy, and your employees need to learn how to communicate to customers politely, we are the very heart and soul of your business! I fell in love with Panera Bread in college and was so happy when Sioux City got their Hamilton location. I sadly didn't go much because it was so far away for me, but now that a second location opened in the Lakeport Commons, yay! I LOVE it here! Everything is always good and this place is clean and so comfortable. I could have every meal here. I come alone a lot and don't feel 'weird' doing so. Customer service sucks! If you order food or go through the drive through you better check you order before leaving because they messed up my order and I had to go back (thirty min drive) to get what they forgot and they didn't even try to say they were sorry or compensate me for their mistake. Today me and 3 other woman along with two babies went to Panera today around 10:30 A.M. We all love this place as it is delicious! But our service was not so great. First of all the young woman at the counter was very rude and wearing the same gloves the whole time. She also pressed in the wrong cash amount and did not know the correct amount to give back so she was probably frustrated which was no big deal but then she proceeded to drop it in my friends hand and say "HERE" very rudely. As well as walking around with her bagel in her hand around the back walking swinging her arms which is very unsanitary. To top it all off they were out of some bagels and were very rude about it when I asked. This was not a good experience and I am very unsatisfied. read more

I was so lad when they decided to open a second store in Sioux City! Lived the first one..still do, but this one is conveniently by shopping areas and other stores I don't think I've ever been disappointed with the food. I will not be going back to this Panera Bread. I ordered a kale power Caesar salad with chicken and soup in the drive thru a month ago. When I got home with my food (20 minutes away), I realized my salad had no chicken (I checked my bag before I left the drive thru, but didn't think to look closely at my salad). I called the manager, David, immediately and he said he would mail me a coupon to Panera for the price of the salad, which was almost $10. Well, a month later and still no coupon has arrived. I went here this past Sunday evening. We went through the drive through about 8:40pm. And all the lights were off. We couldn't read the menu. And when we asked if the lights were supposed to be off we were told it's because they were closing soon (9pm). They wouldn't turn them back on. So we had to look up the menu on our phone. Ordered. Got home, and I had order the turkey avocado BLT sandwich. It didn't have avocado and it didn't come with a pickle spear like the menu said. I placed my order online to be picked up at 12:30 PM (order #252459798). I arrived 10 minutes till and it wasn't ready which was fine. The order finally came out at 12:37 PM. And again, it's fine that I had to wait a little longer. I get back to work to realize that the order is incomplete. They had left my tuna salad sandwich out. Since I'm at work and 20 minutes away I called. I called and called until I reached the Asst. Mgr., Jason. I requested that he refund my order which he said he would. He asked what my order consisted of so he can reproduce it, got my credit card info, and my email address so he can email proof of the refund. If/when I get my refund, I'll change the star ratings. If not, then I will never go back. BTW, now that I'm reading other reviews, I'm starting to see a pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR ORDER(S)!!! Food was great but I purchased a large chi. The menu says 399 and I was charged extra 75cents. When I asked why I was told the large is really a medium. Ok 75 cents but a 5 dollar chi for 20oz. I used to love Panera but they just recently just got rid of my favorite sandwich the ham and Swiss.

Worst Panera I've been too. Went through drive through and before I even ordered I was told there would be a 20 minute wait. Multiple times my order is either incorrect or missing items. Does not matter what time of the day I go I am told that they are sold out of items: bread, pastry items, soup, etc. Sadly, this restaurant was my favorite in other towns but not Sioux City. I anticipate that this restaurant will eventually close because customers will go elsewhere. read more
